If you are looking for Holiday Magic, this is not the place to find it. The decor is actually a vibe, a few different floors of over decorated Christmas that is cute to see but insanely overpriced to come. The only good drink was their take on an espresso martini, the rest are a waste of money. My terrible rating is because of the people in the coat closet though. I'm going to preference this by saying I was able to attend an influencer event so we gave in our jackets and went to walk away when we were stopped and told that it actually wasn't free. Even though there wasn't a sign anywhere for pricing, my friend and I were fine with paying a few dollars to not have to hold our jackets but when the guy told us that it was $8 each jacket, we decided to take them back. We I asked for our stuff back, he looked at the other person working and out loud called us CHEAP. I proceeded to tell him $8 is not cheap and if he thinks that then he is crazy. How rude, if you're going to act like that to people you invited in for good content and I can't imagine how they would treat actual paying customers. This place was on my places to visit. The admission was 25 per person just to get in. I bought three beers which came out to 33 dollars and they automatically charged a $6 gratuity fee. My tree bought a grinch themed drink that was $19 dollars. I felt like everything was over priced but those speciality drinks did have a strong kick to them. The music was loud enough that it felt like I was at a club. There are four floors and the fourth floor was quieter than the 2nd and 3rd. It wasn't the same vibe but I could hear what people were saying. I did like and enjoy all the details of decorations. There was a Santa walking around dancing and taking pictures. I would say it is worth the admission since you get plenty of photo opportunities. I do think they could have reduced the prices of their drinks but overall it was cute. This Christmas pop-up bar in Times Square has endless photo ops! It's on the pricier side so definitely a one-time thing but it's Times Square during holiday season so I knew what to expect. Tickets were $36 for a Friday night and cocktails were $19. They had beer and seltzers too. The cocktails had different themes - I got one with coquito called bad Santa which tasted great but it wasn't very strong. I'd recommend the Miracle on 44th street instead it was much stronger and had a similar dessert flavor. I also got a drink called Buddy the Elf which was on the fruitier side, but it was purple and had an orchid flower in it so I think they just ran out of Christmas movie names because there was nothing buddy the elf about it. The drinks tasted good, but for $19 I felt it should come in something more exciting than a plastic cup - maybe a cute Christmas mug. There are 3 floors - the main entrance level, the downstairs level (which has a dj playing music and fun lights), and the upstairs level which has the seating area. We didn't sit or get food, we mostly hung out downstairs because it was the most exciting. Also, it was much faster to get drinks at the downstairs bar than the upstairs bar. I will say though, if you can't handle flashing lights and loud music this place is not for you! You'll also probably have to tell people to move a lot if you want to use a certain photo opp area. Overall this place was super fun and festive. But be prepared to spend money if you're going to drink or make a plan to pre-game/get drinks at a cheaper place after. I have been wanting to go here since it first opened up because it was promoted like one big Christmas party but that it is not....or at least not on a Thursday night after work. I came here with my friends at 5:30pm for a reservation fee of $30. That doesn't cover food and drinks...it's just the entrance fee. This spot is basically one big photoshoot that has several different sets for the Christmas season, especially the first floor. I love a good photoshoot as much as the next person but it's hard to enjoy the food and drinks when there isn't anywhere to sit. You have to spend a lot of money to reserve tables or be quick to catch lounge seating. People were so desperate for seating that some of them remained seated on chairs that were part of the photo ops so we couldn't pose in all of the Christmas set-ups. The first floor had a dj and big dance floor but no dancing. My friends and I were repelled from that floor once we went towards the back and it straight up smelled like crap. I understand the bathroom was in that area but it didn't have to smell like the toilets were outside the restroom. I ended up ordering Bad Santa, which was a $24 dollar cup of Coquito with a splash of coquito. I couldn't drink it all because it was way too sweet. I also asked the bartender why the drink menu priced it as $19 and she was charginge $24. She explained that she was including taxes and gratuity...I bought this at the bar. We're quite disappointed with Frosty's pop-up bar this year. We attended this last year and were bragging to the kids about what a fun time we had and couldn't wait to take them to share this place. However, this year, we're really disappointed When you first walked in, the decorations are definitely over the top. However, comparing to last year you realize this place is much smaller. We were told there were four floors of partying and decorations however, two of the four sections were closed off for private parties limiting our access. We really wonder why we were charged full price admission when we only had access to half of the event. Shortly after arriving and enjoying the music, the DJs turned to upbeat Latin music, which we hear all the time in South Florida. We were much more in the mood for festive music and great dance music. His selection quickly cleared out most of the dance floor yet he continued to play this for about