Tyler Motos, a Beach Club employee, overheard me explaining the situation and immediately stepped in to help. He took it upon himself to search through an entire cart of dirty towels, as well as every towel bin around the adult pool, because I believed I had accidentally left my phone wrapped inside a towel. Despite simultaneously coordinating with other staff members over his walkie-talkie and helping prepare for an approaching storm, Tyler remained focused, calm, and determined. After 20-30 minutes of searching, he successfully found my phone buried in a pile of towels. Tyler's hard work, kindness, professionalism, ability to multitask, and dedication to helping a guest were truly remarkable. Employees like him make a lasting impression and are a tremendous asset to your team. Thank you, Tyler, for going above and beyond!

First issue was the pools which they claim is "heated" on the website and everywhere else, and if it is heated it's only to a frigid 72 degrees. The worst was when, without warning the bathroom sink started filing up with water when the faucet was off due to a pipe clog. Maintenance informed me it was likely due to a clog in the building from earlier. Water started overflowing onto the bathroom floor. I threw as many towels we had to stop it from flowing everywhere into the floor of the main room. No big deal, stuff happens, but I requested housekeeping come clean up the towels at 4:00pm and at 7:00pm still nothing had happened. Told multiple folks, maintenance and the front desk about the mess THEIR clogged pipes caused, and it still took a while for them to send anyone to fix THEIR problem. Insanely poor service-- I would not recommended this place.

I also don't think they shampooed the carpets since being built, there were stains on our room carpet & when I walked to together ice & came back to our room the bottom of my feet were black. Overall, the stay was okay, but the service and attention to detail were disappointing for a Hilton brand.

I called the Sea Palms resort (that is where the conference was held) and they were booked but referred me to their sister hotel, the Sea Palms Inn. They had a standard room available so I booked it. When I arrived, it was right in the middle of the island. It is a mile from the beach, about 3 miles from the Sea Palms Resort, about 2 miles from the village/pier, next door to Red Fern Village and the post office. The staff was very nice at check in. In fact after chatting with them a bit they upgraded my room to a corporate room. The difference is a bigger vanity, a large cabinet and a plasma TV. The room was nice, clean and comfortable. They have free wi-fi and a continental breakfast. I will definitely stay with them again if I am back on the island.
