Stoped here on the way back from Fremont to Flamingo. It's out of the way, but was a delicious ramen fix for a late night out! Service was slow and the place is tiny, but it really hit the spot! I ordered the wings, beef appetizer, and their most popular ramen dish ( I can't recall the name but it was recommended by the waiter and it did not disappoint).

I'm back! The restaurant is located on 3889 Spring Mountain Rd., Las Vegas, NV. This is open 24/7! It's cool and clean in here. Music is Japanese. Per the restaurant: "Shokku Ramen is the ONLY 24/7 and one of the Top Rated Ramen Restaurants in Las Vegas, and now open in Houston Heights, Texas! Experience the flavors and shocking spice of our authentic ramen bowls - with a twist! Nestled in the heart of Chinatown, less than a 10-minute drive from the Las Vegas strip, Shokku Ramen is rapidly being hailed as one of the hottest ramen spots for tourists and locals in Las Vegas, and is now one of the best ramen spots in Houston too! Shokku Ramen showcases an innovative Japanese menu concept, coupled with rejuvenated unique spicy options, and carefully curated signature ramen creations. With walls plastered in Japanese manga scenes, we offer electrifying, nontraditional ramen creations and scratch-made 24-hour broths, 36-hour marinated meats, traditional and original toppings, as well as various different types of spice, harmoniously amplifying each flavor profile. From mild to excruciating, our ramen offerings are unquestionably bringing some heat to the widely traditional American ramen scene. If spice isn't your thing, no need to worry, we offer standard traditional flavors such as Tonkotsu (pork broth),  creamy Tori chicken broth, flavorful Niku, and even vegan options. We also offer small bites such as our signature shrimp pops, traditional fried chicken kara-agé, and salted edamame. If one would be so inclined, the Shokku tacos are a must try, as are our decadent wok-fried rice bowls. If you're a fanatic for heat and looking for a challenge, look no further. "The Shinigami Challenge" is a massive bowl of our spiciest ramen with exaggerated portions, topped with our infernal Shinigami spice, and measuring in at over 4 million Scoville units of heat! Any challenger brave enough to attempt a basin with 24 ounces of the spiciest ramen broth in Las Vegas, a quarter pound of pork chashu, two soy-cured eggs, and a mountain of other toppings has 8 minutes to finish the challenge in order to receive their meal for free and get their name and picture on the champions' Wall of Warriors forever!" For our appetizer, we are having the Shokku Wings. These are sweet chili brined wings topped with green onions. For our spice level, we can choose from "I'll Pass, Just Right, Kappa, Oni or Shinigami." "Just Right" thank you ("one pepper"). These are yummy! I can still taste the heat! For you hot sauce connoisseurs out there, try the Shinigami. Challenge! No, I'm not going near that! For his ramen soup, he's having the Surf and Turf. This is made tender NY strip steak and shrimp tempura in their house-made Tori (creamy) broth served with yellow noodles, soy-cured egg, fried onions, ginger butter and green onions. For spiciness, he is sticking to "Just Right." He says it's better with chicken broth (last time he had pork broth), I am having "Da Oxtail." This is made with Tender, shredded oxtail & steak in a combination of our Tonkotsu and house-made oxtail broth, served with yellow noodles and topped with mixed mushrooms, soy-cured egg, bok choy, red ginger, fried onion and ginger butter. For spiciness, I am having the "Kappa" (green onions?) which is one step up from "Just Right." It's not super hot, but I can taste it. This is a yummy bowl of soup! I just heard a dot matrix printer! What a great meal here!

We were in Vegas and came across this place. Decided to have dinner here Great decor, they played anime cartoons on big screens, customer service was friendly. We were seated pretty quickly wasn't to busy it was a Thursday. We placed our orders and waited about 10 min received everything and it looked fantastic We enjoyed everything ramen was very flavorful Fried rice was great, mini tacos were great nice texture Would definitely come back again if we are in the area

The ramen is delicious and they give a generous portion of meat. The service is prompt and the atmosphere feels very authentic.

I got one of their signature spicy ramens the ramen was decent, but my main complaint was the egg it was really overcooked and it's on the pricier side. The service was good a standard ramen sit down. The vibes inside was nice.

This Ramen was delicious full of flavor hearty the noodles were fresh chewy but still dense this place is definitely would be a return if you're feeling ill or just need a good comfort soup I wasn't too sure how to order so I think I went kind of plain next time I'll have to try something a little more adventurous. The crispy beef was different they were crispy with full flavor but like I say, give it a try and you decide.