the next 45 minutes. We finally got fed up and left. As a wine drinker, I was very limited and the only two selections. They had literally both suck. This place was over the top fantastic last year and probably one of the highlights of our New York trip. Sadly, this year this place really is a disappointment and it's definitely one of the low lights of our trip! We've been really talking up this place, especially to other New Yorkers and tourist while here however, really regret that now after spending the evening here a waste of money and time! The Christmas decor in this place is absolutely SPECTACULAR!!! I never seen anything like this , it's simply beautiful . They have plenty is photo props and plenty is space , there are at least 2 bars in every floor and the people are super friendly.. even the grinch was nice haha !! The drinks are a bit pricy , I understand this is considered a fancy thing however if you're going to charge $20 a drink make it a little more appealing and put some real alcohol in it .. I can understand why this place doesn't have the best rating. The decorations are beautiful, but when you look at their food and drink menu, there aren't many choices, and I truly feel that they missed an opportunity to include Christmas-themed desserts. My friend and I had the Mrs. Clause drink, and it might as well have been a vodka cranberry! That's exactly what it tasted like. The burger I ordered was pretty good. Our waitress (I think her name was Megan?) was really sweet and made sure we had everything we needed. She even helped my friend and I get a table pretty quickly! The music was cool. Frosty's is definitely a fun one-time bar experience or stop on a NYC holiday adventure. It's an elevated holiday bar with 5 floors and endless lights and decor, but you can imagine the crowd in NYC during the holiday season. There are many spots for photos and a lot of space to just hang out. There is also seating areas and booths in the basement if you want to just sit and chill with your group. The drinks are good, nothing spectacular, but just average for $19 holiday drink in the city. I wish buying a ticket came with one free drink ticket or something, since entry was costly ($36 pp on a Wednesday evening) but a business runs the way it runs. It was definitely a fun holiday vibe, so I'd try going on a weekday at an earlier time so there is less of a crowd. They also have a food menu but we didn't bother after seeing how many people were around. Probably considered a tourist trap but honestly it is still fun and displays the magic of Christmas time. Overall decent experience but probably wouldn't come back again unless I was bringing someone to the city for the holidays. Many bars in NYC are decorated without a ticket or any cover fee needed so I'd probably end up going there. I will mention that the spiked hot chocolate burned my tongue. Yes, waiting on a line to get in was annoying but when I say the line moved really fast I meant it. We were probably on line for about 5-8 minutes. It's nice if you're with a group and you want Instagram worthy photos. You'll get some of the best photos here. Don't waste your time here! I came here with friends and we knew we were walking into a tourist trap when we saw Frostys was located in Times Square but we didn't also know we would be swindled and dimed every step of the way. Issue 1 - reservations are a bust! I came here on a Sunday with a reservation (which we paid in advance for) and still had to wait about 30 minutes to get in. We were patted down by security before we entered. Issue 2 - we paid for 3 floors of Christmas decorations and bars but got 2! We walked in and were told the third floor was closed... so that was false advertisement and honestly the decorations are just OK. It's definitely not as Instagramable as they advertised. Issue 3 - their online menu is NOT what they serve. They only had 5 drinks from the menu. There are no nonalcoholic or hot drinks. Most of the drinks are premade. Also no food options, in case you're curious. Issue 4 - they automatically charge 25% gratuity but don't mention it on the menus or any signage. They don't mention they charge a 25% automatic gratuity on their premade drinks. Each drink is 23.50 not 18. I'm fine with an added gratuity but be clear what you are charging people. Bartender also had an attitude when we asked why the drink was 23.50. Issue 5- staff, especially the bartender on the lower level were rude. Everyone here seemed unhappy... not much Christmas cheer! Bouncer and security actually apologized for having to search us before entering. The bartender we interacted with was just miserable. Issue 6 - bartender almost gave my card to someone else. I saw my bartender trying to give my credit card to someone else and tried to get her attention multiple times. Especially annoying after she copped attitude with us. Issue 7- the DJ played Top 40 REALLY LOUDLY. When we arrived around 5pm they were playing Christmas music. Around 6 they changed the music to Top 40 and turned the volume up really loud. What a festive setting to enjoy dinner for the holidays. The theme is Christmas and the interior is decorated up and down with Christmas lights and other paraphernalia galore. He was very rude and condescending to any person who had any questions or in general tried to enter the restaurant. We bought tickets for the 2 pm slot and while the tickets were to experience all 3 levels the bottom level was unavailable. We were told it opens at 6pm and my thought is why are we paying the full 31$ and not having the full experience ? There were no seats at all and in the restaurant and no place to hang your coats. Best venue from Santa Con! It was decked out in holiday decor. It felt waking through a snow globe! The top floor has a nice booth and tables area and the bottom floor was a great dance-y club.
