The plumber accessed the wrong cleanout that wasn't connected to my home, was unable to clear the blockage, and diagnosed the issue as roots in the pipes. I was charged almost $600 for this service. I decided to get a second opinion, and the other plumber found that there were no roots in the pipes (confirmed with a camera inspection) and was able to clear the blockage successfully. When I called Mellott Plumbing to explain the situation and request a partial refund, they did issue a refund, which I appreciated. While I'm thankful for the refund and their prompt response, the initial misdiagnosis and incorrect approach caused unnecessary stress and expense. I hope they take this feedback as an opportunity to improve their service in the future.
