The most incompetent store ever. It takes 2 employees 20 minutes to look up stock for a pair of shoes. One of the employees being a manager. And during those 20 minutes, they're just swapping stories and making commentary. While customers are waiting. 30 minutes of my time wasted for something that should have taken under a minute. read more

This location of Vans is in the Tustin Marketplace area. Compared to other locations, it is easier to access since the storefront has direct access from the parking lot, unlike other Vans where you may need to navigate through the mall or shopping area. It's convenient if you wanted to make a quick run in and out. I came here because I was looking for comfortable walking shoes for an upcoming trip. Living in Orange County, my primary footwear of choice are my Rainbow flip flops, but those won't be appropriate for where I plan on going. Jessie H helped me in the shoe section. She was super informative and helpful. Since I was planning on doing a lot of walking, she recommended their ComfyCush shoe line where it has a lightweight feel for walking and a soft cushion padding. Due to the padding and things, if you try on this shoe, get a half size larger than usual. I tried on the Old Skool ComfyCush ($75) in the Black. I also asked to try on the Grey Authentics ($55), cause my boyfriend has the same pair in men's size. I really appreciated that Jessie strung the laces for me super quick and nicely. I tried a style on each feet and took a few circles around the store. The authentics are so cute and I would love to match with my boyfriend but for the purpose of walking long distances and being comfortable, I had to go with the comfycush. I can always come back to get the authentics another day. Honestly, I probably will get them on a subsequent visit. In addition to the friendly service from Jessie H, the other sales associates at the store were also friendly and engaging. They were very helpful and fun to chat with while I was trying to narrow down my decision. I appreciated their above and beyond service and I was more than happy to do the store survey for them. The Location of this Van's store is at the Tustin Market Place . I was greeted by a young man named Brayden. He gave me such great customer service. I mentioned I used to buy Van's in my younger years, his response was Van's are timeless they are for all ages. I was going to buy two black pairs one for walking other for errands etc. He said take a look at the grey pair very neutral will go with everything. I said they may show more dirt? His response Van's look better with a bit of wear.. Of course I took his advice. So I have a black walking shoe, and a Grey neutral slip on. After ordering a pair of vans Old School Velcros for my grandson online for pick up, we later found the Velcros did not fit, even tho they were the same size as his tie ups. Confused and worried we would not find a bigger size I called the store. After being assured there were plenty in stock we rushed over. WOW! We found the most amazing team of individuals working in store #13 on 12/22!! Each person we interacted with was attentive, knowledgeable and very professional. I looked for Kainoa, the gentleman who reassured me on the phone and agreed to help check the shoe fit for me before buying. I was relieved from stressing about sending my grandson back home (out of the area) with the wrong fit or w/o his new vans altogether. Went to this Vans store today to pick up some shoes for my son who is starting preschool. We were so excited and the staff matched our energy. ELIJAH was amazing! He was such a kind young man. He helped measure my sons feet and was extremely patient with a wild toddler trying to grab everything. He told us about a deal where my son ended up with a free t-shirt. I stopped in to get a gift card.... and decided to try on some shirts (which ran a little small in my opinion).... and looked at the shoes. Went in with 3 kids (2 of them toddlers) and was not once approached by a sales associate for help. I watched the young man at the register help another woman, who came in after we did, instead of assisting us. I know the employees are going and lack the life experience of managing kids while trying to shop, but they should be trained to be more helpful and assist with the customer. My tween daughter loves Vans, and maybe it's just a phase that will pass, but I can guarantee I'll spend my money elsewhere (like Nordstrom) for my 2 younger kids where the customer is first and sales associates are trained and experienced. read more

I went into the store today to get a new pair of Van's. Francesca the manager helped me. I told her about a hole in one of my van's slip on's, she asked me how long I have them, I told her 3-4 months. She then showed me shoes that aren't prone to getting holes in them. I chose a nice pair of suede shoes. She enter the new shoes into the computer and told me I owed her $10 for the new shoes. She gave me full credit for the old shoes and just charged me the difference between the 2 shoes. I can't believe that their is still great customer service. The last couple of pair of Vans I bought came apart within weeks, even though I'm not hard on my shoes. I asked 3 different employees what kind of warranty they offer before I bought another pair. Everyone said "there's no warranty"so I left. Next day I explored their website, and it said that all Vans products have a six month warranty on materials and workmanship. My 12 year old requested his first pair of vans. I was reluctant because he has flat feet and must wear insoles daily which makes it hard for him to find shoes. We walked in, insoles in hand. They measured his foot and showed us where to look. An associate walked by and saw he was holding his inserts and showed us the pro section that come with insoles that are almost exactly like the ones he has or they just slip right out easily for our own insoles. I was blown away they noticed our insoles-I wasn't going to bring it up, we're just used to bringing them along. I came in with my husband and kiddo looking for new slip ones for the hubs and left with that plus two pairs of lace ups for myself. Scott and Tracy are the best! Super chill environment but they were still very interactive in our experience. They even interacted with my little guy in a way I really appreciated. Most adults talk down to kids, especially under 10, but they both treated him like a friend, talking about Minecraft and whatnot. This store is my absolute favorite of the brand and I will def be spending more money here in the near future. This Vans store is fantastic. The store is clean and well-organized, they have a great selection of shoes for everyone, including our toddler. But the best thing is the associates who work at this store. We found them all to be professional, knowledgeable, eager to assist, and they provide a very welcoming atmosphere to their customers. Shout out to Jeffrey, who greeted us immediately when we walked in, helped us measure our squirmy toddler's feet and get her hooked up with some great shoes. While our little was test running a pair of slip-ons (which everyone at the store was really gracious about), I overheard a teen express interest in a pair of platform sneakers. The teen's Mom didn't seem happy about the particular shoe selection and snarked that she thought those shoes were for girls. I cringed for a moment but then heard a store associate respectfully interject into their conversation that all Vans shoes are unisex. YES! To get my feet into some Hello Kitty Vans! I walked in, feeling intimidated. I'm not a skateboarder or a kid or a teenager. I am a kid at heart, though. The first thing I noticed on this steamy Saturday was the airconditioning must've been on full blast. Extra stars for that! The sales associate was helpful, although I thought she might've gone to China to look for my size. She was gone for a long time. Plus, I was the only customer in the store. She finally came back (what? no souvenirs?) empty handed. I was disappointed, but figured there are other locations I could hit up.
