I have gone twice in two days during stated business hours (not during any holiday), and both times, no one was there.

It's just a small counter in the market with some seating, but there are also tables in the market. You order on the iPad but the guy working there was nice and helpful too. Got the classic scallion pancake burrito which was out of this world. The fried cheese really makes it, and the thick scallion pancake is just scrumptious. At $16, it might seem steep but it's really quite filling since it's so heavy. For me it was enough to eat half and split with my partner. definitely want to try the chicken one at some point too, so will have to be back soon!

Having heard someone ask for it I asked Isabella if I could have one too and customized it with cilantro. I also ordered esquites and a side of the tangy salsa verde. The quesadilla was large with the cheese and cilantro tucked inside then pan fried until burnished brown. Each bite was ambrosial. I had told her about the ones that I liked at Taco Grand Central but now Forsyth Fire Escape's cheese quesadilla tops that and has to be the finest that i have eaten in the Big Apple. The corn kernels for the Esquites were plump and glistened. One bite and I fell in love. I could eat this every day as it was simply heavenly. Highly recommended!

Idk what is up with the poor reviews of this place, but I found it to be a VIBE!…read more I made sure to include a photo and video dump of my experience, because as you can see it was a vibe. The decor was giving peak Christmas vibes, the music was great with good variation to cater to everyone, and as my first time, it was incredible. I give 4/5 stars because the drinks are definitely mid and not good, but the music and general experience here made up for that.

The only good drink was their take on an espresso martini, the rest are a waste of money. My terrible rating is because of the people in the coat closet though. I'm going to preference this by saying I was able to attend an influencer event so we gave in our jackets and went to walk away when we were stopped and told that it actually wasn't free. Even though there wasn't a sign anywhere for pricing, my friend and I were fine with paying a few dollars to not have to hold our jackets but when the guy told us that it was $8 each jacket, we decided to take them back. We I asked for our stuff back, he looked at the other person working and out loud called us CHEAP. I proceeded to tell him $8 is not cheap and if he thinks that then he is crazy. How rude, if you're going to act like that to people you invited in for good content and I can't imagine how they would treat actual paying customers. There are a lot of other amazing holiday bars in the city, go to one of those instead.

If you're looking for treats that are gluten free, refined sugar free, keto, dairy free (or simply just delicious), this place is absolute magic. The selection is incredible: muffins, cookies, individual cakelets, loaf cakes, macaroons and more -- all made with thoughtful ingredients but without sacrificing flavor for even a second. The macaroons are hands down some of the best I've ever had. The olive oil cake is the kind of thing you think about long after you leave and absolutely cannot pass up. The stuffed cookies? Dangerous in the best possible way -- soft, rich, over-the-top delicious, and guaranteed to steal your heart. As for the muffins... every single one is incredible, but the zucchini muffin, chocolate ganache muffin, carrot muffin, and banana chocolate muffin are standout favorites. Honestly though, you can't go wrong with anything in the case. What makes Off the Wheat so special is that everything feels intentional -- beautiful baked goods made for people who care about ingredients but still want a true bakery experience. It's rare to find treats this indulgent that also fit so many dietary lifestyles. A total must-visit if you're wandering through Union Square Market.

This was delicious. I only wish I had taken a picture, but I gobbled it up so fast I only wish that they were located in Orange County California. It's such a treat to eat baked goods that do not offend my gut.
