Pros: Really great location. Right in the middle of greater Orlando. Convenient to get to. And the ambiance inside was so cool. Tons of items to browse while you're waiting for your food. Service was great. The menu is kind of confusing, so having someone really walk us through it was very helpful. The food itself was wonderful. I think it might be the best Middle Eastern food in Orlando. There is some other stiff competition, but I just think so. Cons: The menu is just a little confusing, so don't be afraid to engage the staff and ask questions. They have a massive platter full of meat and rice, but I think there could be more sides than just rice involved. Tips: All the kebabs were delicious. You can't go wrong choosing any of them.

We have a process that is basically a random number generator to pick new restaurants to try out. This time, I hit the jackpot. I had heard of the Shiraz Market for a long time. Even Andrew Zimmern has talked about this place. So we show up, place an order for takeout, buy some bonus Dubai chocolate, and get out. Ambiance is awesome. As a person interested in trying everything from every culture, it was very easy to kill time browsing the market while my food was being prepared. We were getting ready for a movie night, so we also got like four new beverages to try that we've never had before. Very fun. Service was awesome. Very friendly folks, very prompt service time for the food, just overall a very pleasant experience. The food was absolutely banging. Best Middle Eastern food I've had in all of Orlando. We started off with an order of falafel. Very crispy little fritters with a not-too-dry interior that provides a pleasant chew. Served with a delicious, smooth, tahini dipping sauce. Really good. For the main event, we got a big platter of kebabs. Chicken and lamb, some normal chunks and a couple of kefta style. Served over a giant platter of rice, some slightly pickled onions, and a nicely charred tomato. The meat was very delicious. Nicely charred, super moist and juicy, cut into nice, bite-sized chunks. Seasoned to perfection. No bland chicken here. Rice was well cooked and very fragrant. The fresh veg on the platter helped add a nice pop to everything. Very very good stuff. We also got a couple of desserts. Not sure what they were called, but they seemed to be combinations of phyllo, honey, pistachio, organized in different manners. Very delicious. I loved them. I wanted to try the whole dessert cabinet. Anyway, overall, this was a five star experience easy. I will be back very soon to try some more delicious food, and I recommend you come, too.

While Checking out a Mediterranean grocery store that has a grill...Food was hit or miss, desserts were fire, and the market itself is worth browsing. Just don't go in expecting amazing Food: ***falafel platter *** loved the warm, fresh bread and solid falafel. But... hummus was way too lime-y, tabbouleh was dry and flavorless, and tahini was super salty. ***gyro lamb*** was a miss rubbery and not enjoyable, though the tzatziki sauce was good. ***Dessert***saved the day! the baklava was amazing not too sweet, super nutty. Ended up buying more!. Also tried a prepackaged Dubai chocolate from the deli delicious surprise! Vibes: Quiet, small grocery vibe with a few tables to eat at. The market side was awesome. Well-stocked with a great variety of Arab snacks and goods. I definitely stocked up Service: Not the best. I Understand is not a restaurant but the girl at the counter messed up our order and wasn't very friendly, didnt even acknowledge the wrong order when we told her. it wasn't busy either... Left a bit of a sour taste.

How haven't I been here sooner? This is a wonderful market and deli/counter service Mediterranean restaurant with a small amount of seating. I went in for lunch on a Monday to find it quite busy, but everything moved quickly. You place your order at the counter and then you can shop while you wait, paying for everything including deli/hot food once it is ready. I tried the New York platter which is a combination of shaved chicken breast over rice, topped with white sauce (they also have a spicy sauce option), alongside a fresh mixed salad, hummus, and warm lavash bread. Everything was fresh and delicious. I especially loved the hummus. Thank you Shiraz Market for a lovely lunch. I will be back for more meals and groceries soon.

Mediterranean restaurant and market combo. We ordered falafel wraps, a drink and baklava. The falafel was generous and fresh. The baklava was sweet but not so much so that you would leave half of it. There are approximately six tables where you can sit while enjoying your food.

a married man to a Persian woman this is the best food the culture provides in Orlando, FL. It was such a pleasure walking around their local shopping mart and seeing all the amazing food. The staff was very helpful and provided great alternatives to dishes we discussed. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for pure authentic Persian food! They also make dishes in house and prepare for pickup order just call or visit their site!

So happy to discover this place! We ordered one of the platters and it was more than enough between three of us. Very inviting atmosphere and lovely staff so you'll love dining in! Also found a lot of things in the store we needed. Highly recommend!

