I recently…read moreneeded some work on it and called them but they indicated they no longer do work in Vancouver, but when I asked if there was anyone they would recommend, they said Simple Lawns. I had a problem with two leaks in the irrigation system. You could see water getting into the valve boxes when you turned on two of my zones. My suspicion was that the water pipes coming out from the valve to the irrigation tubing had broken when I had a contractor install a pumped sewer system last fall. The trench for the sewer pipe went across the water outlet pipes from the valve boxes. I called Simple Lawns to see if they could come work in fixing the leaks. They were able to schedule a visit by their irrigation expert within a few days. I paid a deposit which was for the service call to diagnose the problem and assess how much it would cost to fix. The employee came and looked it over and was able to fix it right away. He had it fixed within an hour or two. I was surprised it was possible to fix it so quickly, and he indicated the cost would probably be just the service call fee or a little more. The one slightly odd thing was I didn't get a email from the company to indicate the job was completed and that there were no additional charges. But the repairs were successful and they didn't send any additional bill, so I figured that was the situation. I was dreading trying to get those leaks fixed and I was amazed how quickly they fixed them and that it cost way less than I expected it would.

When I called for a quote, I was told, "yes, we can help you with that". I was told Michael, an estimator will be in contact within a week. No visit to the property, however, pictures were requested.????? He asked if we wanted regular lawn maintenance, which we declined. His response is that they can't do the leveling. Still no quote on the leveling and since we declined regular maintenance, they can't help us. Very misleading and a waste of everyone's time.

Initially I really loved working with Jones Landscaping. The office was courteous and…read moreprofessional. Brett came out to give us a bid on our backyard landscaping. He was awesome. We had just built a house and we didn't get the backyard landscaped by the builder, so we were starting from scratch. We had Jones do a natural retaining wall, sod, sprinkler system, gravel on the side of the house, they brought in river rock for drainage, playground bark, sub'ed out concrete work for a patio slab (which was just OK work, but we are fine with it, one of the lines is quite crooked and we spoke to Brett who stated they are no longer using that sub now), and they even planted 15 red cedars that I had purchased elsewhere. Our landscaping cost was in the double digit thousands. They did all the work in about four days. The workers were courteous and clean. Our backyard is simple, but usable, nothing fancy. We are mostly pleased with it, however, and this is where the 3 star review comes in. We need to have more drainage added because, like most people in these newer Ridgefield subdivisions we are dealing with poor drainage coming from our neighbor's house. We had also decided we would like to add drip lines to the cedars we had planted along our back wall, as well as to the plants in our front yard. I reached out to Jones to see about a quote for a french drain and the drip system. They were quite responsive in getting us in and having Brett come out for a quote, however the problem comes after this point. It took multiple emails and phone calls and five weeks later to get the quote, which once it came was only for the french drain and didn't include the drip system or some other items I had discussed with Brett while he was out here. I sent another email to ask about this and I have still not heard a response two weeks later. I understand that most landscaping companies are busy during this time as a lot of people are doing work in the time of Covid etc. (I even asked Brett while he was out here is this was too small of a job for them right now because I know everyone is slammed, he assured me it wasn't). I don't understand what we did to have this happen and I am quite frustrated. Unfortunately, I wouldn't, and since have not, recommend Jones Landscaping. I contacted another landscaper who promptly came out, got me a quote within four days, is half the price on the french drain that Jones quoted, and has us on the schedule for next month.
