Butter pecan and cappaccino crunch but no sprinkles. Because the owner didn't want to sweep the floor.

Good ice cream. Good sundaes. Good shakes. Just missing sprinkles on the cones. Owner doesn't allow.

The large size of a chocolate chip cookie dough....so tiny.

We stopped while exploring the Cumberland county Ice Cream trail, so you know we've been trying a lot of ice cream. The place has a cool vibe with funny jokes on a chalkboard wall and kites on the ceiling. Pretty twinkling lights greet you. You could tell it did a good business based on the people walking from nearby apartments to get a scoop. Customer service was ok. They have no mask requirement and no safety protocols in play for Covid. They have a Starbucks feel with a pick up point for your ice cream but they didn't really tell you it was yours. You had to kinda assume in some cases. So if it's your first time, it's a bit annoying. My partner in crime liked his malt shake. My other partner thought her junior scoop was tiny...like too tiny. For a kid size it was overpriced. She got peanut butter cup and there was only one chunk of peanut butter. I got the large size. For a similar price you can get way more at a Meadows or Leo's or Massey's or Penn State Creamery. The cookie dough was lacking dough and the cone had the bottom busted off leaking all over me. Final vote...cool vibe, ok ice cream, but the price was high.

One of my favorite ice cream spots! The place is always immaculately clean, everyone is so friendly and they have a good variety of delicious flavors with super reasonable prices. They have plenty of seating inside and outside and they have a fun wall mural. I would definitely recommend!

The place is great. Good ol' fashion ice cream joint with a refreshing and down-to-earth vibe. Pretty clean and service is good. Highly recommend the cappuccino crunch ice cream

Stopped in here after dinner for some ice cream with the family. The staff was friendly and helpful. There were plenty of good flavors to choose from. The portions were a little small, but sufficient.

This place was delicious. The staff was quite friendly, the prices were incredibly reasonable, and the ice cream was delicious. It looks like they have sandwiches now also. We went with two Sundaes and some home brewed root beer. Delicious!

This newly opened business has quickly become my favorite ice cream in the area! It's quality stuff--nice and fresh and creamy! They give you a nice big scoop! I love that they make their own waffle cones, bowls, and tacos and have lots of toppings to choose from. And they have the most delicious, soft, fresh baked chocolate chip cookies for sammies! Sometimes I go for lunch/dinner too--they have lots of sandwiches and salads to choose from. Don't leave without trying a local cream soda!

When Candy Mountain Creamery announced they'd be opening at 7am for build-your-own waffle ice cream sundaes, I felt personally called to action. Because if you're not celebrating extremely niche food holidays with reckless enthusiasm, what are you even doing? Also working in my favor: I had recently signed up for the Cumberland Valley Coffee & Chocolate Trail, and realized Candy Mountain Creamery was a participating stop. Two birds. One waffle-shaped destiny. Alarm set for 5:45am on a Saturday. Commitment level: alarming. At 7:52am, with temperatures hovering around 15° and wind chills that felt emotionally aggressive, I walked into the shop smiling like a person who makes excellent life decisions. Parking was easy thanks to their strip mall location -- always a win when you're battling winter just to eat dessert for breakfast. I fully expected chaos. Lines. Fellow sugar enthusiasts wrapped in blankets waiting for their moment. Instead? I was the only one there. The universe clearly said, "This is your main character moment." The staff were warm, friendly, and somehow just as excited about ice cream as I was. They told me to pick three flavors and they'd take it from there. My pre-caffeine brain selected: Cherry Cordial, Banana Nut Bread, and Maple -- which in hindsight sounds like the ice cream equivalent of chaotic good energy. While they prepared my masterpiece, I completed my Coffee & Chocolate Trail check-in and used a coupon for a free medium latte, because nothing pairs with ice cream breakfast like financial efficiency. Moments later, they handed me a golden waffle piled high with three enormous scoops and pointed me toward the toppings bar AND a roaring gas fireplace. I nearly ascended. The toppings bar had everything -- Reese's Pieces, whipped cream, strawberry topping, caramel, peanuts -- and I exercised exactly zero restraint. Reese's Pieces? Yes. Peanut butter drizzle? Obviously. Whipped cream? Don't insult me. Then I settled into a cozy chair by the fireplace and proceeded to absolutely demolish this breakfast like a person with no regrets and excellent priorities. The ice cream itself was fantastic -- creamy, flavorful, and distinct enough that each scoop held its own despite my slightly unhinged flavor combo. The latte was piping hot and perfect for balancing out the sugar-fueled chaos. Honestly, aside from the waffle sundae itself, the fireplace deserves its own Yelp listing. I expected to be freezing while eating ice cream before sunrise -- instead I was warm, cozy, and deeply at peace with my life choices. A few other brave souls eventually wandered in, which reassured me that I am not the only person willing to eat ice cream at breakfast in sub-freezing temperatures. Huge thanks to Candy Mountain Creamery for being one of the only local spots open early enough to support my commitment to food-based holidays, for having incredibly friendly staff, a fantastic latte, and a warm space that turned a cold winter morning into something genuinely memorable!

