The food more than lived up to the beauty of the space. One of the first highlights was the salmon onigiri, a dish that proved how satisfying simplicity can be when it is done well. The rice was soft, fresh, and perfectly formed, holding together without feeling too compact, while the salmon added a savory richness that made each bite feel comforting and flavorful. It was balanced, delicate, and deeply satisfying in a way that made it memorable despite its simplicity. The seared salmon salad was another standout. I had the chicken Teriyaki Lunch Box along with Shrimp Tempura Sushi and Lemon Iced tea. The food was good and pretty affordable. As a big fan of tongue, my mouth watered. The waitress asked me how spicy I wanted it, so I requested mild to ensure it wasn't going to burn my mouth. The Sushi Pizza was tasty, although thought some may think it was a little pricey for the size. The flavorful tongue in the Cheley Khatsa was tender, as expected. Glad I didn't get it spicier! It came with white rice, which helped. Although I'm not often in this section of Jackson Heights, might consider stopping by another time to check out other specialties. Recommend you check it out as well.
