So, my husband and I decided to share a Philly Cheesesteak from this place, it was like a gyro and a Philly had a baby, and wow it was good! We supersized it since we were sharing, but holy moly it was immense in size, we could have done the regular size. The meat was delicious, the sauce was good, yummy veg, and the bread I think had been buttered and then grilled before serving. Seriously a delicious sandwich. Is it a true Philly cheesesteak? No. Am I sad? No. Loved it, would get it again. This was an epic gyro cheesesteak. I'm not sure it is supposed to be, but it should be on purpose. The flavors of a grill that cooks gyro all day, add provolone, bell peppers and a friend. They make the best dolmas, their hummus and falafel are excellent, the owner is very invested in making connections with his customers and providing great quality food. A lot of people burn out on a food after a while, but I feel like the quality of this cart has continued to sustain and even improve over time. Best chicken gyro I've had! One of my biggest complaints with chicken gyros is the meat usually tends to be on the dryer side. Not this gyro! The chicken was cooked perfectly. Quick take: Really good late night snack This was our last night in Portland. We were just wondering through the downtown streets late at night. Saw the lights on at Shish Kabab. Stopped by and had a really great convo with the guy behind the counter. We ordered a beef gyro and a generous side of curly fries. The food was so good. More than we can both eat. Yeah... unfortunately won't be trying this place out again. The wife and I have been quarantined and have needed to order a bit of delivery. I had a craving for humus so decided to give this place a shot. I can't rightfully comment on the taste of the food since our sense of taste is effected by the loss of smell, however I CAN comment on the curly black hair that was in our side salad and the piece of plastic that was wedged inside a cooked falafel. After flying into Portland, my friend took me to some food carts to get a bite to eat before heading home. She claimed that this cart was the best gyro carts. Only one guy working at the time, but a handful of people to serve so it took a while to get our orders. You can tell that he took care to prepare it well and package it thoughtfully (to avoid a delicious mess). I ordered the Super Lamb Gyro while my friend got the Chicken Gyro. Came here on a Thursday afternoon. We got the lamb over rice (missing our halal guys in NYC). It came with taziki sauce and hummus. I wish we got some pita break for the sides. There was a little bit of white rice on top of yellow rice.. the rice was good. The meat was really good.. juicy and had some char on it. They used two sauces. The red sauce was good.. I didn't think it was too spicy.. but I do wish I had a little more of both sauces. We also ordered the curly fries.. perfectly made! Soft but also crispy! We love this shish kebab food cart. Everything on the menu is tasty and they include chopped salad greens with a bit of pickled veggies in a yogurt sauce with almost everything. We have tried about half the menu so far and are going to come back until we try everything and then start over again. The lamb was amazing, so tender and tasty. Was passing by this food cart and the owner stands out more than the others by making humor comments to get people to try their food but it worked and I tried their sample. 10 minutes later we returned and ended up getting their delicious #11 order, Lamb burrito. The lamb was very tinder and the white sauce is what makes it so tasteful. We got a side of hot sauce and that gave it a kick. I don't like spicy food but putting a dab of hot sauce gave it more of a flavorful taste. Be mindful that this burrito is very long. It's enough to share for 2 people. read more

We came upon this one place accidentally when walking by some food pods. All the places were giving samples and we were a hungry group of 7 girls. We decided to go with the pods so everyone could find something they would be happy with. After sampling the lamb from three different pods this was hands down the winner. I was between the #1 or #11 but ended up going with 11 because it comes more like a burrito and would be less messy and easier to eat with my gloves. All 7 of us ended up eating here and were very happy. The food, the service, everything was great other then the fact that there was no place to sit and be warm. We ended up walking to target and eating at the tables inside the Starbucks. If you go with #1 go with the super option, the cheaper option is store bought lamb while the super and #11 are their own lamb they make and give samples of. read more

When he found out my friend and I were splitting a meal he got a little upset and told his chef in the back to take out some meat because we won't know the difference.
