Walked in without reservations on a Wednesday at 6:30pm and was seated immediately, we chose to sit at the bar. Best thing we ate was the fresh catch of the day sashimi platter of 18 pieces. Asked for a side of fresh wasabi and topped each piece with it...yum! This pairing went well with the bottle of pineapple sake. Uni pasta was creamy with lots of uni pieces mixed in. Yakitori skewers we ordered: beef tounge which was tough, but the rest were flavorful: chicken heart was, Hokkaido scallops, pork belly. Staff were friendly, service was great, surely would come for their happy hour next time.
Izakaya Go is a gem for late night bites. It is one of my favorite places to go after 10 pm because of their late night happy hour. The late night happy hour tapas are a great value & the beer and sake hits the spot after a busy night at work. The ambiance is cozy & intimate with Hawaiian reggae music setting the perfect mood. Service is consistently friendly & they are very attentive. It does get busy after 10 though, so be sure to sign in as soon as you get there! My husband & I always order a bunch of different items & everything we've had so far has been really good. The fish in the handrolls are fresh & everything else is made to order. We always sit at the bar if seats are available, but if not, then we sit at a table. The downside: it is really small, the tables are very close to each other, so at times it may feel like you are sitting at the same table as your neighbors & you can't help but hear their conversations. The booths & bar offer more space & are great if you are lucky to get one. If you get a late night craving of Japanese food, I suggest you giving this place a try. Kanpai!
i used to come here weekly in college. i hadn't been back in a few years, but i'm so happy that this izakaya is still consistent in terms of food, vibes, and service. we brought my cousins from out of town here this past week and our party of four didn't have a reservation on a monday night, but were lucky and seated right away. i would def recommend making a reservation in advance if possible though because it gets busy, even into the late night since it's a nice spot to catch up over tapas and drinks. favorite orders: * bluefin kamikaze roll * chutoro roll * blue crab fried rice * salmon ikura bowl prices are fair for the quality. everyone i bring here loves the ambiance and how authentic the food is. it has a nice balance of cooked and raw options.
The atmosphere felt so authentically Japanese that I almost forgot I was in the US and thought I was back in Japan. I was so happy to finally have Japanese food after such a long time, and it was delicious! The staff was incredibly sweet and friendly, and they were so kind to my 3years old son, too. I want to come back soon!
Sashimi special seemed too good in price to be true and it definitely was. Very thin pieces of fish that left me hungry. Prob won't be back.

My favorite Japanese beer, on draft- heaven. It's the little things. Also ordered the fancy tuna cut roll (very good), half ramen- shio (yummy), eel & chicken skin skewers (so yummy), seasoned cabbage (I miss my veggies), salmon handroll (exactly as it sounds), shumai (not a fan at all, and I usually love shumai), and corn (had a weird taste). Definitely would come back. Sat at the bar and it was great.
I love Izakaya Go. When I miss Japanese Izakaya foods, I always come here. Foods are always good. It's fresh and good quality. It is always busy. It is available noisily level. If you want to sit down to the table, you better to make a reservation. I enjoyed some foods from the happy hour menu and the regular menu. The servers were friendly and nice. It is a small restaurant but I like that. The tiny space makes me feel like I am in Japan.
We decided to have dinner at Izakaya Go and stay for some happy hour drinks. We walked in and only waited about 15 minutes for a table. We ordered sake, a pitcher of beer, a few appetizers, and a couple of sushi rolls. Everything had great flavor, and the chutoro sashimi was especially good. Our waiter was really cool and helpful. The inside has a nice Japanese themed atmosphere with a lot of character and detail.
Came here last night with some girlfriends (my first time) and had an awesome experience. The seating is limited so I suggest making a reservation or going during off hours (however happy hour starts at 10p). Staff were amazing. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Everything we ate tasted was great! We ordered so much food.. My favorites: blue fin sashimi, uni pasta, fried tentacles, and chicken skin skewers. Yuzu mule was such a refreshing cocktail to wash everything down. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

It's a very small seating capacity so if your with a group plan ahead and call them. The staff were attentive and efficient. Foods - pork belly, beef bento plate and sushi. Parking- ho all the way to the end facing their entrance they have plenty of space.
Off-strip, although their parking lot has a beautiful view of said strip, Izakaya Go is still worth a trip imo. You'll get plenty of options for tasty treats at prices slightly better than you'll see on the strip itself. Quality is in line if not better as well. We grabbed a reservation and at first figured we probably didn't need it, however, this place filled in fast. Get yourself a variety of skewers to start then roll into a main dish. For skewers, the scallops are my top recommendation, however, the lamp chop was tasty as well. I went with the beef meal dish. It came with a bunch of little plates, a salad, and soup. Nothing included was overwhelmingly good but nothing significantly missed its mark either. No worries if you under order as you can always get a few additions as you enjoy.

