I went to go get a doordash order for two people waited about 10 minutes for somebody to even help me. Then waited another 10 minutes for the food. when I was given the food, I was given one order which I'm glad I checked before I left or I would've left with only one order. So I went back inside to let them know that they left one of my orders a worker I'm going to assume may be the owner who was not even helping me looked at a coworker to to talk about me. The meat was tender and very well seasoned, the gravy was alot more flavorful than most. The roast beef was tasty and the chilli cheese fries was good but we wished it was wetter. The rolls were light and fluffy, the jam was delicious but a little sweet and the home made butter was really good. Something has happened at Shiloh's over the last couple of years. I once loved coming here for good Country Home Cooked Food. It seemed as if you were entering a family home, with a huge dining room. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food served hot and fresh with great attention to flavor. I am not sure if it was sold or taken over by the drunk uncle of the family. I have attempted to return, every couple of months, hoping that whatever changed, will change back. But, instead, I can not escape this one waitress that seems to chain smoke between the time she takes your order and the time your order arrives. It seems they don't check the odors that emanate from the staff. Refills on drinks are almost impossible and even the "Go-To" Chicken and Dumplings has been served cool the last couple visits. The thing is, Shiloh's is not what it was 3 years ago. At least, not on my last several visits. It is my practice to take a break from an establishment if I receive a bad meal or bad service, with Shiloh's it was both. But, I return and hope I find it was a unique experience. Got seated right away. Alicia is my waitress. Friendly enough. Came to table promptly to take order. I ordered chicken fried chicken with gravy, fried cabbage and potatoes on side. As I waited for order I had one of their world famous rolls which was delicious with just butter. Good came out almost too fast. They must have everything prepared. They catered my company lunch. While I had no interaction with their staff or establishment I am happy to judge them off of the taste and presentation of food. First, I am Happy that we do a local business and while I've never been to their location I have seen it in passing on the highway. We had turkey and dressing catered in that was prepackaged for us. Along with potatoes, dressing, green beans, rolls, pecan and pumpkin pie. It was a great portioned for dinner serving that I couldn't even eat all of mine. Normally I am not a big stuffing fan but theirs tasted sweet. I had never had sweet stuffing before but man this was good with the turkey gravy. The turkey was not dried out and lets just say I can take or leave the veggie of green breads as a preference. Shiloh's is one of those great local places that is spot on every.single.time. I can't name a time that I've eaten there that I didn't come out satisfied. And if you've read any of my reviews, or know The Wife, you'll know how rare that is. I've probably had over half of their selections over the years and with only a couple of exceptions I've enjoyed them all. The one notable exception, and it's on me, not them, is the chicken and dumplings. They put peas in there. Who does that? The chicken fried steak is always solid, flavorful and well done. Their chicken and turkey dishes are a taste of the holidays, and their beans and cornbread are a welcome taste diversion. Their fired mushrooms and onion rings are each a thing of beauty and of you haven't had both for an appetizer, you're missing out. Lunchtimes will find the place pretty packed, and on Sundays, after church lets out, be prepared for a wait. At least you'll have time to gossip about who wasn't in church, and may a little about who WAS. Last night I had yet another wonderful experience at this establishment. My wife and I took her mother out for her birthday, and we wanted to take her to a place that was memorable. This review is solely based on my meal but I can tell you that there were no complaints at the table. The evening started out with Josh, our waiter getting our drink orders followed by dinner rolls the size of your head. These fresh and steaming hot rolls were amazing! The strawberry rhubarb jelly that they make took these rolls on the flavor train of delicious. Each bite was warm, creamy with the butter and sweet with a hint of tart with the jelly. A fair warning, try not to scarf up all of this amazing jewl, because it will fill some even before your main entree shows up. For my entree, I ordered the fresh water catfish with a side salad and green beans. All that I can say is WOW ! Being a retired USAF Vet, I have had catfish all over the world. This catfish was very close to, if not the best I have ever had. I am sure that you are now saying to yourself "sure Aaron, whatever" but I challenge you to try it and let me know. A great fried catfish should have an amazing corn meal crust that is seasoned, with the catfish as the star of the dish. This meal did this concept justice. When my plate arrived I was staring at two golden brown, very large, corn meal fried, catfish filets. The first thing that I noticed after that, was the SOUND of the crunch when I cut the filet in half. It was a beautiful sound, telling me that, this catfish had been fried to perfection . Inside this amazing crust was a piece of catfish that glistened with moisture. After the first bite, I was in love ! The amazing bite started of with a crunch of perfectly seasoned corn meal crust, followed by a gush of fresh tasting, moisture filled, catfish. This bite was expertly balanced. I thought to myself how could this get even better? At that time, I noticed a plastic cup of what I believed to be pickled onions. I took a piece of the veggie along with a bite of fish and a party went off in my mouth! To add to this amazing fresh catfish flavor, my taste buds were met with a sweet, pickle flavor with just enough texture to notice and just took that bite to another level! Unbeknownst to me the veggie was not pickled onions, but green tomato relish. After finding this out I was taken back a little because I despise tomatoes. However, after another bite of the Veg and the relish I ended up eating two cupfulls! The green beans that came with my meal were very good. They were buttery, seasoned perfectly with an amazing taste of the BACON ! Of course there needs to be BACON, this added another echelon of flavor to the already aromatic green beans. The side salad was crisp, iceberg lettuce with slices of carrots and cheese, not a highlight of the meal. However, it was chilled and crunched with every bite. So how do you finish off an amazing meal? With a slice of pie of course! The meal ended with a nice size slice of coconut cream pie. The pie was very creamy, and well balanced, but think that it could have used a little less whipped cream to allow for the coconut cream filling to be the star. I will be back and I will eat this meal again. This evening was very enjoyable and ended with the entire restaurant singing to my mother in law happy Birthday, live band included. I'm thrilled the restaurant has reopened with some of the original staff. Not disappointed at all with what we've ordered.

