He feeds you like you are his grandchild, sooo much food for what you pay for, takes his time, really sweet. Definitely worth it . A kabob cart that stands out from the many generic ones in town. Persian style kebab wraps/plates. Prices are very reasonable for the size you get. The wraps are like a foot long. The ground chicken kabob has a good spice mix to add flavor. The skewers are pretty good sized. A double skewer will get you fed. I also tried the lamb cube kabobs. It was good but, not the best protein option. The cubes were large and weren't separated well which made me almost choke while eating it since the lamb was on the chewier side. One of the things I crave the most in the city of Portland. I cannot express in words how much I love this place + how kind the man who owns it is. I will say... I think they have changed the recipe from when I first had it and I liked it more before BUT it's still amazing. Mmmmmm so amazingly delicious!! I've been wanting to try this food truck for such a long time and I finally decided to drive over the bridge to Portland to taste this yummy goodness. I'm so happy I did because this surpassed my expectations. Literally the best Persian kebab place in Oregon. I've been to many Persian restaurants before in Oregon and none were as good this place! Staff/owner is super kind and goes out of his way to make sure you receive the best quality food. The portion are large and the food is so delicious and filling. This is the best, authentic Persian food place you can find here. Great value for money. The chicken joojeh kebab was so juicy and fresh and the lamb koubideh was also super tasty and well seasoned. The texture was a tiny bit hard and chewy but I'm not sure if it was because we ate our food 15 mins after we got it because we had to drive somewhere to park. Overall, an amazing experience. Excellent Persian food, it's rare to find any Persian place actually run by Persians, most imitate it and give low quality food. Persian Kebab is 100% authentic and very delicious. Their staff is also very courteous. I planned to order an extra kebab for my Jujeh Kebab and the owner showed me the kebab and advised me that he thought it might be too much food, which I thought was very nice of him to consider my health. Who does that nowadays? Most people just care about money. Prices are also very good considering the amount you get. I would say they are the best Persian food you will get in the local area. My favorite is always Koobideh and Jujeh kebab with bbq tomatoes and onions. It's heavenly. Me and my wife come here as our regular Persian food restaurant. read more

Just became aware of this food cart which is located close to PSU in SW Portland. The menu, complete with pictures and descriptions is clearly listed on the wall outside. prices are VERY reasonable and the service is friendly and very welcoming. We tried the Chicken Sultani on Rice and the Joojeh Kabab on Salad. The food was made to order, so a bit of wait time was required... the food is well worth the wait, however. The Koubideh Kabab (one of the skewers on the Chicken Sultani) was delicious and full of flavor. The Chicken Kabob pieces (other skewer of the Chicken Sultani) were tender and tasted great with the hint of Saffron flavor. The basmati rice was done to perfection and not sticky at all. Both orders were served with a small side of tomato/cucumber salad and a side of yogurt /cucumber sauce with a hint of dried mint. Yum! Overall I recommend Persian Kabob based on this experience... Persian is one of my favorite cuisines. For years, it sort of got lost with Mediterranean in Portland, but now there's at least two specialty carts. Service took longer than at other carts, the guy was nice though. I opted for a simple Koobideh over rice, it came with rice, tomatoes, and a sauce. There's options on the menu that are good value and others with high price points. As some know, Persian rice is in itself a delicacy and when made properly it's the focus of the dish, rather than a side. Here, it was just okay. I'd go back to sample more of the menu. As the number of food carts dwindle as parking spaces gets bought out for another development frenzy, the Persian Kabab caught my eyes. The gyro middle eastern favorites are a common sight, but ones specializing in Persian kabab? Not many. Owner was friendly and easy to ask questions, he even let me try a sample of lamb stew worth walnuts special - which sealed the deal. I got one for $9 and it came with salad as well as a small portion of dessert yogurt to try. Very generous! Easy access as one of multitude of carts near PSU and fast service as it took maybe a minute after placing my order. It takes me 15 minutes to come over, but worth the trek as most central carts had to relocate and not many unique carts remain. read more

This is the best Persian koobideh I ever had. Yes, I am from California, we have a good amount of good Persian restaurants over there, and I have been to everywhere from fancy to hole in the wall style restaurants. But this place stands out to be the best to me. And every time I come to Portland for work I always have to eat here, at least twice a week. The owner is very nice, he did mention that he always takes time on making his food, that makes sure the food always taste good.