This place is incredible! Found it in Las Vegas as it was recommended highly! The rolls are amazing! The sashimi is especially delicious! Melts in your mouth and is buttery smooth! Even my seven-year-old, who usually just gets a California roll, love the dragon roll and the sashimi! Especially the tuna and salmon! read more

We were looking for a late night spot to eat. I did a quick search online and Izakaya Go came up as a popular destination. We arrived for a late night dinner on a Thursday night recently. This Japanese spot is located in a nice plaza area close to Palms Casino, Rio Casino, and Chinatown. Parking is available in the medium size parking lot outside. The restaurant is moderate size but cozy. The traditional Japanese decor is inviting and gives off a family friendly local spot vibe. There are a lot of booths and tables available for dine in. Our party sat in a zataku where we had to take off our shoes. I thought that was a nice touch. We ordered a bunch of items from both the happy hour menu and regular menu. Everything was delicious and high quality. Some of the stand out dishes were the half ramens, salmon hand roll, spicy hand roll, fried oyster, caterpillar roll, and the CA rolls. Half ramens were so flavorful and such a good value. We enjoyed the sushi very much as they were very tasty and authentic. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Izakaya Go. Happy hour menu from 10:00pm to close is such a great value. The staff were so friendly, attentive, and accommodating. Extra kudos to our server Mimi and Ernest for being from the Bay where we're from as well. The atmosphere was great. We will definitely be back when we are in town again. read more
Staff here are very friendly and service is quick! We ordered several dishes to try but its worth noting is their Sea Urchin Cream Pasta and Blue Crab Shishito Fritters! Also the Scallops yakitori skewers were delicious and Fried Softshell Crab and Grilled Shishito Peppers! Skip the Eggplant [1st on the menu] it was tough, spongey and inedible for us. Everything else was delicious! Can't forget the Kalbi Ribs and Corn - those were really good! Space is tight, small and loud - typical Izakaya ambiance. Not as accessible for mobility scooters. read more
We liked the vibe here. It was a fun experience. The service was nice, but the place wasn't as clean as we hoped it to be. They had flip flops laying all over the floor and trash that they didn't care to sweep up. The food itself was above average. There were a few items that were not good, but there were some that were great. I do think certain items were a bit overpriced for what it was. The octopus was a bit on the saltier side and the beef tataki was super sour. The grilled meats came out cold and a bit flavorless so we asked for more of the sauce on the side. I recommend this place if you're up for the experience. If you're looking to get the bang for your buck with the satisfaction of a full meal, this is not the place. read more

tl;dr: The uni pasta alone is worth coming back for. Izakaya Go initially felt like one of those non-Japanese-owned izakayas that try too hard, including staff yelling sloppy Japanese for effect. If you have to say you are Japanese you probably aren't, the way really great restaurants don't have to say they are rated the best. That said, the owner is actually Japanese lol! Also he did so well from the Vegas location that he even opened a second location in Little Tokyo in DTLA. Crazy to open up in Cali with all that red tape. The food felt authentic and reminded me of a mix between Kiraku in Berkeley and Ichiza on Spring Mountain. Most dishes were solid, but the yakitori was weaker than expected. The chicken breast with plum sauce was very dry, and we had to ask for yuzu kosho to make it edible. The table we were seated at was also wobbly. But remember that uni pasta? On point with the sauce not being overly creamy. Overall, I'd say go to Izakaya Go. Solid izakaya, and that uni pasta is the reason to return. read more