Hey if you like anime this place is definitely for you. I enjoy this ramen shop mostly because the customization is great! I usually come in here to have their vegan options. They have a wide selection of vegan menu choices and a dedicated mushroom based broth. If you build your own ramen, the price is pretty good! I ordered a very simple yellow noodle, vegan broth, with corn, red ginger, and green onions. The ramen comes with fried onions on top. The waitstaff is pretty attentive. They got me seated quickly. They refilled my water. No issues there. The restaurant itself is pretty clean and the bathroom was clean. There's a variety of anime inspired ramens. If ya like those or maybe you just want some vegan options, this place is good. The anime ones look a bit pricey for my taste but building your own is the way to go.

SHOUT OUT TO CHRISTINE FOR TOP TIER SERVICE!! Came here the other night with my family and the food was good, dinner rush didn't seem too bad and we got our appetizers and entrees right away. Will definitely come back again!!

My friends and I had a reservation to a different cafe but we were very early and quite hungry. We were told China Town has good food spots. We walked to china town from where we were. We finally got to China Town and started looking at all the different places. We all thought this place sounded good so we walked in. We were warmly welcomed by the server and he seated us. We didn't want to eat too much so we all decided to share a couple items. We ended up getting edamame and some gyoza which tasted amazing! We were so hungry, we finished our food up quickly. It was very filling for the amount of food it was! I'm glad we were able to find such a cool place to eat on the spot. 12/10 recommend this place!

Been seeing this restaurant pop up on my social media feeds and decided to give it a try. Started off with chicken karaage, crispy beef and drowning gyoza. Karaage had good flavor and texture. Same went for the beef. The gyoza tasted like the frozen store bought stuff you can get from the Asian market. For my main entree, I did the Shinigami ramen. This is where they lost me. I would call the char siu average. It was a nice thick cut but the flavor was underwhelming and it was in the drier side for texture. The broth was really watery and flavorless. They also added tons of black garlic oil and it was bitter and overpowering. I was tasting bitter garlic the rest of the night. My friend had the peanut and eggplant ramen and he also said the broth was bland. I'm wondering if they're just using packet broth and jazzing it up with other things to mask the lack of quality? With tip the bill for two people was $110. It was definitely not worth it unfortunately.

    Dumplings
    Cheri H.

This was some of the best ramen I've ever had and the dumplings were delicious too!! The service was great! Raquel was a great server! She was very friendly and had great recommendations. I would definitely come back here!

Is this better than tomi ramen? Tomi was too salty

Ramen broth is the perfect umami not overly salty!! Definitely a must try in Chinatown. Also excellent happy hour 1/2 off beer and appetizers

    Does it actually open 24/7?

    Yes it's awesome!

Can you have a group of 10?

I believe for large parties, you need to call and make a reservation. I've gone with 5 others and they were able to accommodate with a reservation.

    Do you have happy hour?

    I believe they do

    Does this place have alcohol?

Yes they do. They have a drink manu, have sake and other alcohol. I did not order them but it's certainly in the drink manu

Do the ramen noodles have egg or are they vegan? are there specified vegan options?

You'd have to check for the regular and the spinach noodles since that could depend on where they're from. They do have konjac noodles which are made from plant fibers based off of what's available in the consumer market, and those wouldn't have…

    Do you use MSG?

Yes, but I encourage you to do more research on the effects of MSG. Monosodium Glutamate is made up of Sodium (Salt) and amino acid present in many living organisms, including tomatoes and cheese. The amount used in many restaurants in negligible.

Are there MSG free options for MSG allergies?

    Do I need reservations?

    No. Walk-ins welcome.

    Gluten free options?

Hi Jose, We do have various gluten free options on our menu, such as our edamame & garlic butter…

Can we have 5 people in our group?

Yes, you may have 5 people in your group!

Are reservations required or are walk ins okay?

    Walk ins are okay

Is this the same ramen restaurant that used to be at Windmill and Bermuda?

No it's not. It's a brand new ramen joint.

Upon arriving, I walked in and called again to see if the phone worked. It rang without an issue. I noticed the restaurant had four tables occupied. Two with food, two waiting for food one with dishes waiting to be cleared. One server on the floor. He greeted me. I let him know, I've been calling for twenty minutes. He apologized and responded with, "I'm the only one here". It's a small place so there isn't much running around. Although a lot can happen in twenty minutes, I don't think it was that busy he couldn't answer the phone. From being a former server, not taking a phone call is missed business I was taught. It doesn't take long to take an order by phone or at least answer and put the call on hold. The server told me to give him a couple minutes and he would be back to take my order. He dropped off to one of the tables waiting on their food and then took my order. Fifteen minutes later my food was brought to me. During that time, the server chatted with a guest for a few minutes before serving food to the last table waiting on theirs. That there was a prime example the server could've done something similar with a phone call coming in. There was no rush for him to clear the table that had dirty dishes on it so I didn't see the struggle he used when not answering my call for twenty minutes. I opted to stop here as it was on the way home instead of going to the one on Rainbow. Food was fine. This my first experience coming to this location. It will be my last. I highly recommend ordering online to avoid the disaster I experienced on this visit.
