Today is May 16th 2018 at 10:45-11:00am Over an hour late to open? Nothing posted. I am disappointed with this location. Hours of operation are not followed. Looks like they have changed their hours on the window 5 times. And then just decided to tape....yes tape a piece of paper with crazy hours of operation over the old hours. Word of advice; If your going to open and run a BUSINESS you should open the hours you post on the door and online!! Unprofessional. Respect your customers and they will respect you!!! Tried calling the location. Rings and rings and then it auto directs you to the location off of he I17. O and they don't answer also. And no hours of operation on the phone. These are the reasons why these "little" gun stores don't stick around. I would like to support the little shops more than the BIG guys but I mean come on! I will never return. As one of the places on Yelp decently rated selling firearms I went in looking to purchase an M&P Shield or an LC9. I went mid week, mid day and there was one person there sitting at the computer. It took him a while to acknowledge me and seemed very reluctant to be there. I asked him if he was the owner - "No". Thankfully not so he can be replaced at some point with a person that cares about the customer. He had a condescending attitude, did not make eye contact and treated me as if I was inconveniencing his personal life. I had visited several shops and Shooter's Vault had the lowest price on the Shield at the time. Although I did not wish to support the business due to lackluster customer service I did purchase the gun there to save a few bucks. I emailed their headquarters about my experience and never heard back. My mistake. Shooter's Vault will not be getting any more of my business. read more

Great little location for guns, ammo, and accessories. It is brand new and right next to the Streets of NY on 19th Avenue and Happy Valley. The place does not seem like it is ever packed even with all the talk of gun control. There was also TONS of guns to choose from. Their prices seemed a little high but that may have more to do with the Sandy Hook shooting. The guy behind the counter was very helpful and was eager to take his time to show me what I was looking for. He also educates you and when it comes to naive people like me it was very helpful. I would definitely go back and the most important thing was that he had target ammo for sale which is rare right now if you have been to Cabelas or Bass Pro or even Sportsman's. So I bought 2 boxes of 9mm target rounds and a gun cleaner for my Springfield handgun. read more

I had a good experience here. I suppose my perspective as a customer is a little different; I don't really need to ask a ton of questions, I don't care about handling a bunch of shit from behind the counter, and I'm not really interested in firearms (but I understand they are essential in a Wild West state). I knew what I wanted and I just had to find it locally. Stopped in on a whim while on my way to see a movie at Norterra. Was searching for an FNX-9, which had proven to be a pain in the ass. They had one. The price was OK, about what I've seen online and from other retailers. Pretty much all I needed to be satisfied. Good selection of rifles, shotguns and handguns. They also had a lot of accessories and magazines, but the markup was considerably more than the internet. Understandable given they are a small local retailer, but no way I'm paying more than $60 for an already overpriced FN magazine. The guy working there was nice, courteous and processed all the paperwork pretty quickly. Answered the few questions I had, and got me on my way in time to make the flick. If I ever had the desire to buy a gun in the future, I would likely give them a try again if I were in the area. read more

I went in to have a gun shipped here. I always buy local but this particular gun was difficult to find. I had to have it shipped from out of state. Anyway, the guy was really rude and short with me. He had another customer waiting so I figured that was it. I left but then after getting in my car I saw that the other customer was leaving so I returned. The store was empty now so I figured he would be more accommodating. Nope. Still very brief, rude. Not willing to fax the FFL or call the dealer I was purchasing from. I left and called Bear Arms. They were happy to take my $45 to send a fax and call me when a box arrives. This guy was young. I've been to the other location and purchased a gun and accessories and the 2 guys at that location were very helpful and spent some time with me helping me make a decision on which gun to buy. I went in to this location a few weeks ago to purchase a firearm. There were two people working and one was helping a customer. The other salesperson was sitting at a computer near the front of the store and never acknowledged me. After about 10-15 minutes of patiently waiting the salesperson helping another customer said someone would be with me in a few minutes. After another 5-10 minutes the person working on the computer looked up and asked what I needed. I explained I wanted to see a particular firearm and it was only at this point he decided to get up and walk over to the case and show me what I was looking for. I asked a few questions and looked at a few firearms and the whole time he was short, somewhat condescending (this would be my first handgun) and very unhelpful. It almost felt as though he didn't want to help and wanted me out of the store. I had made up my mind regarding what I wanted but didn't want to give him my business so left. Immediately following this I called around and found out that the Shooter's world on Greenway had the same firearm in stock so I decided to drive that direction. There other location had more salespeople and a lot more inventory. I had an GREAT experience working with them and ended up buying the firearm at that location the same day. Well worth the drive as the customer service there was top notch. Big thumbs down for the Shooter's Vault on Happy Valley. I go as often as I can. Every single time I go the same sales rep is there. Joe is his name. He's never helpful. He acts put upon. I've been in there while multiple customers. He was friendly and accommodating to others. I don't know if the fact I am a younger guy or what it may be. But rude rude rude is all I get. Now as I said I have witnessed him treating other with respect but when it comes to myself. I must just bother him. I do love the store and the few times I've had other reps help me it's great! I'm hoping maybe he can learn from the other and treat everyone with respect. This place is hit or miss on the customer service. The last time I went in there to buy some ammo and get night sights. The gentleman was very slow to help me with anything. He told me I could order the night sights online or purchase them at another one of their stores. He didnt bother to call them and see if they had them in stock but assured me they "usually" have more of that stuff. He was very knowledgeable about the product but lacked the drive to go above and beyond. It is nice that I can rely on them to always have the ammo I need. read more

