Highly recommend this small business breakfast joint. For first time in my life I caught myself eating Hash Browns without Ketchup. They were that good. Upon receiving plate i decided to try the hash brown first. Kind of like when receiving your fast food burger meal with side of fries, the first thing most people consume is the French fry. And if the fries are that good (and you are really hungry) u don't bother opening up ketchup and consume all fries before biting into the burger. Back to best Hash browns I've ever tasted....i took a first bite and immediately took another bite and then another until all gone. I realize i didn't touch anything else on my plate. If u eat breakfast there and it's close to serving lunch items ~11 A.M , you can request biscuits and dinner rolls fresh off the oven. Butter them up and ask for Jam for even better taste. read more

Shiloh's is a diner which is a typical diner in some ways. The decor is pleasant and the menu has some common diner food. They serve homemade meringue pies. The service was excellent, nice and quick. They have a different special each day of the week. The special on their chalk board was a turkey dinner. Dan and I both ordered the country steak. I thought we were getting chicken fried steak, but the menu said "country fried." I was surprised there was no crispy breading. Dan said it was like his mother made it. She pounded the steak and dipped it in flour. I guess that's the difference between country fried and chicken fried. Dan enjoyed having a steak like his mother made. I liked it, too, but prefer chicken fried. The order was huge and neither of us could eat more than half. What I liked the most were the mashed potatoes and cream gravy. The mashed potatoes were made with fresh red potatoes with their skins on and I think the gravy might have been made with real cream instead of milk. I've eaten at diners recently that didn't even use fresh potatoes. I've started asking if they use instant or powdered potatoes. If they do, I choose a baked potato or fries. I noticed their chicken fried chicken is made with thigh meat. A lot of people prefer thigh meat to breast. It's supposed to be a higher quality protein. Good diner food. Went for lunch and had the country fried steak with mashed potatoes, cream gravy and steamed carrots. They also give each diner one of their huge dinner rolls with whipped butter. I ate at the Shiloh's Restaurant on N. Aspen in Tulsa on Friday evening, 3 November, and again on Sunday afternoon, 5 November. My meals were two of the best home-style restaurant meals I've ever had. I had the roast beef platter on Friday - incredible. The homemade mashed potatoes, rolls, gravy, and beef were out of this world. And the portion was very large. I left stuffed. But not stuffed enough to forego eating there again on Sunday, to celebrate an early Thanksgiving dinner with my son. The Sunday turkey dinner special included a large portion of baked turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, dressing, cranberry relish, and one more side. Another incredible meal, and the homemade pecan pie alamode we had for dessert was the best I've every had, and I bake! From the owners, Leonora and Jose', to the host, John, to our server both times, Evelita, everyone was amazingly friendly and did everything possible to make us feel welcome and wanted. I walked in a stranger and went out with new friends. We had a party of 60 people and the staff was very professional and friendly. The manager (John) went above and beyond to make sure that we were taken care of. He even interacted with several of the people giving the restaurant a very family like feeling. As far as the food, I wish I could give it 10 stars, because 5 stars aren't enough. The best family style food that you will find anywhere. If you need help getting started on what to order. See my posted review. The Saturday morning I was there, The cook did not show up, there were at least 20 men waiting outside to get inside at 7 AM. If it had not been for the night manager driving by and seeing all the people standing out in the parking lot, they would not have opened on time. Once we all got inside nothing was prepared, I think there was only one waitress, and the night manager was trying to get the people who showed up for work on time to serve the customers. It was very chaotic. This is the second time I have seen this type of chaos early mornings. I have been going to Shiloh's since 1994 and ever since new management taken over it has been less than desirable. Leader ship needs to take a strong look at how they have allowed this type of inefficiency to exist. Everything falls upon leader ship. You can either strong arm everybody or set in place how you want the workplace environment to be to include timeliness and customer service. I watched as a single waitress try to serve 20 guys plus the rest of us sitting in the restaurant. She was on top of it, but the confusion and inefficiency was very evident. You are setting your people up to fail. Shilohs had a very good reputation, and if this continues you will no longer be in business. read more

Hands down my favorite spot in Tulsa for some down home country cooking. I've eaten here many times for breakfast, lunch and dinner and can't recall a time where I left hungry or unsatisifed. When it's busy it can be a few minutes to get drinks or refills but it's to be expected. I've not had to ever wait a time I considered unreasonable. You probably want to know how the food is right? Haven't been to Shiloh' in years. I remember now why... Placed a GrubHub order the other day for a chicken and dumplings dinner and their meatloaf dinner. Meatloaf dinner was OK. The chicken and dumplings were terrible. How can you call yourself a home cooking restaurant and serve something so awful? The dumplings were gooey and the chicken was so shredded I couldn't find it. No juice whatsoever. They gave me two containers of the dumplings and one went in the trash the next morning. I'm sure some may love it, but don't get the chicken and dumplings. My wife and I stopped at Shiloh's to check things out. I used to eat lunch at Shiloh's when I worked in the area. That was when they were located at their former location about 20 years ago. I remembered they had good food and the lady who owned the restaurant was very nice. My curiosity got the best of me and wanted to know if things were still the same, or have things changed over the years. When we walked in the door we saw a display of some good looking pies on display. We were then greeted by our waitress Morgan who showed us to our seat and took our drink order. The menu had mostly the same items that I remembered from the years past. Morgan brought us home made dinner rolls with butter. These rolls were very good. Shiloh's also has strawberry sauce on the table to be used on the rolls. We ordered the sampler appetizer with onion rings, fried mushrooms and potato skins. They were very good. For dinner my wife ordered chicken strips, mashed potato and corn. I ordered chicken fried steak, mashed potato and corn. We were pleased with our meals. They were as close to home cooking as anyplace I've eaten in a long time. The portions were more than we could eat. We took leftovers home. The only issue with our meal was the corn was canned corn. Even though it wasn't bad. I feel frozen corn would be a better choice. As far as our waitress is concerned. I found Morgan to be friendly, attentive and an excellent server. When I mentioned to her that I used to eat at Shiloh's many years ago and mentioned the nice lady who used to own the restaurant. Morgan said that was her mother who owned Shiloh's. I told Morgan that we were pleased with our experience and the food was basically the same as I remembered from so many years ago. We will be back. read more

