It had a little too much sauce for me (even after asking for very light sauce), but that didn't stop me from enjoying it immensely! We had plenty left for lunch today and the best part - no congealed oil on either dish! I felt like it was a little pricey for three dishes ($57), but the portions were huge, so it covered two meals. We stop by after every pickleball game we have and our group can't help but order what we consider the "necessary" BA bites. AKA most of the menu. Salt and pepper tofu (my fave), grilled mackerel (yum), shrimp skewers (a classic), cucumber salad, garlic mushrooms and more. Never went wrong with trying something new from the menu. This place has always been a vibe and I've celebrated many an occasion here. But it's also one of our fave can't decide on anything dinner spots. Boiling Avenue will always hold a special place in my heart. Cheers!

I tried their sukiyaki set, both wagyu and seafood. I wish they had given some instructions on the approach or order I should eat the sets of food. It was a little chaotic trying to figure out how I could submerge all the ingredients in the broth so they would cook evenly. The tempura is perfectly crispy, but the rice was a little brittle and got dried really fast. The texture was more like Vietnamese broken rice, and it caught me off guard because when I tried their sushi a while ago, they used very high-quality rice. As is typical with sukiyaki, the broth becomes very flavorful at the end, absorbing all the flavors from high-quality ingredients, but my udon got a little dry while waiting. Since I tried both set, the wagyu sukiyaki broth became a little too sweet at the end. My favorite is definitely the seafood sukiyaki broth. Would I try these pricy sukiyaki again? Probably not. Would I go back to Azayaka again? 100%. This would not discourage me from going back there any amount.

There was no sign for us to wait to be seated. 2) server was very nice. 3) we got our water quick. Water tasted good. 4) Sushi and bento box was good. Sauces were very salty. Chicken katsu was moist and good. 5) server paid attention to the tables with customers and made sure to bring the tab as soon as they were done eating. 6) as I mentioned, it's one large room with several businesses inside there is a bathroom in the back. You have to walk past the bar to get to the bathroom. 7) lots of parking. Easy to find parking. 8) Happy Hour is M - F, 4-6pm Cons 1) it is on the pricier side, but foods are good. 2) Conclusion We liked this place. It was good. Staffs were nice.

There were so many options on the menu that we were hoping to sample, but we finally settled on one each of the three different kinds of musubi they have (the OG Spam, chicken katsu and barbecue chicken), the fried saimin (again with Spam); I selected the barbecue mixed plate and my cousin picked the barbecue and chicken katsu plate. For dessert, the malasadas were an obligatory finish. (I'm just sorry we didn't get a photo of the malasadas.) We were instantly transported home with the first bite of the fried noodles. The musubi was the perfect ratio of meat to rice, and the nori perfectly covered everything (not one of these "bikini strips" of seaweed that don't even cover half of the musubi). The portions for the plates was impressive, and I've gotten a total of four meals from my leftovers. The malasadas were pillowy, and perfect, not greasy. The Hawaiian music was the perfect touch. It really felt like we were home during our meal. The restaurant was immaculate as was the restroom (yes, I judge a place on the cleanliness of the restroom and make sure there's soap in the dispenser!).
