The decor was giving peak Christmas vibes, the music was great with good variation to cater to everyone, and as my first time, it was incredible. I give 4/5 stars because the drinks are definitely mid and not good, but the music and general experience here made up for that.

The only good drink was their take on an espresso martini, the rest are a waste of money. My terrible rating is because of the people in the coat closet though. I'm going to preference this by saying I was able to attend an influencer event so we gave in our jackets and went to walk away when we were stopped and told that it actually wasn't free. Even though there wasn't a sign anywhere for pricing, my friend and I were fine with paying a few dollars to not have to hold our jackets but when the guy told us that it was $8 each jacket, we decided to take them back. We I asked for our stuff back, he looked at the other person working and out loud called us CHEAP. I proceeded to tell him $8 is not cheap and if he thinks that then he is crazy. How rude, if you're going to act like that to people you invited in for good content and I can't imagine how they would treat actual paying customers. There are a lot of other amazing holiday bars in the city, go to one of those instead.

We got the curry chicken katsu bowl, pork katsu bowl, and a side of fries. The curry had so much depth and umami. I need to know the recipe. The pork katsu was savory, tangy, and slightly sweet, making for a really satisfying meal. They substituted the shishito peppers with green beans, but I didn't mind too much. The fries were so good. They reminded me of McDonald's fries, but somehow even better. I also tried the yuzu mint lemonade, and it was way too tart for my taste. I'd probably skip it next time, but if you love sour drinks, you'll probably enjoy it.

Everything was packaged neatly, with the curry in a separate container from the rice and katsu. P.CURRY RICE BOWL (PORK KATSU) - 17.50 The pork katsu cutlet was still pretty crispy by the time we started eating, and the pork was nice and thick, although it wasn't particularly juicy or tender. I'm very glad that the curry was in a separate container -- not because it would have made everything soggy, but because it was so salty. By the end, I barely made a dent in the curry. The katsu curry isn't exceptional, but it gets the job done. We were just looking for something quick and nearby, and Chef Katsu Brooklyn was only a 10-minute walk away, so it served its purpose.

Service: The service is very quick and efficient. They bring your food as it gets ready and they also promptly take away any empty glasses/plates so there is a little bit of hovering around, but I guess that's a reasonable model for a popular place like that. Drinks: The drinks were honestly my favorite part of our meal! Each drink we got was not only crafted with care, but the attention to details was commendable. None of the drinks we had were hard and were very smooth on the palate. Food: We got the Chutoro Laab, Chilean Sea Bass Chakram Curry, and the Beef Cheeks Massaman Curry. All three dishes were mouthwateringly good! I couldn't decide which I liked more - they were all so fragrant and appetizing. Portions were perfect for the two of us - not too small nor large. Dessert: The Pandan Coconut Chiffon cake was like a russian doll, so many layers!! Pandan Coconut layer cake, Pandan pudding, Coconut meat, Salted Coconut cream topped with Toasted Coconut - all packed inside a fresh Young Coconut! Do not forget to eat the coconut meat after your are done with the dessert! Overall, I was completely blown away with the food, drinks and service and can't wait to be back!

She handled the change from four to two very professionally and efficiently and got us seated almost immediately, which was really nice. Our waiter provided good service, but what really stole the show was the food itself. The beef cheek curry was absolutely phenomenal. The beef literally melted in your mouth, and the curry was extremely flavorful, just all-around amazing. The branzino was also really, really good. It came with a sauce that almost put me in the mind of chimichurri - it wasn't chimichurri, but had a similar freshness to it and it paired really well with the fish. We also ordered the green beans, which were surprisingly one of the highlights. They were grilled and drizzled with garlic chili oil, with a tofu cream at the base and crispy shallots. They were tender but still had that nice crunch and freshness you want from green beans. Really, really good. I can be a tough critic, but overall I'd give the experience an 8/10. I would definitely go back. If you're looking for a place with really good food, a great vibe, and beautiful ambience, I'd recommend it. The outside is extremely unassuming, but once you walk in, you get this warm, friendly, almost family-style atmosphere. The aesthetic is gorgeous and the space is just beautiful. Overall, great experience. Great service, great food, and great ambience. It does get a little loud at times, so you may find yourself struggling to hear the person across from you--but for a really good New York restaurant, that's almost expected. I would definitely visit again.

The dim lighting and overall atmosphere made it feel like a true hidden gem in NYC. The service was top-tier. Our server constantly checked in on us, gave us honest recommendations and feedback on the menu, and maintained such a positive attitude throughout the entire night. Even the manager was incredibly friendly and stopped by our table a few times to make sure everything was going well. It honestly felt like we were dining with a group of friends! And the food was delicious. If you love pickles, this is definitely the spot for you! There were pickle options everywhere, from fried pickles to diced pickles incorporated into the dishes. Everything was flavorful, extremely filling, and satisfying. One small tip: if you order something that comes with a biscuit, be mindful of the biscuit sitting underneath the chicken, as it can get a little soggy. Other than that, everything was great! Overall, I had a wonderful experience and would definitely come back. A great atmosphere, amazing service, and delicious food -- definitely worth checking out!

A friend and I chose to experience the Restaurant Week lunch special since neither of us had been to this restaurant before. We sat at the bar and decided to go for the $19 lunch special they serve Monday - Friday instead. We had alot of staff servicing us. Even though we sat at the actual bar, we had a floor server attending to us as well as the bar staff. We even met the manager, Tiffany, as she introduced herself to us and made sure we were taken care of properly. The UWS location is huge. It is about 2/3rds of a North/South block with an enclosed patio built in the front of the restaurant. The bar is simply beautiful. It is half inside and half on the sidewalk also semi enclosed. I did not walk around the inside of the restaurant but I did see there were alot of mirrors and a darker interior. Bar was filled with liquor on the walls and gave it a modern day saloon feel. Very comfortable and inviting. We ordered drinks initially. They were carefully crafted and tasty on a hot summer day. I ordered the Waldorf Salad lunch special and my friend had the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. I must say the portions are large. They make sure you do not leave hungry! :) Both entrees came with soup and a second side. I had the biscuit and honey/maple butter. Oh my was it heavenly. My friend was super satisfied with her sandwich. It looked like a meal fit for a Queen! All of the food was seasoned well. While we were still enjoying our meal the bar changed from lunch to happy hour service. My friend decided to order the Margarita flight. It came with three flavored margaritas for a mere $12. I tried the Spicy Brine Margarita and it will now be the only drink I have for future visits. So delicious and flavorful. We were having such a great time as the bar filled with patrons and we spoke with our neighbors. At this time one of our servers brought us a complimentary pretzel. It was the star of the show from presentation to taste I would recommend anyone to try it. The bathrooms are unisex. By the time I needed to use it the restaurant was crowded and so it needed to be serviced. The stall I utilized had a strong urine smell and needed a proper cleaning. Management might consider placing air fresheners in each stall to at least give the illusion of cleanliness. This restaurant raised the bar for hospitality! The service was top notch as well as the food and atmosphere. If you have not tried this place I highly suggest that you do. It is a 100 out of 10 establishment for NYC! My gratitude goes out to all of the wait staff and bartenders that made our experience so wonderful.
