We discussed the car and clearly agreed on a price, and he confirmed it was good for purchase that day. I trusted a man's word - thought that still meant something these days - so I drove 5 hours to buy it, paying for gas, tolls, and losing a full day. I've had my car for a year and two months granted with no issues up until now. I'm in need of a transmission and the car salesman that sold me the car is not responding to my text messages. I've called him and he doesn't answer or says he's busy and then when I told him that he sold me a car where in a year and two months later brought me back into the same situation that I came to him in and I needed him to give me alternatives to help me fix this issue because I'm now AGAIN paying a car note on a car that is not going to be able to drive soon and it's all because you sold me a car that you knew wasn't gonna last past a year. I unfortunately did not get the warranty on this car but still it doesn't make sense that he is being rude and not returning text messages or calls now that he knows that he sold me a lemon where the previous owner did not stay on top of the maintenance. He knows that I don't have warranty.so he just says there's nothing that he can do. I was referring people to him but now reading all of the reviews I should've stayed away from him please anyone else that read these reviews. At first glance, these cars aren't too bad. Some vehicles are obviously cleaner than others, but maintained? No. This lot is fairly small, but that's not the issue. It's when you want to look at a vehicle that's blocked in by other vehicles and they all need to tag team to move vehicles. Some that need to be jump started, some having a flat tire. When I tell you the maintenance of these vehicles aren't up to par, I mean it. After testing driving one vehicle, I noticed the alignment was off, the screen didn't work, the taillights were cracked and had condensation in them. We had told them, if they get an alignment and fix the screen- we'd think about it. They told us to give them an hour. We left to another dealership, got coffee and came back. After an hour and a half, they finally came back from the alignment, but the screen still wasn't fixed. A paper on the dash said the alignment was completed, but after test driving it- the alignment was even worse than what I had originally tested. Once we arrived back in the lot, I kept telling my family that the poor alignment didn't sit right with me. Without saying anything, I was pointing to the cracked tail light to my step mom. The guy gas lighted me and said it was a small crack and there's no water in it. I'm not one to filter my face and I said there's condensation all inside. A guy took the radio from a different vehicle and the tail light and switched it into the one I was looking at. Guess what happened when they switched the tail light- LOTS of water spilled out. The guy who switched the radio, didn't even plug the AC back in. At this point, I was getting fed up with how awfully maintained that vehicle was. When I was sitting in the drivers seat, trying to adjust the time on the vehicle (still thinking if it's a yes or no on this vehicle) the guy came inside and while taking a picture of a sticker said, "You like this car?" I replied "mmm" he said, "You tell me if you like it or not because if not you can leave. Me and my guy did too much work for you." First: If these vehicles were maintained a little bit better- these wouldn't be issues. Even if I say "NO" the work you put in, will be better fit for the next person who wants to buy that vehicle. Since YOU claim your white vehicles go FAST. Don't you guys inspect these vehicles BEFORE putting a price tag? Second: The audacity this man had to say this to me as my family had already WALKED away. Didn't want to say this in front of my dad, stepmom, half brother, grandma and 9 month old baby? Third: We had never discussed "yes we're buying this vehicle, fix IT." We discussed major issues because we live two hours away and maybe we'll consider it. Honestly, if that dude could've kept his mouth shut and treat his customers with RESPECT, we could've had a sale today. Personally, if you are capable of being rude to me- I'm not going to spend any money on you. I told my step mom that it's a NO for me and as we tried to leave the guy walked out too. I can't remember everything he said because I knew he was going to continue being an asshole, but he said that we wasted their time, they went out of their way to "fix" the vehicle, we're shitty people, and it's Ramadan. Then he said, "I'm sorry." I said out loud, " how the fuck can you talk shit and then say, "I'm sorry?. My family and I walked away as he continued to talk. I understand that you aren't going to find top tier cars at third party dealers, especially used vehicles. But I do know, there is a standard on inspecting vehicles that come in and reporting them. Car sales people are very pushy when it comes to that sale, but being rude isn't a trait you should carry. At the end of the day, I WOULD NOT recommend this place. I've purchased 2 vehicles from Mike in the past 5 years. there's been no issues with either vehicle since the time that I've purchased them, and if there was one, he would do what he needs to, to make sure everything is ironed out and smooth by the time it's all said and done. I do gigwork(Uber, D.D, etc..) so I put a lot of ware and miles on the car and all of his vehicles have held up to anything I've put them through such as multiple trips to the East Coast, winters in those states, and of course ride share, he's always been honest and kept everything legitimate unlike other dealers I have bought from in the local area(ex; mgi, they're not even in business anymore). I needed a car asap because a red light runner smashed mine and totaled it. I saw the car in the photo looked really nice. But this guy (Mike) is really really shifty. The very first time i called we talked about shipping and he said he would ship at no extra charge bc tgat was in the ad, and he had a delivery to Bill Wright Toyota in Bakersfield anyway. So i signed paper electronically to buy the car wo even a test drive or inspection. I sent the guy a 1$ test transfer b4 sending $11,000 which i couldn't get back if something went wrong. But then he kept changing his stories about shipping. He even claimed that he "called" car gurus and they told that was only for shipping within 50 miles -- which is a lie bc u can see the ad for yourself. On top of flip flopping over 250 bucks, he was unresponsive, didn't return messages for days and then he blamed ramadan and a problem with his digestion from eating too much fiber as to why he didn't return messages. I don't trust this dude at all. Either he doesnt have the car and was gonna just take my money, or maybe he got a higher offer after contracting to sell to me. But bottom line is he threw away an all cash, sight unseen car deal bc he was too cheap to pay for the shipping that the ad clearly says is included in the price. Save yourself a headache and wasted time. Don't believe this dude and go somewhere else. I'm an attorney and not just some joker causing problems.
