Between our group we had the curried chicken salad, the wafflini, the monte cristo and the croissant sandwich. Everyone was thrilled. The coffee was good. Shirlee Bird is a teeny tiny cafe but it packs a punch! Beautiful pastries and baked goods (and sometimes you can purchase day old if there are any left ). Shirlee offers to steam your milk (so as not to put cold cream in your hot coffee on a chilly day). Nice! Mugs are served warm (not cold) so walking into Shirlee's is instant coziness! We will have to come back with empty stomachs as the menu looks amazing and so are the smells!!! read more

Shirlee Bird Cafe is an adorable, quaint spot in the heart of the historic Fairborn. If you get the chance to visit Bellingham, Shirlee and her cafe is a must. I was greeted warmly by Shirlee herself and enjoyed our conversation. The most enjoyable cafe experiences are ones in which you feel like a regular on your first visit. Shirlee offered several suggestions but in the end I went with her lavender-infused cold brew with coconut milk (unsweetened). This was perfectly satisfying as if offered the perfect hint of lavender. Although the day was cold and I most definitely should have chosen a warm drink I could not have been more satisfied with my cold brew. I had 20 minutes to waste while waiting for an appointment in the Fairhaven area. I'm so glad I stumbled into this place! They have a wonderful assortment of savory and sweet pastries and the young lady running the place was welcoming and kind. There are a few seats in the café, but plenty of seating in the old Sycamore Square building. Okay, I've been to Shirlee Bird Café a few times now, and it's official: I adore this place. The owner is genuinely warm, welcoming, and very patient and helpful if there are any questions about the menu. My friend had a minor issue once with a coffee and the employee who served us; Shirlee went above and beyond to make it right. All the pastries I've had have been excellent; the coffee drinks are likewise. Last time I was in, I got the kombucha drink and loved it. Shirlee Bird is a great spot to drop in to for a light meal or coffee and dessert. read more

I sat in the shirleebird for too many hours in a phone meeting drinking delicious coffee and eating a breakfast burrito. Shirlee was an amazing host. She was so positive, welcoming and happy. I love the vibe she has created, it made working in her coffee shop a very pleasant experience. I jumped around to sit outside and then work inside at the counters. Simply awesome! My wife and I had a uniquely different breakfast burrito with havarti cheese. Would not have been my normal first choice, but I will be using it on my own breakfast burritos in the future. As for the pastries, OMG. We had a lemon something and a cherry something else(sorry no idea what they were called), but they were delicious. Furthermore, The Decour of the shared dining area was unbelievable. Exquisite woodwork that reminded me of the lodge at old faithful in Yellowstone. The building was from the 1890s and they were a lot of fun things to read about when you were done eating. One last thing the owner was incredibly nice and would probably give you flyfishing tips if you asked for them read more

I love this place! Everything is so tasty, from handmade pastries to paninis. Typically this cozy little cafe is a one woman show. Whoever is working takes orders, makes coffees, cooks paninis, and does their best to make you feel at home. It's a marvel of multitasking! Shirlee herself always impresses me with her friendliness and go-with-the-flow attitude. It may take a moment for your food to be ready, but I think that's fair considering they've only got 2 panini presses to work with! I promise it's worth your time.
