The bang bang chicken is some of the best chicken I've ever had! We got the pork gyoza, bang bang chicken rice, and the beef bao buns. The gyoza and bang bang chicken were delicious. I wasn't the biggest fan of the beef bao buns as it was more like a bbq beef and I was expecting something closer to bulgogi but the bun was good to perfection and my boyfriend loved the beef. Shiso crispy is the shit. One of the best food trucks in the area hands down. Consistently good. Always hot and very generous portions. Such a unique and delicious take on Asian food. Dumplings are cooked to perfection and the bao buns are bursting with flavor. My go to is the bang bang chicken which is enough for two meals and is so good. There is usually only one lady working in the food truck on 19 so it isn't tue quickest but they are very friendly and truly grind to get it done fast for you and even if the wait is long it is worth it. read more

I have really been looking forward to trying Shiso Crispy, and I really hate to give a small business a mediocre review, but they left much to be desired. I was the only customer there on a Saturday around 4:30pm. They were out of multiple types of dumplings, which to me screams poor planning because they were not busy at all and had been open since noon. The lobster rangoons were ok but were 95% cream cheese. The bang bang chicken dirty rice sure looked pretty and overall was pretty good. They did not however include the fried onions on it as the menu described. Overall, for $28 (including tip) I would expect a lot more quality and/or food than what I received. It was the equivalent to spending $10-15 on Chinese takeout that just looked a little prettier. read more

We ordered the bang bang chicken with dirty rice and the short rib with dirty rice. The chicken meal was ok, chicken was crispy and a little on the sweet side but not terrible. The short rib however was hard to eat- it was sticky and sickeningly sweet. I couldn't even eat 1/4th of it because it was so sweet. The rice in both dishes was mushy and not enjoyable. You could tell the chicken had be fried again and again to heat up and use like it had been cooked a few days before, very dry as well. The "dirty" rice wasn't dirty at all, simply white rice underneath all of the sauce. My friend and I both got the bang bang chicken and were sick after eating it, not sure if the chicken was bad or maybe the sauce but it was not good. Covered in sauce where you couldn't taste any seasoning on the chicken (if there even was any) that was not sweet or savory, quite bitter sauce. The filling was delightful and had some kind of Sudo cream cheese that I'm not entirely sure of what it was but it was really good. The BBQ pork bao were great and I really enjoyed the flavor, cabbage slaw and scallions. The bun itself was light and fluffy which is impressive and I like that they had bao since it's surprisingly hard to find at restaurants. Great take on Asian street food. My friend who frequents Flying Boat has been raving about this place, and I finally had the chance to try this food truck outside of Dog Bar. Extremely disappointed. Menu looked AMAZING and when i got my food i thought it was a joke. The "pork" bao buns are stuffed with what I am absolutely sure was that "jack daniel's ready to eat pulled pork" that is DROWNED in bbq sauce. It was more like a sloppy joe. The buns where cold and looked like they had just been defrosted. When it came to try the Gyoza it had a beautiful presentation and one bite into it - also frozen. Sorry to say this guys, but in my experience all they did in that truck was prep garnishes and heat up frozen food. When talking to a friend about it told me he had the same situation. The food made up for the service. We got the food truck in St Pete around 2pm on a Sunday. No welcome from the woman manning the truck. She took our order and gave us a buzzer. Finally 40 minutes later we get our food . No napkins and no apology for why it took so long to make our order. They were out of anything with short ribs. I had the sticky rice with bang chicken which was very good. My wife ordered the bon bin with the bang bang chicken as well. The buns were okay. The sauce and lobster Rangoon was really good.
