We stay here annually on our way down and again on our way back from Lake Tahoe. It's a solid place to stay. It's clean and comfortable. Our king sized room has a somewhat separate area from the bed with a couch, table, fridge, sink, microwave. (Coffee maker too if that's your thing). The free breakfast is not good. I mean REALLY not good. The hard boiled eggs in the prepackaged two pack like you can get at a gas station is the only thing worth grabbing. Just plan on going to McDonald's next door in the morning. Haven't used the pool but the smell of chlorine hits you when you walk into the hotel. Front desk is always pleasant. We will continue staying here twice a year every year. read more

We had searched all over Klamath Falls for a room and everything was booked solid because of farm workers bringing in the crop. I had grown up as a kid here in K-Falls 52 years ago and wanted to come back to see the area. They had bumped the pricing because of the demand, and I get that, but it wasn't worth half of what we paid. It was reasonable clean and the staff was polite, she said they bumped the prices, but I wouldn't recommend the Shilo Inn. The a/c unit was noisy, the TV was old and dim, the room overall was just okay at best. For those of you who like breakfast, all they had was cold cereal, pre-wrapped omelets, bagels, and muffins and a microwave to heat them. Only stay here as a last resort. read more

Offers a generous 20% Military Veterans discount (w/ID) . The largest hotel in Klamath Falls. Located at the bottom of the hill from OIT. Reasonably priced for the area. The king junior suite is clean and spacious. I like the half wall with the added mini living room on the other side. The pullout sofa converts into a full sized bed. It has it's own (smaller) flat panel tv and bar sink along with the rooms mini fridge. The king bed was comfortable and had 5 standard sized down pillows. The toilet & tub are enclosed, the sink is outside of the bathroom. There is lots of counter and table space throughout the room. I highly recommend upgrading to a junior suite king. Customer service is excellent. We were able to check-in prior to 4pm *easy peasy*. This will be our go-to place when staying overnight in the Klamath area. The indoor pool is heated to 84 degrees. Made a stop at Klamath Falls on my way back home from a trip. I made a reservation on the same day so it was pretty expensive at $220 a night. The rooms are big, the bed is comfortable but the bathroom was dirty for some reason. I didn't call the front desk because I was really tired and they had already changed my room once. That was disappointing as well as the grab and go breakfast. I would expect that for $220 a night I would get at least a hot meal. Oh well, now I know for next time. read more

Had the king sized bedroom with sofa pull out w a room divider in the middle for partial privacy. Main bed was very comfy. Sofa bed was very lumpy so it was good enough for a small kid, definitely not comfy for an adult. Everything in room was clean. It said we had a kitchenette which consisted of a mini fridge, sink, and low powered microwave. NO kitchenware. However, the person at front desk found some bowls for us. Made use of the large indoor pool, Jacuzzi, and wet sauna. The dry sauna didn't work. The fitness room only had a few machines but was enjoyed by other guests. It's located further from the downtown area which was fine for us as we wanted something quieter. There are several American restaurants within walking distance. Good value. They kicked us out and called the cops on me and Rachel. This was after I stopped the maintenance man from barging into the room while Rachel was in the bathtub. Then Rachel had to hold the door and stop them a 2nd time while the front desk lady / Manager distracted me.... I left the key in the room and asked for help. I shared that my wife was deaf and in the bathtub. Instead of looking at hallway video showing me going in and out of the room all morning or sending a woman to the room... the maintenance man insisted that he had to make visual confirmation with her while she was in the bathtub. At this point I physically stopped him from entering the room. Then I made a complaint with the manager. While distracted they attempted to enter again. Luckily Rachel was now out of the bath and able to hold the door shut on the 2nd attempt. The end result was that we were both kicked out for life. This happened in October. - October 2024 Now they kicked out Rachel's son for letting his daughter, and immediate nieces and nephews swim along with a few adults there to help supervise... I was not there for the swimming incident that happened to Rachel's son this month but I described the swimming situation to the best of my knowledge. - March 2025 I miss the good ole days when the Shilo was a landmark of our community... and why don't they serve breakfast anymore?? Our family stayed at the Shilo Inn. We agreed it was an excellent value. The party consisted of my wife and our dog in one unit, her cousin in the adjoining room. We were on a pilgrimage to the Tule Lake internment camp, and this is the closest town to there. The value proposition was great. That may be skewed by our baseline. We live in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City (my wife in the former, me in the latter; her cousin is on the Peninsula, which is south of San Francisco proper). These are high cost cities. So relative to hotels there or anyplace we travel, this was a bargain. But even in absolute terms, the quality was impressive. We had suites. That meant a little sitting area. (The cousin had stayed here prior. She had a business trip to the area. She remembered it, and she recommended it.) We happened to be there during the same weekend as a vintage car meet up. That was a bonus, to see the vehicles in the parking lot. One of the owners, who makes money in the restoration business, told us they expected 300 participants. The downside is it was impossible to get a reservation at any local restaurant, and it was crowded, but the better interpretation is it was festive. You live longer as an optimist than as a pessimist. Thus favor the positive. There was a minor issue. I am guessing it has to do with post-pandemic labor market misalignment. There are jobs, and there are workers. The jobs aren't attractive to the workers. The restaurant was closed. That was not the only one. En route, various other places could not open up dining for the season. One hotelier told me she couldn't hire. I am extrapolating. In this case, however, there is no reason to be concerned. We grabbed breakfast at McDonald's, which was not even a thirty second walk from the entrance. There was a Burger King across the street as well. There were other dogs. They are canine friendly. We arranged late checkout for an extra fee, not unreasonable. That allowed us to visit Tule Lake on a ranger tour, then return. read more