We have been here twice, and I think it's my favorite dinner now. There's a huge selection, and we like everything we have ordered. Love the char on the bacon wrapped hamburger steak. Chicken fried chicken was well cooked too. Great gravy. Tried the fried cabbage since I rarely see it as a side at restaurants, and I like it. One of the best parts of eating is Shiloh's is actually the fresh dinner rolls they serve before your entree because you can eat it with the strawberry rhubarb preserve they place on every table. It's not too sweet, so I really like it. We also tried the lemon cream pie today. Probably the best pie I have tasted in a while. Yum! So far, the only thing I didn't really like is the onion rings because I don't like the flaky breading on it. read more

For as I'm concerned it's FRAUD. FOOD REPORT: I ordered two eggs over easy, got scrambled. I asked waitress if she knew what "scattered hash browns" were and she said yes. Didn't get a crispy one on my plate. The bacon on my wife's order was so fat and greasy, she only ate a small meaty portion. Shine on picture I is grease.. Biscuits just don't have that airy feel. Met a group of friends at Shiloh's yesterday! They were very accommodating as our group grew! Our server did a great job as some had to order immediately and others trickled in after orders were in! The food was amazing, especially the rolls! Many had omelets and seemed to enjoy them! I had a special order due to dental work the day before. First time eating here. We ordered carry out, and I got to say I regret we didn't dine in. The whole vibe was welcoming, and a local band was playing. Music was great while we waited. I believe the manager took our order, and he was very courteous and patient with us. The food was delicious. We ordered the Friday fried catfish special, which was cooked to perfection. The sides were broccoli, fried okra, and red mashed potatoes, which also were delicious. My mistake was that I didn't take pictures because we were really hungry. Didn't know that they changed managers or the family sold out. The place had temporary air conditioning with five units stuck in the ceiling and not electrically installed correctly. The service was horrible. There were only two people working when we got there and they opened at seven. We got there at 730 and it was 15 min before we got drinks.Another couple came in after us and they got their food before we did, they now serve the hotel breakfast for next-door. It's not the Shiloh's of old. it was too late to change locations because there was a group of about eight of us there. I was very disappointed and I will not go back. Home cooking in a handbasket!!!! I found this little gem having a staycation and now I even order this place for lunch. The desserts are GREAT and the homemade rolls with homemade strawberry rhubarb jam alone could be a meal. I've always had great service and they've even taken my order almost at closing. I have heard of Shiloh's but had never eaten here. We went for lunch the other day and wow, it was great! The rolls are TO DIE FOR! I ordered the breakfast poboy which was HUGE! It was so much bread, that I ended up taking it off the bun and eating it by itself. But, it was good! I also ordered a pancake (bc- pregnancy cravings) and it was so yummy!! It was perfectly cooked and the syrup was nice and warm. The water tasted like toilet water for some reason, so I ordered an unsweet tea which was good. This restaurant is a gem for Broken Arrow. It is truly home cooked food. I had the ribs tonight as they were the special and goodness! They were moist and the sauce was incredible! Came in from California for the Scottish Games as we do every year. Showed up for Shiloh's breakfast at 9:30am. Closed!! So disappointed.

Had high hopes for this place but really let me down. I had biscuits and gravy. Biscuits were dry and blan, and the gravy was more greas and salt than anything. Only good thing was the free jelly they give you for the rolls. read more

We just keep going back -- like making dinner at Home without dishes to clean! Family restaurant open to all. Plenty of fried goodies, fresh meringue and cream pies, filling dinners, and Oh! Those Rolls!! Staff is scattered with personalities, and you can easily find your faves and request their section when you return. Interior harkens back to humble beginnings and a comfort level lost in overly commercialized locations. Recently we took my folks there to eat. We ALL loved the garlic mashed new potatoes, aNd of course the fried cabbage. Pops devoured the pork ribs and we will definitely keep them on our easy, go-to choices. The burger buns are homemade and make the delicious mess even more tasty. I'm a huge fan of the Mushroom Swiss -- no skimping allowed with those fun guys. Not sure if a small band occasionally entertains weekend nights -- call to confirm. We have seen table holding for optimum experience, so be ready for fun. I haven't been here since pre-pandemic. It's changed a lot. I agree with other recent reviews that the place was dirty looking with sticky table, chairs and menu. Lights in the bathroom weren't working except for the emergency lights and it was dirty with no paper towels and smelled. The building ac didn't appear to be working and they have portable ac units scattered about - I understand if the can't afford to replace a broken ac system, but it's a restaurant and portable units look trashy and unsanitary. If it were a dumpy bar, it may be passable, but not a family restaurant. There was only one other customer there at 5:30 pm, concerning. Service was good and she checked on me often. Food was mediocre and definitely not as good as I remember years ago. Water tased like a chemical and not drinkable. Honestly, I will not go back again. It's a shame to see this happen to what used to be a nice restaurant. I hope you ever owns it can turn it back around. read more