On my way to visit family in Las Vegas, we decided to stop here for dinner. We arrived on a Friday night around 10:30 PM, and the place was very busy. Fortunately, the wait was only about 10 minutes, which was surprisingly quick. I ordered the soft-shell crab, baked green mussels, and BBQ ribs with steamed rice. My son ordered the yoshu ramen and fried rice. The food came out fairly quickly, but I noticed that the baked mussels never arrived. When I asked our waitress about it, she said the kitchen was backed up. However, after waiting more than 30 minutes and already finishing the rest of our meal, it felt like the order may have simply been forgotten. What disappointed me most was the lack of an apology. The waitress even asked if I still wanted the mussels at that point. I was ready to cancel the order, but Kyo stepped in and tried to make things right. Thanks to his efforts, the mussels arrived about 10 minutes later. Unfortunately, when the mussels finally arrived, I was disappointed again. They were prepared very differently from the baked green mussels I'm used to getting at restaurants in Los Angeles. They were quite spicy, which wasn't mentioned, and the flavor just wasn't what I expected. After waiting more than 40 minutes for them, they definitely weren't worth the wait. Overall, the food was decent, and the restaurant was busy and energetic, but the service mishap and the disappointing mussels left me with mixed feelings about the experience. I do appreciate Kyo's effort to make things right, as he was the one bright spot in an otherwise frustrating situation. read more

This is a fun place for a late night snack. We got to this place around midnight or so and it was still full of people. The staff welcomed is as we walked in and seated us right away. We ordered off their happy hour menu and you can't beat their prices. We ordered so many dishes I couldn't name them all. I was only able to get a picture the dishes that were placed in front me. Tip: show up early, this is a small place and can get crowded very easily. Or you can make a reservation. But give this place a try. The staff is friendly and really thorough with your orders. read more
We weren't too hungry so we just tried their signature un pasta and a tempura set. They have different kinds of sauces on the table which is a huge plus, but I'd like them to add tempura sauce along with the others cuz in the end I ran out of if. Their uni pasta doesn't look the best but is pretty creamy and full of umami, definitely a great place for Japanese style pasta. Friends that are local suggested this spot. Cozy vibes and delicious food ahead: Truffle corn was addictive. Salmon roll I forgot the name of was tasty, but not super memorable. Sashimi was fresh, but slices were a little thin. Karage was a highlight and a must order. I'm not even a big fried chicken person, but the crunch was perfect. Beef udon was comfort in a bowl. Okonomiyaki was a little over sauces so the sauce did drown out the flavor to make it a bit one note. Despite some slight misses, it's a huge menu with something for everyone. When I'm in town next, I'll make sure to go back. A great visit for some more comforting Japanese food for when you want an option outside of the bougie places on the strip. read more
This review is for their Happy Hour. Landed in Vegas around 9pm and was starving, so had to find a late night spot with good food and good drinks. There's nothing better than going to an Izakaya to decompress after a long work week. Fortunately, this spot is opened till 3am and there's a happy hour menu that begins at 10pm. What a deal! You can get Toro sashimi at a very affordable price. Late night satisfaction! Sushi to cap off a long day and it was fantastic. Found this spot open late with a great menu. Happy hour options, unique items, variety galaore...100% yes! The service was also great! They were busy and almost every seat filled, but food came out fast, we were checked in on regularly and we more than satisfied. Located in a small shopping center, parking was rather full but we found a space quickly (probably since the other businesses were closed at the time). I'm keeping this spot saved for future Vegas visits. Can't go wrong with late night fresh sushi! Yum!! read more
This is my second visit. First time there, I was amazed how delicious their Uni pasta! However this time around, the Uni pasta tasted different. It's not as rich / creamy and tasted a bit too sweet. We asked the waitress and yes, they've changed their sauce. Please change it back!!! Everything is great! Service is awesome! read more
Came in around 945pm with my boyfriend and was seated at the counter immediately. The servers here are really nice and the vibes are very cozy. Prices are very reasonable, especially during Happy Hour which is 10pm to close. The breaded oysters were great. I loved the Bluefin toro cut roll. Will come back again! read more

Love that this place has a late night happy hour starting from 10 pm - closing, that's probably the only times I've been here as it's a perfect late night snack. They have a bunch of tvs showing all the sports game you can think of so this would be a great spot if you're wanting to eat, drink, and watch some games. Two of my favorite things here are the Chazuke w/spicy roe cod and the Bluefin Toro Roll. The Chazuke is so comforting, you really can't go wrong with rice and broth, and the toro here is super fresh! The half ramen is also a good deal for happy hour. I don't think there's anything that I've tried that I don't like! This place can get pretty busy even if you're coming late, especially on a weekend, but I'm not surprised as I can see why they are so popular. Their menu has a good different variety of dishes between light and heavier bites, and I look forward to coming here whenever I'm in Vegas! read more