I love this place! Out of all of the hotels I've stayed at in my life, this has been my favorite. It's dated but clean, our room was big, it had everything we needed to enjoy our time during the chilly weather, and everyone at the hotel has been so kind and accommodating. The manager (I'm assuming he's the manager) did something special for us and I will always be grateful to him for it. This is our first time in Klamath Falls and hopefully won't be our last but we will be staying at the Shilo Inn any time we come here. read more

It is clean and pet friendly, but crashes down hill from there. It is run down and you obviously uncared for by whoever owns it. All the things that used to make it a great place to stay are no longer in play. Such as the restaurant and bar... gone. Breakfast included- gone. Clean looking jacuzzi-poor condition and to hot to enjoy. The pool doubles as a ice chest for drinks it's so cold-- the phone in the rooms are disconnected. The location is great. Close to restaurants and the grass area in the back is great for dogs. However, wifi is useless, beds are not comfortable and creak with every turn. The walls are thin. This hotel has the opportunity to be a very good hotel for people needing to do business with the Oregon Institute of Technology because of its close location. Unfortunately, the young front desk needs a lot of training in hospitality. They had an attitude that they are doing customers a favor to clean your room. The first night we miss the little sign saying that you need to make a prior day's reservations to clean the room. So we made a reservation on day 2, and our room was not cleaned the following day. Hotel Shilo, the attitude of your front desk needs to change. I'm willing to drive a little farther for a bit more courtesy. How hard is it to say I'm sorry I'll make sure your room is promptly cleaned, instead of calling the cleaning manager and saying that a customer is complaining about not cleaning a room right in front of me? As context matters in life - In an effort to help a life-long friend move across multiple states, and after a 3-hour flight and a 6-hour drive with a disabled friend and his 16-year old cat, I pulled into Shilo Inns Klameth Falls. With tired eyes, I made the reservations for 2 rooms for that night from the parking lot of the Shilo Inns. I selected this hotel because on Expedia, they have listed themselves as 'Pet Friendly'. As it turns out, this hotel is only 'dog friendly'. I was told by the front desk staff that this is stated in the 'fine print' and that I failed to read this. I acknowledge that I failed to read in the fine print that 'Pet Friendly' actually means 'Only Dog Friendly'. As I do not currently own a pet and have never traveled with one before, it never occurred to me while making the reservation that 'Pet Friendly' would mean dogs only. Therefore, I did not consider any issue arising when making the reservation. As soon as I learned this at the front desk, I accepted this information, owned my mistake, and simply requested a cancellation of the sale and reservation that was less than 10-minutes old. This is when I was told that they could not refund me and that I had to contact Expedia to make this happen. Which I understood and did. I completely understand that hotels, airlines, rental car companies, and the like, create non-cancellation/no-refund policies to prevent individuals or groups from securing assets, which prevent others from reserving these assets, only to cancel after locking up these assets under reservations, which could cause substantial lost business and revenue. To that point, had this be refunded directly, we had the reservation for less than 10-minutes. The sale could have simply been voided and the rooms been made available to others immediately. This hotel had no management on property at the time of our visit and there was no manager available for Expedia to connect with when they reached out to resolve this matter. After receiving an email from Expedia 2 days later, stating the hotel is refusing the refund, I called the hotel to speak with the manager. When I called, I was told there was no manager on property and that she "may be there on Monday or possibly Tuesday". For me this now begs the question - What hotel operates without management for multiple days? What hotel operates without the staff knowing when a manager will be on premises? Apparently, the same hotel that refuses to refund a potential guest who made an error and is informed of this error within minutes of making a reservation. To be clear, I reached out to connect with the manager to confirm that the manager understood the circumstances of the situation. I believe that any reasonable person would understand that a request for cancellation within minutes of booking was not why the cancellation policy they are choosing to enforce in this situation was put in place. In this circumstance, a refund would be not only reasonable, logical, and a good business practice in customer service, but is just the right thing to do. I have been charged $246.88 for an error that is easily understood and correctable. Instead, Shilo Inns is choosing to keep this money and refuses to do the right thing. This manager's decision to not refund this makes no sense, has been done in bad faith, and should have taken no more than a quick conversation with a logical and reasonable person to resolve. Instead, I was on the phone with the Expedia representative for over 23 minutes working to resolve this. I have spent more time emailing with Expedia twice and I have called the hotel back to be told that there is no manager on staff until Monday or maybe Tuesday. Plus, the time to write this review. I'm confused as to why this much time and resource has to be wasted by all sides of this to get a fair and appropriate resolution. This experience is unacceptable from any reasonable point of view. As I have never stayed here, I have no idea how the amenities or accommodations are at this hotel. What I can share, is that you may find their customer service, business practices, and general disregard for doing what is right are suspect. When consumers choose where to spend their money, many factors come into play - quality, services, value, convenience, experience, etc. How businesses treat people should matter most. If this is important to anyone reading this, when in Klameth Falls, I recommend that you choose a different place to stay. read more

