Maybe the quality of his work has always been bad, but he has enough customers who don't know any better. Maybe, he is incapable of recognizing how bad his work is. I recently took a pair of brand new leather boots and a pair of lightly used, clean and conditioned leather dress shoes that have satin laces to get a rubber half-sole applied. Not only was the work done extremely unprofessionally, but my boots and shoes were returned dirty and stained. The half soles on the boots are uneven. The bottom surface of the shoes was excessively and unnecessarily removed behind the half-soles on both pairs, but especially the boots. The brand new heel on one boot was even damaged on the corner! The cherry on top were the black stains left on the satin laces of the dress shoes. I can't buy replacement satin laces in the correct shade of green anywhere to match these shoes in case the stains do not come out. When I expressed my dissatisfaction and asked for a refund, I was met with denial, refusal, and responses of, "I don't give refunds, that's how I do everyone's shoes." He took no accountability. He charged me $130. I would not bring anything that you care about here, unless you want to pay to have your possessions mistreated. If he can't respect your shoes, he can't respect others or even himself. Sad.

They are reasonably priced and were willing to throw on some new taps and a polish while I waited. Shoes looked great and I was on my way in no time. It isn't fancy, well kept or well organized but great customer service and reasonable prices make this place a northeast philly gem for 40 years.

Kevin was the most thorough by far! He moved our kitchen appliances to show us where they may be nesting, and identified potential entry points that needed to be sealed. He did regular treatments and followed up to make sure that our pest problem wasn't recurring. When our bug problem became a mouse problem, he came by immediately with traps. When the mouse got loose in the house, he coached us through how to catch it live on the phone, and came by the next day to check on us. They put black heels on brown soles/boots that are much thicker and have a more aggressive tread than the original. It looks completely off. They said they tried to find brown but couldn't. I wish they would have called and told me before doing the repair, I would have just sent them to Red Wing. They also resoled a pair of dress shoes and those were well done.

Took sandal back to the store and was met with immediate attitude and accusations that I was trying to trick them. But, hello, it doesn't take much common sense to realize that if you're not seeing the glue you use to repair, then you forgot to use glue in the 1st place! Now I understand low review score.
