Our family of seven rented a regular cabana so we would have shade. Larry our cabana attendant took great care of us, checking regularly to see if we needed anything. We had children ages 2, 5, and 7. There were many areas of the park that had activities for all ages. They loved the area with the castle and pirate slides. The lazy river was also a good size with no waterfalls to force you under. We had lunch in the cabana: chicken tenders, hot dogs, and a pulled pork sandwich. Everything was good. We saw many shaded areas outside of the cabanas as well. Overall we had a very enjoyable day. read more

We were in the water for ten minutes then we were kicked out so we asked for a refund they said no they gave us tickets to get in for free that expired at the end of the end of the season. We won't be coming back till next year . We paid 700 dollars for ten minutes of swim time we went into the wave pool they kicked us out of the pool before the waves came on they come on every 15 minutes we paid extra for a cabana we sat there for three hours waiting for them to allow us to go back in the water . Our waiter said that we could get a refund for our cabana the manager said we couldn't get one the food was ok at best it was insane would not go again read more

My daughter loved the new kid play area they opened last year, well it is now closed and boarded up. The entire place stinks of pee. Some kid threw up in a pool when we were there and all they did was scoop it out and throw in an chlorine tab in and let everyone back in within 5 minutes. Before we left this God awful place we wanted to get dippin dots, well guess what? They sold out before it was even 2:30 PM. Save yourself money and don't come here. You'd be better off driving to Destin and going to the water park there. read more

Our visit was amazing! The park and bathrooms were clean! You can bring water inside but no other food or drinks (just like any other facility) . The life guards and slide attendants were attentive but nice . We didn't have much food but we did get ice cream waffle cones (fresh made bowls) and funnel cakes ( you can add toppings no extra charge) they were amazing and cooked to perfection the waffle cone too! Shipwreck Island Waterpark located in Panama City Beach is a nice day adventure for both kids and adults. We had an amazing time sliding slides, splashing around, and floating the lazy river on a super hot July Saturday. Other than the water attractions we also had lunch at the water park which brought back memories of high school with the soybean burgers. While not the best food it was food and it was cooked fresh and served hot. We got some dipping dots later in the afternoon before we left which also brought back childhood memories. They also serve beer and mixed drinks at the waterpark, which may be a good date idea of floating down the lazy river with drinks when you don't have kids with you; actually saw several couples doing this. I was a bit jealous since I had my kid and was being "responsible". The only downsides are the price of admission is a little too high for my tastes and some patrons just throwing trash on the ground instead of throwing it in the trash can located 2 feet away. We are planning on going back in September before they close for the season and look forward to the park not being so crowded. read more

Kids had a great time at the park on the things that were still opened, Some of the attractions were closed. We rented a cabana that was supposed to come with service, the attendants were never anywhere to be found and we ended up having to go get our own food /drinks , etc. but, at the end of the day, we told them our concerns and they did refund the cabana fees. The pools, slides are kind of cool. The food...holy crap. Burgers are 14$ and are the worst I have literally ever had. The texture was sickening and Krystal burgers are better than this. Great way to beat the heat on a summer day in Florida! We really enjoyed our day at the water park! The kids had a blast exploring all the attractions and we found a lounge chair to call home base for the day! There are so many options for people of all ages, toddler zone, lazy river, thrill slides, and a wave pool kept everyone busy! The food was good and we recommend the refillable beverage cup! They have a water bottle filling station near the bath house so we were able to stay hydrated without buying bottled waters all day. The bath house was semi-clean, we recommend wearing shoes all the time when using the facilities! The park was laid out very well with plenty of things to keep you busy and fed for the entire day. You can't bring in any outside food or drink so be ready to spend about $15 for lunch. If we venture back to PCB we'd love to visit again! read more

This place was awful! We come to PCB and wanted to explore a water park we've heard tons about. We show up and 3 rides were open because of understaffing and lifeguard breaks. They're supposed to be open til mid September and have more than half of their rides closed in beginning of August. After we asked them to rotate their lifeguards to more popular rides they declined and kept lifeguards on the rides where no one was on. We asked for a refund and they said they could only give us a partial discount or a ticket to come back another day and we declined both. They eventually gave us a full discount because we left within the hour we showed up. Horrible park with no rides open. If you can't staff the park then don't make people pay ridiculous prices to sit in a chair and watch the mediocre wave pool. read more