Just like some other reviews I just read I agree. There are a couple guys working in there that were awesome. Super helpful. Eager to assist me with looking at some guns. I work very close and was looking for nothing really just trying to see what I might want to get next. Happy valley shooters vault has made a complete 180 to me. Come to find out my wife bought some really nice grips for my 1911 recently and she told me they were very friendly and took the time to help her. So good job keep it up. :) read more

i have gone in there a few times, they have a decent selection of stuff but no surplus guns or parts. Their selection of ar15 parts and accessories is great but thats about it. Another good thing is they carry galco stuff. Out of the few times i have been their, only once have i felt they were happy i was spending my hard earned money there. read more

Nope won't go back. I needed to ship a firearm to San Antonio and this place was close to home. I called about shipping and was given a quote. I went in on a Saturday and was told the gun would be packaged and sent out on Monday. I was promised a tracking number later that day. I called on Monday and asked about the tracking number. I was told the gun was packaged but they were having computer issues and could not get a tracking number but I would be given one by the end of the day. That did not happen and I called on Tuesday and was told the gun was ready to be packaged and would ship today and arrive on Thursday. What? Who lied here? I was told it was packaged. Bottom line is it did not go out on Tuesday and will not arrive until Monday. Lies and bad service. read more

I have not been to the store on greenway rd, but I can tell you right now, don't waste your time or spend your money at the happy valley store. I am always looking for a good deal on hand guns. I have a nice collection. I saw over priced guns and very rude sales people...especially the 'bearded tactical Timmy' who mostly sits at the front desk and scrutinizes the potential customers who walk in. This particular day, I was looking to purchase a beretta 92 F. I saw them in sportsmanship warehouse several days prior, for less than 550.00 . Shooters vault was asking 650.00. I was getting a flat fixed at big o tires next door and thought I would check them out. The only reason I was in there. I said that I thought the price was a little high, and said I would purchase the gun if he would negotiate a little better price with me. I told him the gun was almost a c note less at sportsmans and maybe he could throw in a couple boxes of ammo or something to sweeten the deal. He said that they don't buy guns by the pallet like sportsmans does and their prices are firm, if I didn't like it. Go buy it somewhere else...so I did..I also went in there several weeks later looking for a holster and was treated like I was a burden and a nuisance...just turned and left. Will never go back there and tell my friends not to go there. SHOOTERS VAULT ON HAPPY VALLEY, YOU SUCK! I am new to yelp, I wrote the review above detailing an experience I had there over the summer. Today, 12-17-13, I was back at shooters vault to see if anything had changed.... What a difference! Two different people were working there and we're very attentive and helpful. I was looking for a holster for my GLOCK 30 and was assisted by a very friendly and knowledgeable associate. I purchased a Blackhawks leather holster and left the store and tried using it. I knew right away that it wasn't going to work for me. It rode way too high. I took the receipt and holster back and asked for a store credit and got it no problems at all. I ended up with a different blackhawks leather holster that I really like. I will be back to shooters vault to spend more money without a doubt. First impressions are everything, especially when it comes to firearms and accessories. We all know most of the time you can get the same thing cheaper online. However I don't mind paying a little extra to have it now. I asked the clerk if they ever get any Taurus pt111 in. Honestly I don't even think he knew what I was talking about because he said he hasn't seen one of them in a few years. That's funny because as soon as buds has a sale for 199.99 on these there gone over night. So I continue to look and I see a S&W sd9ve for 350!
