This place is a complete joke of a business! I took my shoes there to get repaired months ago and I think it's been close to a year and still no shoes in hand. My dog got to them and chewed them up a bit. The guy told me it would take him two weeks to repair them. Two weeks went by and I went to pick them up. Then he said it would take two more weeks. Then I went back again still no shoes there was a new excuse every time. I have been physically in the shoe repair shop 5 times and still no shoes. They make you pay up front something that should have been a red flag! They put the red bottom shoes in the front to attract high end customers and charge you top dollar and give you the total run around. I should be charging them for my time I have spent calling and showing up with still no shoes in hand. I'm concerned I will never see my favorite Chloe's and beloved Jimmy Choos booties. They told me they lost my phone number yet ever time I went in I made sure they had my phone number. They never once called me! New excuses and excuse they said that he shoes in storage then now a new excuse... I called to make sure they have them before I drove there again. He said they are in a different storage. Where are my boots? Ditto to Steven C's review except my item was a pair of boots rather than a purse. Same runaround (had to send out to warehouse, ready next week, promises to deliver to our home). We still do not have the boots and this is 8 weeks later. This is very disappointing as I was quite satisfied with previous experiences with them. Lie after lie was given to us as to why the boots were not ready. We have given up on getting the boots back and have filed a dispute with our credit card company. Incidentally, this establishment requires prepayment for their service. Never again and I advise all to stay away from this establishment. They are untrustworthy and irresponsible. read more

Love this place! I have taken so many things here, mostly shoes, purses, and wallets, to be cleaned. They always come back spotless and looking like new. Will, the store manager, is so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend! read more

This "business" is run by thieves. Do not go here if you value your possessions and don't want them blatantly stolen by the people who run the store. I was looking to replace a few screws in a family heirloom keychain that's worth a few hundred dollars. Because their location is close to my home, I stopped in and asked if they could help me locate the necessary screws to tighten it up. I was told that wouldn't be a problem, so I filled out a slip and left my merchandise. That was the last I ever saw of the keychain. After repeated trips back to the location and follow up phone calls over the course of many weeks, I was finally told that my item must be lost. No apology, no explanation, no offer for financial compensation was made, no phone call from the manager explaining what happened. Nothing. I basically was robbed. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place at all costs, don't leave anything of value with the people who work there and do business with them at your own risk. read more

Needed to get my shoes shined, they were looking horribly ragged. Saw the place was open and decided something was better then nothing. I did opt for the more expensive option, said my shoes would look like new, so I said sure. I couldn't believe their work. My shoes haven't looked this good since I bought them. My shoe completely ripped as I was putting it on in the car for a concert at the Troubadour. It was unwearable. We happened to be driving past Shoe Lab Doheny when it happened. We ran inside and asked if he could help. Despite the fact that he was planning to close up shop, he did help us. He explained why the shoe had broke, and what he was going to do to fix it. About twenty minutes later, not only was my shoe fixed, but he volunteered to reinforce the other one preemptively. He took great pride in his work, polishing my shoes and making them look better than when I had come in. Price was extremely reasonable, especially in light of the fact that he could've taken advantage of me in that moment. I danced in the shoes all night long without issue. read more

They are expensive but their work is the BEST. Brought them a pair of Jimmy Choo boots I was going to toss because the heels were trashed from getting stuck in NYC sidewalk cracks. Wil redid them and they look like new. Again, they are not cheap, but prices are in line with Arturo's - the other local shop that is well known for repairing luxury shoes/bags - and the owner is much friendlier and more reliable. 0 starts if I could. Haven't returned to this place (the olympic location) in over three years. One of the repair-men started texting and calling my personal phone with strange/inappropriate messages. He clearly got it from my receipt ticket. Very unethical. I had to BLOCK the number. read more

Amazing customer experience. Took 5 min to fix my heel studs after I walked in, offered to glue my soles down for free and was extremely gracious even though I didn't have cash for tip. Five stars. Very happy! :) read more

I had my favorite purse re-glued (the straps separated), and I am very happy with the results. The straps look as they did when the purse was new. I also had my boots sewn by the zipper area, and they did such a great job, they even glued a little area inside, that had come unglued, which I hadn't even noticed. My boots are put back together so securely, I think they will last for much longer than I thought, I am vet happy, and would recommend them to all my friends. read more

He is a master at fixing, shining, cleaning , and waxing shoes. I have taken shoes, briefcases to him and he has done a perfect job whether i asked him to wax, shine or fix anything. Excellent quality work - BUT....Very Poor Service.....Had to wait three weeks for my Belt, when it was promised to be done in one week. I finally got my belt, after 5 visits to the store..... I don't think I will be coming again to this Shoe repair or the other one. read more

This place burned down over the summer, and they have yet to refund me my $55 for my shoe repair or pay me the value of my shoes. If they hadn't taken over 3 months to finish my shoes, and delivered them when they promised, I would have them back. Extremely disappointed that they have not at least refunded the amount I paid for the repair. ...It seems they are keeping whatever insurance payments were made to them for the inventory they had on site. read more

Brought a bag in for repair and they told me they needed two days to get the part. I told them I needed the repair done ASAP. After making me prepay for everything (a very hefty sum for a minor repair), they promised the part would come Monday, and they would be done no later than Tuesday. When I called Tuesday, they still didn't have the part. Called again Wednesday in the morning---still no part, but they promised it would be there and done by Wednesday afternoon. Wednesday afternoon, went to pick up the bag, and they told me they ordered the wrong part. Did anyone bother to call me? No, he was "at lunch" so couldn't call me. I just took the bag and asked for a refund. He kept me waiting 15 min trying to figure out how to do a credit card refund. I couldn't wait any longer. I just left in frustration. With a still broken bag and a credit card dispute. Do not go here. They are expensive and unreliable. read more
