It's dotted with exercise equipment, benches and covered picnic tables. It connects to a rugged trail along a fence toward a washout/open area. It also connects to a cemented path around the grass fields. Lots of parking. There are toilets. Playground. Not too much shade. Lots of people walking their dogs. Lots of families enjoying the grass field.

The one downfall of this park is that it's across the street from a high school school. As soon as the high school got out, this park was filled with older kids playing on stuff that is obviously made for small children, almost knocking kids over, and being a little too free with the language. I'm not a prude, but c'mon you can't hold off on the F-bombs for a few minutes? Still a great playground with a lot of things to do and plenty of disable parking spots.

I won't go in there if there are other people and children around. My dogs are trained. I watch many people bring their dogs off leash in the splash pad with no repercussions. But the second I step foot on the pad with my dogs, in an empty park, here comes the security truck driving up to tell me to put my dogs on leash. They have specifically targeted me. I'm pretty sure it's because I have been vocal about it. I've been in the park literally alone with not a single soul in sight, my dogs by my side while I dry them off, and here comes security. I told them that they must be so bored in their day to send someone to drive all the way out there in 115 degree weather, in an empty park to tell one soul person to put their dogs on leash. Today I watched as 2 peope bring their dogs unto the spash pad, off leash for a good while and left. One oerson's dog wasnt even wearing a collar. I went unto to the splash pad after them for no more than 2 minutes. And like clockwork, here comes security driving in to harass me. If you're going to enforce the rules then enforce it for everyone. At this point I am being targeted and discrimated against. Yeah, I'm black too so what does that tell you.

They have restrooms, water fountains, two full tennis courts, a basketball court, Big and little kid playground areas, swing sets, a large properly maintenance grass field where lots of kids have been known to practice soccer in. They also have a fitness area as well as a jogging path that I've had the pleasure of using to burn off those pesky calories. Lastly, they have one gazebo area as well as a frequently visited ice cream truck. Hence the reason to burn off those calories, lol.

Then I emailed the mgr to 'cc' Dist A Comm says they cannot restrict from morning pickleball classes which is like 1045 am to 12 pm when I just get there for the 12-130 open play. This is NOT FAIR to all of us who didn't come to play the morning pickleball classes. They only go for the ones who are morning people and don't care about everyone else.

There are grassy areas where you can spread out a blanket, set up chairs, and relax while keeping an eye on your kids. There are also a few picnic tables available for seating. The shaded areas are especially nice during the Vegas heat. One downside was that the sprinklers in the grassy area turned on around 11:30 a.m. while people were still sitting there. It would make more sense to run them when the splash pad is closed or when fewer visitors are around. Overall, it's a great place for families and a fun way for kids to cool off.
