Delicious! Let's first speak about the ambience it is stunning. The candle lighting and homage to…read moreFrida Kahlo throughout the restaurant was just breathtaking. It's almost like you can taste her heritage in the food. For starters, we had the classic guacamole and the Gallo and Rivera guacamole and it was delicious.. It comes with three dipping sauces and let's just say if you want a little fire on your tongue try the hottest one. For Andre I had the skirt steak with the mashed potatoes and it did not miss. I ordered my skirt steak medium well cooked two perfection. Our waitress was amazing. She not only gave us time to review the menu time to discuss what we wanted, but she also was very attentive to us and asked if we had any questions or if we had food allergies. She gave us her recommendation for dishes. Overall, this is a great spot for dinner date or like for myself and my team a great business dinner.

Very solid high end mexican spot near hudson yards. It's out of the way if you're not already in…read moreHudson Yards, but if you are it's a good break from the likes of Limusina and others. The tuna tostadas are great, the cocktails are so tasty and go beyond the typical margarita you see everywhere, the cochinita pibil was sooo good with such an amazing habanero salsa accompanying it - honestly perfect in so many ways. I would love to be here with more frequency, but it's not cheap. Though they clearly invested in a really beautiful space and the service is good, though they could use more staff.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was welcoming, friendly and attentive all the way through to the bar. The restaurant itself is absolutely beautiful, with plenty of seating options and a great atmosphere. We tried the recommended octopus, but it didn't quite live up to the hype for me. The sangria was okay, though it wasn't the experience I was hoping for. The empanadas satisfied the craving, and the taquitos with their dipping sauce were definitely one of the highlights. We also ordered a few mixed cocktails and several of them were very good. Where this place really shines is the nightlife. The dance floor had a great vibe, and the DJ absolutely killed it by the end of the night. While the food was a mixed experience for me, I'd definitely come back for the atmosphere, drinks, music and overall nightlife.

The Good: Our Server: Absolutely amazing! Attentive,…read moreprofessional, and easily the highlight of the entire evening. The Ambience: The physical space and decor were very nice and well-designed. The Bad: The Gatekeeping vs. The Reality: The restaurant tries hard to pose as a high-caliber, fine-dining establishment--even going so far as to request that guests remove their hats and sunglasses before entering. However, this "elite" illusion was immediately shattered when we were welcomed by a hostess aggressively chewing gum like a cow. If you're going to enforce a strict, upscale dress code, the front-of-house staff should match that level of professionalism. The Vibe Dissonance: While the decor was lovely, the music and the DJ completely clashed with the overall look and feel of the venue. It felt confused about what kind of establishment it wanted to be and loud. The Food & Drinks: Mediocre: The food was just okay, and the drinks were simply alright. Nothing stood out or justified the high-end posturing. The Verdict: It was an interesting experience to try once, but between the mixed signals and average menu, we wouldn't go back.