We had dinner there tonight and when we went there we waited for five minutes to get seated. It was packed it must be very popular. The restaurant is tiny compared to other Izakayas. We ordered a lot tonight we ordered spider roll, That was very good. We also ordered GYOZA and it was very good as well. We ordered chicken skewer that was a little salty and dry and then also chicken liver skewer, They were very good. Also part of our order was the Guard spinach. I thought it was OK like so so and then I ordered tempura dinner plate. The plate was huge and it consists of miso soup and then the tempura, shrimp and vegetables, and also some pickled vegetables. They were not bad at all, but my husband said that the shrimp tempura was a little soggy and the taste nothing special compared to other restaurants. It was very noisy tonight and there's not really a privacy with your conversation. Table next to you can hear what you're saying and there's some people who are drunk and then they just kept talking loudly. It was annoying. The white staff were very attentive and they clear your table promptly. read more

Love the vibe of this place. We called ahead and snagged a reservation on a Saturday evening for 11 people, and it worked out perfectly. The atmosphere inside really does give you that authentic izakaya feel--lively, cozy, and welcoming. The yakitori was amazing--I wish I'd ordered more. But the dish that stuck with me was the tonkatsu dinner. The pork was juicy, the crust had that perfect crunch, and the portions were generous. It came with salad, gyoza, tofu, macaroni salad, daikon, and rice--such a well-rounded plate. The yaki soba was also a big hit at the table--lots of flavor and one of those dishes that disappeared quickly. Starters were on point too. The spicy tuna cracker was a hit for me, though the crispy rice leaned a little too hard. Still, the flavor carried it through. Service was excellent. We didn't give ourselves much time before a show, but the team was accommodating and kept us on track without rushing us. Pro tip: if you're sitting at one of the larger tables, you'll be asked to remove your shoes. Totally fine for us, but something to keep in mind--you might want to bring socks if you prefer not to go barefoot. The whole group walked out happy, and we'll definitely be back next time we're in town. read more
Needed a dinner that wasn't going to take me 2+ hours to complete so headed (just) off the strip to this little "Japanese tapas" restaurant that is more a sushi spot than anything else, which I was more than fine with. Straightforward good sushi (heavy on the "crunch" though I didn't mind), fast service (because I sat at the sushi bar) and was in and out in under 45 minutes, which was all I could ask for. read more
We really wanted Izakaya tonight and we found Izakaya Go on Yelp with good reviews. We were very hungry so my husband ordered a few dishes right away- corn, fried pork, squid legs, hamachi carpaccio, and chazuke. Everything was pretty good but we may skip the squid legs next time. I also ordered a few skewers, but I didn't think the chicken thighs looked good and the wings were just ok. I enjoyed the gizzards only. Next time we may have to just order the dishes and not get the skewers. read more

Food Quality: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Value: 5/5 Don't skip on: The Yakitori! My fav was the lamb chop (not on a stick) First time trying Izakaya Go and it was delicious! We didn't have reservations (definitely recommended if you don't want to wait too long), but the wait wasn't too terrible. Not a lot of space to wait inside if you're in the waiting area due to an abundance of chairs in the corner, but you can also wait outside if it's too crowded. When we sat down, the servers were very nice, quick, and efficient! We ordered several different sticks of Yakitori, agedashi mochi, uni Pasta, pork cheek, truffle butter corn, buta kaku, and a chutoro sushi roll to share. Everything came out fast and delicious!! Our waters were constantly refilled - extra point for that! The lamb chops were the most memorable with - delicious smoky flavor and cooked perfect. The menu is extensive and there is a lot more to try. Can't wait to go back! read more

Went for the late night happy hour and the service was...unfortunately not good. I was really excited to try the menu, and we went with a small group of 3. The ambiance is a cute little Asian shop style. Its a low light ambiance. The menu was huge, but we opted for small plates. Tapas style. Crispy rice was good, a bit too creamy. Oysters were good, I loved the ponzu sauce. The blue crab handroll was my favorite, good rice to crab ratio. Spicy Salmon was meh. Overall, it was okay, not amazing, but not terrible read more

We picked up food a few weeks ago. They have a few other specials besides the different bento boxes. My parents loved the salmon bento and the pork bento boxes. Said each one was enough for 2 meals.
Do they have horumon (intestines)?
They have internal organs are only Heart, Liver, Gizzard.
Do i need to make a reservation for Saturday night dinner?
You might get lucky without one but it will be busy so it's best to make a reservation to prevent waiting for a table. It's a cozy place with delicious food, worth the reservation or the wait ;)