We stayed here as we were travelling through the area - once on the way to our destination and once on the way back. The first room was a double queen room and appeared clean, but felt a little questionable (as far as cleanliness). The second room was a King room with a sofa, and felt much cleaner. The rooms are huge and the beds are comfortable, but the sofa bed mattress was pretty terrible. They are reasonably priced and offer a veteran discount. They are also pet friendly with an additional fee. We were offered a lakeview, which was kind of misleading - it's more of a freeway view with the lake in the distance. We will probably stay here again when travelling through. read more

When I travel and I just need a place to sleep that is also pet friendly, I just need a couple things. Clean, quiet and comfortable, I knew that I was not going to be spending my evening and day here so Shilo met my expectations and then exceeded them. Arriving late and being greeted by the front desk staff with a friendly smile and a hearty welcome . The front desk staff wanted to make sure that I knew the lay of the land and if there was anything they could do to make my stay better, and I like that type of hospitality. The double queen room was large and spacious. The separate sinks and vanity along with a refrigerator and microwave added to the hominess. Beds were very comfortable with decent linens that made slumber after a long day of driving very easy. The pool and fitness center are open 24/7 to make your options of exercise up to your choosing of hours. Myself, I chose a hot tub and sauna combo to unwind after the time sitting in the drivers seat. Free wi-fi and breakfast are included and that is a complete bonus since I was just looking for a place to stay in Klamath Falls for the night. The only reason for not adding that 5th star was the luxury element that I do love. If you are traveling to Klamath falls with your pup and want a nice clean and comfortable place to stay with good rates then this is your place. read more

I would rate this a 3 1/2 star actually. When checking in, the girl at the front desk had the personality of a rock. I checked in without any issues and I hauled my luggage up to my room, which overlooked Crater Lake Highway. The room was dated but not bad actually. It was very large and was clean. There was plenty of room to stretch out and I had no problems putting my luggage and other things out of the way. The bathroom was nice with plenty of room. All towels and linen were clean. There was a nice TV that had local channels but many of the channels did not have subscriptions so you had to scroll through those to find those that were included. Microwave and small fridge were used and worked good. I did not hear much around our room but occasionally I'd hear the undisciplined child running up and down the hallway. Other than that, it was relatively quiet. Breakfast was maybe average at best, probably a bit less than average. The selection was small but they did have a few things warm and cold. There was plenty of parking around the hotel which was well lit. Having lived in Kfalls for a few years, I was familiar with neighborhood and area. There are a few restaurants close, but the bulk of the good eating places are a few miles away near the city center. All-in-all, I'd stay here again as the neighborhood is better than a few around Klamath Falls. It's right on the highway so about an hour later, you could be rolling into Crater Lake from this location. read more

The price for this place was incredible. In California, we couldn't get the cheapest motel for the price, and ours was a luxury room on the 3rd floor. Quiet, with everything we needed. WiFi was fast, for hotel internet. We stayed two nights. Bed was comfortable & firm enough - didn't sag in the middle as so many beds in other hotels we have stayed. Choice of pillows. Had the usual amenities - in-room coffee, fridge, microwave, flat-screen tv and more channels than most hotels. Clean. We slept well. Didn't care that the restaurant wasn't open - there are restaurants and fast food places within walking distance. The hotel did provide breakfast. As I mentioned, the price was amazingly inexpensive for what we got. The only gripe I have is that they didn't serve bacon with their complementary continental breakfast.....not enough to change my rating here. read more

Stayed here with my husband and our dog Shelby. When we arrived the check in was less than 5 minutes. We also got to buffet coupons to the on site restaurant, the buffet was enormous and delish. We had a two queen bed room. The room was huge! Had a nice kitchenette area. I like that it had pergo flooring and no carpet. A much cleaner feel in my opinion. Beds were very comfy. Now the reason for 4 stars....no shampoo, poor quality Tv and what looked like blood on the bed spread, With that being said, still a nice part of town, felt very safe, and great value. This was our last stay of our 8 day vaca. We all wish we could stay here longer. We loved this place. Beds were comfy and white clean, my favorite. The room was huge. Smelled clean!! Couldn't hear any traffic. We used the indoor pool and hot tub and we never do that unless it's outside. It was blue in color. Not that gross green where you can't see the bottom. I could see the bottom. Staff was super friendly. This place was 1 of the cleanest Shilo's I've ever stayed at. If we come to this town again this would be the place we would stay at. read more