We used to love Shiloh's. Then the taste of the food changed and they eventually closed. They have recently reopened so we decided to try it again. When we got here there was a line, but all the tables were open. No staff to be seen. After about 5 minutes someone comes out to start seating people. We were seated and promptly given menus and had our drink order taken. Then our order was taken when our drinks were brought out. It didn't take long to get our food. We ordered a kids pancake breakfast that came with a pancake, choice of sausage or bacon, and a biscuit and gravy (a lot for a kid, but whatever), a two egg breakfast (eggs, potatoes, biscuit and gravy), and a cheeseburger with potatoes. The pancake was hard on one side and if you didn't have a knife to cut it with you could have used the bacon. The biscuit and gravy came out after we finished the meal. The biscuit on the two egg breakfast was extremely crunchy. The cheeseburger only had onion and pickles. No sauce of any kind or lettuce or tomatoes. All the food was barely warm. But the waitress was very friendly and did the best she could as she seemed to be the only one for the large herd of people that came to eat. I'd give them another chance. read more

I have been to Shiloh's several times now, so this is not based on one poor visit. One thing I can definitely say is consistent about Shiloh's is the not-so-great service. It usually takes a while to get seated (whether they are busy or not) and I ALWAYS think it takes way too long for someone to come take our order. I doesn't matter if there is a rush on or if the place is pretty empty, as it was on my last visit. Now, this is not to say that the service isn't friendly (it is!), but it does seem to take a looooong time for the server to come over every time I go in. They usually put an example of the specials on display up at the front, which is both nice, because you can see what those meals look like before ordering (the menu could really use more pictures), and not great because the dishes up there have usually been sitting all day and do NOT generally look appetizing. The food at this restaurant is just okay to me, in a very homemade kind of way. For instance, the chicken fried steak reminds me of the kind my mom might have made-- shallow-fried in a pan at probably too low of a temperature, so the breading absorbs too much oil and is not quite crispy, but is almost burned in a few spots. It isn't BAD by any means, but I've had much better other places. It also had a strange smell to it, but perhaps that was just me. Anyway, I was surprised that this was an "award-winning" dish. The cream gravy was quite good, though. I have also had the Chicken Fried Steak Sandwich here, which was just okay as well. Nothing to write home about. Same kind of disappointing steak with veggies on two slices of white sandwich bread. The meatloaf is pretty good-- it has onions and peppers in it and KETCHUP on top, which I think should be legislated as the ONLY appropriate way to cook and serve meatloaf. As far as side dishes: the fried cabbage was not very good-- a little bitter and very greasy, without any real seasoning. The corn was decent, but looked like it had been cooking alllll day. (Y'know how corn you see on a buffet or something can get a little... wrinkly? Like that.) The baked potato and french fries were fine, but the mashed potatoes seemed to be instant. They DO have Diet Dr. Pepper, which always earns bonus points as far as I am concerned. And those rolls are pretty great with the strawberry rhubarb jam (our baby had a spoonful or two of the jam, and LOVED it). But beware, you only get one of those rolls everyone is raving about. The rest of your meal will be disappointing. So all in all, I have to recommend you try somewhere else. Because, really... If you just want some really good rolls, go to Texas Roadhouse. read more

This is just straight up down home country cookin' at its finest. They start you out with these freaking yeast rolls that are each the size of a baby's head (or fist-sized if you prefer a less bizarre analogy). They come with whipped butter and some delicious rhubarb jelly. It's a great bit of foreshadowing for the giant sized meal ahead of you. I got the vegetable plate which was excellent (their sides are great). My coworkers got a variety if items from huge bowls if beans and chili, to some very tempting fried chicken to a chicken fried steak that was comically large. I mean shamefully large. I mean Competitive Eating Champs Joey "Jaws" Chestnut and Matt "Megatoad" Stonie would be like "ok, this is a little much". Service was very polite and confident which was nice. I didn't have dessert but their pie is allegedly something else. Even still, my productivity levels for the afternoon were nil. My sister introduced me to Shiloh's when they had the Tulsa store open. It was a cold wet winter day and the weather had put a gloom on everything. Deb said "I'm cold and that means Shiloh's" so we went. I would like to say that the rolls the size of a cat head that they brought out with their home-made strawberry-rhubarb jam was what sold me, or the menu that had a little bit of everything offered. It was the bean soup that made me a fan, fresh, hot and served in a bowl that was just a bit smaller than a number 8 washtub. We went back to work that day with warm tummy's and smiles on our faces!