We stopped by after lunch and some errands. I didn't even know this was here in this little strip of shops. It looks very bland on the outside but inside there are two sections. The first is a modern and clean area where you order your items. The second is a charming farm-vibe area that is warm and inviting. We tried several flavors of the ice cream and ended up with Bunny Eggs (has Cadbury egg pieces inside), Lemon Cookie (has lemon Oreo pieces), Blueberry with lemon cake (blueberry with chunks of lemon cake mixed in), and Heath bar (lots of small pieces of Heath bar candy). Every one of them was excellent. Smooth, creamy, not too sweet, lots of flavor, and the unique flavor was highlighted. I may forever eat lemon Oreos with my vanilla ice cream after that experience. They had lots of great flavors including unique options. I can't speak for the coffee or other items, but the ice cream is a major win. Under $6 for two scoops. Under $5 for one scoop. We had our ice cream in cups, but they have cones including a GF option. I will 100% come here again and again and again. Definitely worth the trip to Dillsburg for this ice cream. Place was spotless. Bathrooms were clean. The person serving was very helpful and answered all of our newbie questions while allowing us to sample a few before making our selections. I can see this being incredibly busy in the warm weather months.

Kristy's Whistle Stop is a time machine with sprinkles on top…read more The last time I was here? Well...let's just say it was before AOL, dial-up modems, and ICQ chat rooms. Before "the internet" was even a thing for regular folks. Basically, I hadn't been back since dinosaurs roamed the earth (aka 30-ish years ago). And honestly? Not much has changed--and that's exactly what makes it perfect. Picture this: 50's-style décor, a pavilion full of those old-school round concrete tables, and a line of ice cream lovers spilling out the door and halfway into the parking lot. I showed up on the Friday of Labor Day weekend and sure enough--limited parking, crowds everywhere, and people walking around holding ice cream creations so glorious they could've been centerpieces at a wedding. After standing in line (and mentally preparing for glory), I found my holy grail: The Stinson Special. Peanut butter ice cream loaded with Reese's Puffs, Reese's Pieces, peanut butter cups, and a peanut butter swirl. Basically, peanut butter on peanut butter on PEANUT BUTTER. No way was I risking this masterpiece in a cone--two scoops in a bowl, please and thank you. A few minutes later, I heard the call: "STINSON SPECIAL--TWO SCOOPS!" That was my moment. I grabbed my prize, slid into a concrete table under the pavilion, and...oh. my. goodness. It was orgasmic. Every single bite was a peanut butter explosion with different textures and crunches--smooth, swirly, chocolatey, crunchy perfection. Halfway through I had to take an intermission to gather strength before diving back in. Worth every bite. Next time, I'm hunting down the pulled pork sandwich I haven't had since the 90s--if it's even half as good as I remember, I'll be in foodie heaven all over again. Pro tips: - Get there early. - Expect a line (and enjoy the people-watching). - Have a game plan for where you're eating, because the inside is way too crowded for a proper foodgasm. Kristy's Whistle Stop is still doing its thing after all these years...and its thing is absolutely worth the trip.

Which is the smaller version to their big cheesesteak and comes with fries and a drink. Not bad at all in my opinion. But don't get fooled, it's a decent size and filled me up! I ordered mine with sharp provolone, onions and wiz. But you can add a lot more toppings for an up charge. The bread was soft and fresh, what I love most was that sharp provolone. It was delicious and the wiz just took it to another level. It was absolutely delicious. Their fries are nicely seasoned with salt , which is also good. You could tell they have a lot of regulars , as I sat there I saw many groups come in and out for their steak sandwiches. Definitely a good spot. It has a decent amount of tables to sit at.

Philly sports photos and memorabilia all over the walls. All the staff I interacted with were extremely nice and helpful. I decided to get the Little Philly Special which comes with a 6 inch cheesesteak, fries and a drink. I went with the cheese fries because that's just what you do. From the hoagie roll bags I saw it looks like they get the rolls shipped in from Philadelphia which is the only way to go. My only complaint besides the awful decor j/k is the whiz was runner then most cheesesteak places so dipping the fries made an unbelievable mess. Everything tasted phenomenal though. From what I saw while eating my lunch is that their hoagies are just as popular here.