Falafel Sandwich with fries and drink (not pictured)

My colleague and I both enjoy Mediterranean food and I suggested Shiraz Market after checking Yelp for nearby fast casual places with good reviews. Looking for a vegetarian option, I ordered the falafel sandwich with fries and a drink and agreed to spicy tzatziki sauce when asked by the owner, who took our orders and was friendly and helpful. The sandwich was loaded with fresh falafels that boasted a lightly fried exterior and a very moist and rightly spiced interior. You've probably experienced the crunchy and or dry falafels that makes you wonder what you'll get at a the next place you're trying out. No fear here. Enough sauce and green lettuce and red onions in the wrap. Let me tell you about the wrap: fresh in-house made naan bread! All of these ingredients combine to make this an all-around satisfying sandwich. The fries were solid and plentiful. Two small containers of ketchup are included. So good was the sandwich that I returned two days later to buy an falafel sandwich for my colleague who flew in from out of town and for me. This time while I waited, I strolled through the store and found unique (to me) canned and bottled food and candy items. (The grilled olives with garlic looked interesting to me.) I'm glad to have found such a good Mediterranean option in the area and look forward to the next falafel sandwich! Misc.: Seating is counter only up front. Location is a store front and can be accessed off of 434 and also by 17/92.

So glad we did. The concept is very Chipotle-style, but for Greek food. You walk down the line and build your meal exactly how you want it: * Choose a base (pita, greens, fries, or rice) * Pick your protein (I went with the traditional gyro; my husband chose the honey balsamic chicken -- and WOW. It was so good I'm ordering that next time.) * Add toppings * Scoop on hummus and feta dips * Finish with sauces Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. My gyro had that classic savory richness you expect, but the honey balsamic chicken completely stole the show -- tender with a sweet-tangy depth that balanced beautifully with the toppings. The space is casual with simple metal seating inside and outside. No table service -- you order at the line and seat yourself -- which makes it easy for a relaxed dinner. The staff was especially helpful when we mentioned it was our first time, patiently walking us through options without rushing us. Our total was $40.49 for two people, which felt very reasonable for the portion sizes and quality. We left full and genuinely impressed. They do offer dessert options, but we were too stuffed to try them this round. Fresh, flavorful, customizable, and officially added to our rotation. We'll definitely be back!

I decided on a sparkling rose flavored water for my drink (6 dollars since it was non alcoholic). It was floral and refreshing, with the bubbles as expected. For my entree, I did the chicken Aegean with rice and spinach (20 dollars + 3 upcharge for spinach). The dish reminded me of chicken Parmesan as it looked breaded and had a good amount of cheese. There was quite a bit of tomato sauce in the bottom as well. It was nicely portioned and quite enjoyable. The rice and spinach tasted Mediterranean with the herbs and spices used, which I really enjoyed. I saved some home to enjoy later. I skipped dessert as it was getting late. The service was quick and prompt. I decided to rush a bit since it was getting close to closing time and I didn't want to hold them up. The dining area looked charming, and I think there was outdoor seating with view of the park and fountain. Greek music was played in the background. Krazy Greek is a very nice restaurant near the 5th Street area. It's pretty affordable and their mocktail was good too. Parking was easy as I came a bit late, but it can get crowded if you go during busy hours. It is definitely worth a visit for great Greek food in the Lake Mary area. Overall: A-

The dining space is spacious, well laid out, and has a refined, almost posh feel to it. With the Persian artwork, pictures, and wall hangings, it genuinely feels like you're dining in a traditional Persian restaurant rather than a casual strip-mall spot. Parking is never an issue, as the complex offers ample space, which is always a plus when dining out. The service was good--attentive and courteous--but the real talking point here is the food. We tried the chicken shish and the koobideh, and both were excellent. The meats were well seasoned, perfectly cooked, and impressively succulent. The saffron rice deserves a special mention as well--flavorful, aromatic, and importantly, not dry, which can often be the case elsewhere. We also ordered the falafels, which were quite filling and satisfying, making for a great accompaniment to the mains. If there's one suggestion for improvement, it would be to include some house-made breads, which are something many of us are accustomed to at Middle Eastern restaurants and would elevate the experience even further. That said, this was a very nice dining experience overall, and the pricing felt fair for the quality and portion sizes. Definitely a place worth revisiting, and we'll be back again.
