Large portions. A tad expensive for not being gourmet. Yet the food tasted good. Service by Kate was ok. Ambiance fine. in order to enter Shogun Legacy, you should go around the back because in the front is the golfing store. I'll call it that for lack of a better word. They also have nightly entertainment on the back porch. I would say the crowd is averaging on the older/mature side if you get my drift. 3.5 stars.

I'm a bit stunned having just spent $157 on some sushi and chinese food. Yes the service was attentive, the view was awesome and the food was very tasty. My husband and I each had two drinks (2 beers/2 glasses Chardonnay). We shared the sashimi nachos and spicy girl roll. Both delicious. My husband had the Kung po chicken and I went with the sesame chicken. We both replaced the white rice for fried rice and that was an $8 upcharge. I think that's a bit unreasonable, no?!I I would've stuck with white rice. My portion was large though and I took more than half home. All in all the food was great. We went on a Friday night and were seated at a high top outside (which I highly recommend). There was also live music which was a nice surprise. I tipped singer too. Kind of a pricy night out... be ware and enjoy!

I haven't been to this place in well over 10 years. I decided to give it a try and I was not disappointed. Service was extremely quick, waitress was friendly, and the food was cooked to perfection. Everything was so tasty and fresh, and the presentation was excellent. This was definitely one of the best hibachi plates I've ever had. Also came with soup & salad. Great portion sizes, will definitely be returning

Loved every aspect of it!!!…read more Lots of room, so it doesn't feel crowded, even though it can fit quite a lot of people between the multiple dining rooms. The private party room at the entrance is eye catching. Very friendly server and wait staff. Helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. Margaritas are a must. I personally recommend the jalapeño cucumber marg with a tajin rim. The flautas as an appetizer were perfect. Lightly fried and full of flavor, especially with the avocado ranch/crema dipping sauce. The shrimp ajillo (garlic) entree was right up my alley. Personally, I could've done with a bit of spice kick, but it was good all the same, and especially the cilantro lime rice that came with it. I'll definitely return, and probably with more friends!!!

For me, he ordered a chicken fajita's with grilled chicken since I'm not a fan of blackened chicken. I was so excited to get my fajita. Whenever I have Mexican food, I usually order Fajita's. I have been on the hunt the past 6 months to find the best place for fajita's. I have been to many places in Brick, Toms River & Lakewood. Most of them have been a disappointment. While I don't want to say Sofia's was a disappointment, I will say I was not impressed. My client loved his fajita. He was very happy with his meal and will most likely order again. My food on the other hand had very little flavor. Like I said, my client ordered the chicken grilled because I'm not a fan of blackened. The onions and peppers were horrible. They were barely cooked so they were crispy. I understand not wanting them to cook so they get mushy but they shouldn't be raw which is basically what I received. The flavor was minimal as well. It wasn't terrible but it was only slight. Not flavorful like you would expect a fajita to taste. I think Sofia's is a bit overpriced for what you receive. My meal was nothing to write home about. Needless to say, I'm still on the hunt for a good fajita. I do want to point out that the 2 girls in the front were awesome. They greeted me with a smile and were very helpful. They were also grateful for the small tip I gave them. I tipped them what I had in my wallet. Sofia's is just ok. Nothing extraordinary. Nothing stood out other than the 2 employee's that I interacted with that day. While I am not going to discourage anybody from trying Sofia's, I'm not going to encourage either. Maybe the cook had a bad day. Maybe they were busy and I didn't realize it. (It was only 4:30 in the afternoon when I picked our meal up so it was still early). I'm not sure I'll be going back for a 2nd try at Sofia's. Once I'm disappointed, I tend to not do it again but you never know. My client paid for my meal and I'm grateful for that. My client and his neighbor enjoyed their meals so I'm grateful for that as well.

I don't know how old the restaurant is, but I believe it's relatively new as it looks very clean, modern, has very high ceilings and a modern rustic type of feel. There are steel beams in the ceiling to the floor. The flooring is a warm laminate wood. They have booths, tables and a nice bar area. The dining room also has windows with natural lighting and also lights that come down to each table. We are greeted by our waiter and sat, he was friendly and attentive. The only thing that was odd, he didn't check to see if our main courses came ok. But overall, we really liked this restaurant. They have a very eclectic menu. We shared the Bavarian pretzel, the mustard and the beer cheese were excellent. I had the Tuscanwich with breaded eggplant. It also comes with broccoli rabe, roasted red peppers and house made mozzarella on Joe Leone's bread. It was awesome. It also comes with housemaid potato chips, which were excellent. My wife had the Smashburger with sweet potato fries. She said it was amazing. I had a Franzeskonner beer, which is very hard to find so I was very happy about that. My wife had a winter tequila cocktail, which looked beautiful and also tasted great. We passed on dessert, but we will definitely be back. They also have other really great entrées. They have a really good wine list and many awesome cocktails.

Well mannered , knowledgeable about the menu , sincere all well moving with a purpose. He treated us a lonely table of 2 like we were his only priority well simultaneously handling a 10 , 4 and 6 top. We sat in the side dining room facing the kitchen pass. We watched 6 pros handle business. Minimal words just chin gestures and some pointing. Some serious heat was moving thru that kitchen being passed to runners that kept that fire alive calling for garnish extra sauce and accoutrements as if it was Orchestra.Food was phenomenal. Egregious portions. Flavors layer. Sweet salty fatty creamy one after another nothing standing too far out or too far behind. The spice in the seafood dish was about right to let you know it was there but not over stay it's welcome. Plump seafood with a clean finish. We shared a bite with each other and went for seconds. The dessert a catcher's mitt size of chunk of old style ricotta cheese cake. Mind you all this was happening when they were serving a wedding of 50 in the back room. Two cons. The a/c wasn't working it was a little warm. I won't harp too much on that we had extreme weather the day prior. Number 2 . Truffle oil. The table next to us ordered truffle fries. Needless to say we ended up with some great photos at the end of the day. You're not going here though for the view. Sorry I had to. Anyways we only ate off the buffet menu that they had prepared. The selection was suprisingly minimal compared to others that I have been at but the price was less than those bigger ones. The quality of the food was 50/50 and the presentation of it was just the same. They had a really great potato dish with red peppers and onions. Wanted to put some ketchep on the side of that and for some reason that was only at another table in a completely different room. The salmon and the chicken were very well prepared but the eggs were not that great. Like I said you had a 50/50 chance of getting something that you were going to like. The dessert was about the same and there was enough choices that you were going to get something that you liked. The service was really what took this place down a notch. Which is strange because it's a buffet so it should be really hard to have bad service. The drinks that we ordered were a pain to get refilled and the plates were not getting taken from the table almost at all. We would have a bunch of empty glasses of water at the table and one of us would ask the server to fill it. She would come and fill that persons glass and walk away. So we realized that we had to tell the server to fill all the empty glasses. Problem was we had to keep doing this they wouldn't just do it. We had to ask each time. It's water it's free and I get that but to have to keep asking for a refill so weird. I wouldn't mind going to play a round at this place sometime and then try the regular sit down menu. Just don't know if this place was really that much of a stand out that I would go back. Would probably say worth a stop if your playing a round and in this area specifically.
