I have started going back to Shogun's and able to say the service has gotten a lot better. I think there was an owner change which I am happy about. The servers are way better and their cooked items are delicious. I have not given their sushi another try but I will in the future. read more

Last night we came to have dinner and when we walked in there was no host, we waited for about 5 minutes to get seated and nobody came or even made eye contact. We decided to take a seat close by since it was pretty empty, probably 3 tables where occupied. We waited at the table for 20 minutes to get greeted nobody came. Waitress made eye contact a couple of times and never even asked if we had been taken care of. We ended up just leaving. This place has the worst costumer service. read more

Was very disappointed by the service, which saturated my first-time experience here with a colleague. The two of us entered the restaurant at lunch, and while they had only two tables sat and we saw at least six staff members working, we waited ten minutes before we were sat. Another 15 went by before we were visited by a server for drink orders. I was a server for years and so was my friend, so we have a lot of empathy and understanding for others in the industry, but we were very put off by seeing individuals who were sat after us being helped without the server even saying a, "I will be right with you" as she passed us. We nevertheless ordered our food and a to-go order eventually, which did not come out as quickly as promised. The food was mediocre. Our server again passed us up multiple times even though we were clearly looking to her for help, and we had to eventually get up from our seats and walk to the front desk to ask for the check so we could pay and return to work on time. Our server seemed put off by this given that a manager witnessed it, and she deliberately delayed our checks by another 15 minutes in a passive-aggressive gesture. Let me start off by saying that if I could give this place 0 stars I would. I ordered a Red Dragon Roll and a Rainbow Roll, both to go as I live in a nearby subdivision and just wanted to sit in front of the TV and eat at home. Halfway through one roll and mostly finished with the other I immediately began to feel sick. I called back to let them know that I would be returning with both of the rolls and would like a full refund for the product. I was assured by the waitress who took my order that I would get a refund. When I arrived I asked to speak with the manager, who not only refused to give me a full refund but also suggested that I wanted to get a free meal out of the experience. I told her of course that this was not my intent as I had paid for the rolls and not had any problems with my debit card. Again I asked for a refund and told the manager that I felt sick. It was at this point that I asked her what the restaurant report was for the restaurant which she refused to tell me. There was another paper covering it on the wall and when shuffling everything around I noticed that it was a C! If I had known that ahead of time I never would have ordered from there! Needless to say that after all arguring and standing there I was steadily getting more and more nauseous. I proceeded to refund the food from my tummy all over the bathroom. The experience ended with me having to have the manager call an ambulance for emergency pick-up and I spent an afternoon/evening getting fluids and anti-nausea medication. It wasn't pleasant and I will be calling the health department on Monday. I hope no one else abuses their tummy with the food here. It's not worth the trip to the hospital. :( read more

Menu prices vary from menu to menu...not to mention menu to bill. Wait time was horrendous! When the wait staff was around they were overly friendly to compensate for the lack of a decent run kitchen. At least you'll get your drink order quickly...but not your food! Dirty! We had to ask twice for the Hibachi Grill to be cleaned. We were told it was clean. The chef then proceeded to knock old food out of a ramkin before putting sauce in there. We would of walked out if our kids were not so excited. Food was okay but hard to stomach after seeing cleanliness. read more

We started out with a positive attitude. We order hibachi meals. Soup and salad were brought to the table. As our 18 year old took her second bite of salad she noticed a two inch black hair imbedded between the layers. We all stopped eating our salad. The waitress was called over and she removed all the salads. She acted surprised but did not offer any explanation. We thought about leaving but decided to try and follow through with our meal. When our chef came we asked him to clean off the grill before cooking. The corners had left over food from earlier in the day. The food was average but our appetites were negatively affected. We asked to speak to the manager but there was not one on duty. We paid our 103.00 bill and left. I talked to the manager by phone later and he was sorry and discounted the bill by 12.00. As far as I know, this restaurant average lunch cost is less equal $10 per person. Dinner average is $14 per person. With the quantity and quality of food, it is worth it all. read more

I have been here in the past and never had a problem, but i went there today with a coworker and sat at the hibachi. She ordered the filet mignon and i ordered the steak. They cooked the food and served us then walked away and the filet mignon was rancid. First bite made that VERY CLEAR. We told the waitress and asked that they just bring out another steak instead of the filet mignon but they brought it out again anyway. Second serving was better than the first but still tasted on the verge of going bad. She did not eat any of the meat except for one bite then we asked for the bill and they charged her the full price of the filet, no discount for serving RANCID meat! I will have to rethink returning here and i hope that neither of us get sick from the tiny amount we did eat. read more

Not bad. Came for lunch with the family. Pricing is what one would expect from a sushi place, although the sushi pieces are bigger than normal ($40-$60). Lunch specials are pretty good. The sushi is flavorful and isn't overwhelming with sauce. They also give out a good proportion of finer and wasabi. The service was fast and timely. It is average with other sushi restaurants. I have been to a number of other Shogun locations and it has always been "OK" at least. We made a special trip out to this location and were met with a clearly unhappy waitress who sat us down at a dirty table and took our drink orders (some of the mixed drinks on the cocktail menu were not available for some reason). The waitress returned a bit later to take our orders, (GF: Bento Box, Me: Shaggy Dog Roll) as the waitress dropped the sushi order off at the sushi bar, they immediately sat a pre-made sushi roll on the top of the bar and it sat there until the bento box (which took at least half an hour) arrived. The first bite I took into the roll was very warm, rubbery, and tasted rancid, but, because I don't like being that annoying complaining patron, I ate it... Later that night at home I ended up spewing my guts out all night and felt very sick. I very rarely post a negative review on a restaurant, especially one that I have been to many times, but this one definitely deserved it. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. At all. Ever. The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars is because of the other locations I had been to before that deserved an "OK" rating. read more

When we arrived we were told that there was a lengthy weight for the hibachi but we could eat in the dining room. We asked if the food was prepared the same way and were assured that it was and would just be cooked in the kitchen instead at the table. We ordered sushi first which was not rolled correctly and fell apart. The service was terrible and we had to wait 30 minutes to get the sushi. Then another 45 minutes to get our food, that was not cooked the same as the hibachi. The meat was bland, chewy, like it had been boiled in water. The vegetables were slimy and soggy. Even the fried rice tasted weird. I asked the waitress to get the manager. After another 20 minutes, she came over (the same person that seated us and told us the food was the same) and she said that it was prepared differently in the kitchen. I asked for the entree to be taken back and gave her the plate. When we went to pay, she gave me a discount on my meal (that I did not eat) instead of taking it off our bill. I paid for the inedible food and had to wait another 10 minutes for change. The manager had to dig change out of her purse to give me change, which seemed really strange. This is one of the worst customer service experiences that I have ever had and we will not return to this restaurant. read more