This review is for the toddler area. We loved it! Water diapers are required and are offered for free if you forget yours. Saturday seemed to be packed so if you want a table with an umbrella or lounge chairs in the shade you should arrive when they first open. Otherwise Sunday had ample tables available or you can always purchase a locker to store your things. Water shoes and water cell phone covers are also sold if you forget yours- cell phone covers come with a strap so you can wear your phone around you in the water. There is one big toddler/child area split into three sections, there are numerous lifeguard literally everywhere and this water park is the cleanest I have ever been to. There are several little slides for kids to slide down and several sprinklers of water and one tunnel to swim through. The wave pool is awesome too, my toddler loved it, waves can be strong and knock the little ones down if they are not strong swimmers so I wouldn't let my child in the wave pool unsupervised. The lazy river is so relaxing for adults, toddlers and children alike, plenty of water tubes for everyone! The food is all good considering it is fast food, we had pizza, corn dogs, chicken fingers, French fries & of course -ice cream cones ! I would not recommend the shaved Italian watermelon flavored ice, in my opinion it was disgusting. We spent two days there and will be getting a season pass next summer for our visit! Don't forget to get wristbands so you don't have to carry your wallet on you- vendors just scan your wrist band when you purchase beverages & food. There is beer for sale and a designated smoking area for those who need a smoke. Bathrooms have changing tables. read more

My fiancé and I went and thoroughly enjoyed it! We were a bit hesitant going with it just being two adults. There shouldn't have been any hesitancy! If you're just adults going, then you'll definitely have a fun time! There are about 6-7 main water slides/rides that adults can go on. Plus you have the wave pool and lazy river. We spent all day there, from 11 am - 5 pm. We were never bored and enjoyed the lazy rivers multiple times to take breaks from the rides We split a pizza entree and fries and it was enough for us to fill us up. Ended the day with ice cream. Visited on Saturday in May. It's still considered before season. Looks like from our conversations prices for airline tickets, boat tours, hotels and so on go up in price at the beginning of June. There was conciderable amount of people. We arrived early so we picked a good table with umbrella where we put all our belongings. In a mean time people who arrived little later was not able to find an empty table. Most likely all local people buy season pusses for $99 Buy for us veing able yo visit it only once ut didn't make sence. We bought regular priced tickets for adults its $34.99 per person. We was not able to find any deal on Groupon or anywhere else but looks like coupons do exist because cashier asked us if we have any coupons. Our 2 and a half yesrs old girl got there at no charge. It's not rated by age. It's rated by hight. Anyone below 36" gets there at no charge. Park is good quality. It's little older park but you don't really fill it. It's not the biggest by size and this is down side but in PCB is not that many options for water parks :) Overall Outside doesn't look as a lot and parking across the road 3.5 out of 5 Inside little outdated but not bed at all 4 out of 5 Slides limited but good quality. Planty for family with small kids. 4 out of 5 Food options very limited. There is no restaurants as we know it. For adults with your meal option you can also by alcohol if you want to. You can get Chicken fingers Hamburger Pulled pork burger Hot dog Salad French fries Combo cost $9.25+ Tax And some snacks including icecream and so on. We had no line at admission and small to no lines throughout the day. - Price seemed reasonable based on the amount to do. - Staff was friendly and helpful. The lifeguard Staff was attentive and created a safe feeling atmosphere. Cons - River rapids ride didn't seem well designed. It was the only time I didn't feel safe. We had a great day here with our 2.5 year old. The lazy river was great- cooling. The while place was very clean. The staff was helpful, helping me get up out of inner-tubes or holding my toddler when I passed him to them, as I got my footing. Nice that they had chicken ceasar salad wraps as a food option. It was delicious. They offer swim diapers complimentary, just ask at the souvenir shop. They said "Of course, because it is a necessity." That's a great way to think of it! The property is showing it's age, and we noticed quite a few maintenance issues. Overall tho it is a fun place to spend a day. Most slides/rides are suitable for the whole family. Would love to see the Raging Rapids updated. It's kind of lame that one gets stuck in a whirlpool around ever corner and I feel for the poor life guards whose only job it is to get the floats to move along. read more

The absolutely best place to take your family in PCB for the summer. It's my #1 favorite place to hang out with my son. The season pass is well worth it, $99 for unlimited visits. Plus the card gets you discounts on food and merchandise within. You can put money on the card at the beginning of the season and use it to pay instead of carrying your wallet around. In addition, as a perk of being a season pass holder, the park will offer random "Bring A Friend Days" where each pass holder can bring one person at only 16.95 entrance fee. Watch their Facebook for Bring A Friend dates. There is a wide variety of food available to eat, at reasonable prices. The staff is the nicest ever. Like this is the best customer service I've ever experienced. Good lockers, restrooms and locker rooms. There is something for the whole family, from the tiniest of tots to the parent or grandparent that just wants to catch some sun. Plenty of shade as well. Alcohol available. I've been coming to panama city my whole life but this was my first time at shipwreck island. It was fun for the whole family. There are lifeguards ALL OVER so safety should never be a concern. When we got to the park I asked a young lady about a float for my daughter, she told me not to move and promptly delivered a life jacket for us. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and all workers, mostly young, were tuned in to whatever job they were tasked with. Family of 4, from 36 down to 5 and we all had a blast. We figured we would ask to leave for lunch assuming the prices were going to be amusement park high but I doubt we could have gone to a fast food place for any cheaper. We will come here anytime we are in panama city, the only thing I suggest is wear those beach shoes or pool shoes I don't know what they are called but we will get some next time. read more
