Best burger in Birmingham!! Yes that is a bold statement, but I stand by it…read more The burgers here are LEGIT. And they are consistently GOOD. We eat here A LOT. Probably 3-4 times a month with our family of 5. We've likely had everything on the menu. And it's all just really very good. Literally all of it. I'm a big foodie, so I don't just throw around this kind of truth . It's rare that a restaurant is consistent in the food quality, but The Ridge has it. It has that old school "Cheers" kind of vibe. They remember names, they make jokes, they have fun- the staff is just fantastic. It's why you see a lot of the same customers in there on a Friday night. The draft beer selection changes frequently and there's always a lot of good choices. The fries recently changed and they are fried potato PERFECTION. But the fries before that were also excellent (and so were the fries before that ) If you want good food, this is where you go! Our favorites: The Rebel Yell The Ridgeline Flank Steak Salad, sliced thin Cahaba King Jam Gouda burger (also try it with chicken) Nashville hot fingers Fried fish tacos

I certainly took advantage of the $5 mimosas. For starters, I ordered a side of brussel sprouts. OMGGg , these were some of the best ever!!! I loved the crispiness and the garlic flavor was sensational! Highly recommend. I didn't want brunch food so I ordered just a regular medium well burger (no mayo) and tator tots for my side. The patty was chargrilled and very juicy. I would order medium next time. All their burgers come dressed with lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions. I added bacon. Very fresh toppings to complete this delicious burger with a soft , warm bun. Soo good!!! The tots are perfectly browned and potato-y inside. Simplistically delicious. The vibe here is that of a sports bar but still very much family friendly. There is a private parking lot. The Ridge is located upstairs of the shopping complex it's located. There is also a small outdoor seating area. If you haven't visited the Ridge yet, GO!

Farrelleys for my birthday dinner!!…read more We've been here several times and have never been disappointed! They have an amazing happy hour from 4-6. I got a marg ($8) and the baked pimento cheese dip to start - served with pita. ($7) I loved my pan seared scallops with grits and broccolini. The cranberry bacon "jam" really adds so much flavor and create the perfect bite when you add all components together. ($34) Dad and David got the meatloaf and loved. It comes with house made BBQ, potatoes and broccolini. ($28) Perfect for when you want to go to an upscale meal but still have to make your man happy - this is literally a "meat and potatoes" dish. Mom got the Paneed chicken with brown butter sauce, mashed potatoes and spinach. She had no complaints! ($28) Service was very friendly and parking was no issue at all! This is a perfect place for a big group because there's something for everyone. It's casual, comfortable but still feels on the upscale side of things. We will be back!

I was very surprised to learn that they sell soda by the bottle and about a 16 ounce soda is three dollars apiece which I found to be a little overpriced. So if you go there and like soda be expected to pay three dollars a bottle which honestly makes me not want to go back. We were there during happy hour, and we got spinach, dip, and Parmesan fries with garlic aïoli, which was delicious. They used to charge for the bread, but we got two servings and didn't have to pay for the second one. Our server, Tyler W was very attentive. Our drinks stayed full and he did recommend some dishes. I got the chicken Parmesan and it was delicious. A very good serving and I brought some of it home. I got the brookie as a dessert and that was equally delicious. Happy hour is from 4 PM to 5:30 pm during the week. The bathrooms were very clean as was the dining area. When you walk in, they do have some ready-made food for you to bring home and also some salad dressings. We sat by the window, which was very nice. If I do go back, I'll probably just stick with water or sweet tea.

A true hidden gem right off Highway 280…read more Let me just say--this place is absolutely beautiful. From the ambiance to the staff, everything felt elevated from the moment we walked in. We made reservations for Bae's birthday dinner, and they welcomed us with a handwritten card signed by the entire staff... such a thoughtful touch that really set the tone for the night. Now let's get into the food To start, I had the Charred Grapefruit Martini--perfection. Smooth, refreshing, and just the right balance. We ordered the Butter Crab Sushi and Lobster Bisque to kick things off, and both were incredible. For our entrées, we went with the Steak Frites (with a little switch-up on the sides), and baby... nothing missed. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully presented. This is one of those places where you can confidently order anything on the menu. 10/10 experience--don't forget to tip generously, the staff truly deserves it!

Traffic can be heavy on 280 during rush hour. There's adequate parking with beautiful foliage and an attractive outdoor waiting area. This location has been there almost 10 years and their decor is still simple and contemporary. There's two large dining rooms separated by an open bar. They do take reservations and with a dinner reservation, we were seated quickly. By the time we were leaving, the restaurant had filled with guests waiting to be seated for a bustling Thursday evening. In addition to their specials, there's a nice variety to their menu with steaks, chicken and fish dishes. We got the Spinach and Artichoke dip appetizer which arrived quickly. The dip had good flavor. The chips were good, but I wasn't that impressed with the salsa. Tammy and I split a caesar salad so they served it in separate bowls. The salad also had a nice flavor and on par. Chase tried the short rib. Presentation was outstanding. It was served with two onion rings and mashed potatoes. There wasn't anything left on his plate when he was done. Tammy tried the crab cakes. It was served with a large mass of skinny fries. I stole a bite and the crab cakes were outstanding. Yom Yom Yom Yom. I ordered the Fish & Chips which arrived on an extra large plate with about seven strips of cod coated and deep fried next to another large mass of string fries with room for slaw. The fries were perfect. The mayonnaise based slaw was creamy, tangy and even a little sweet. It was outstanding and one of the best slaws I've ever had! Yom Yom Yom Yom. The cod was also good but I thought it was a little heavy on the batter. Since I love a good tartar sauce, I have to give a shoutout for their homemade tartar sauce. We saved room for dessert and their bread pudding and pizookie with vanilla ice cream was so rich, it raised my A1c a couple of points! Service was outstanding. Our waiter checked on us regularly and our glasses of water were constantly topped off even as the restaurant filled with more patrons. I would return just to try their snapper, salmon, trout or filet. Keep in mind, their price point is higher than most but this is their level of service and they do it well.
