Sure, it's easy to rely on relatives or friends to drop you or pick up at LAX. We live in North Orange County, about 40 miles from LAX, but sometimes those friends or family can't do it. I've made a realization that if I'm going in a MAJOR vacation, that costs some $$$, that I want a guaranteed, professional ride to the airport, not some Prime Time Shuttle with 4 strangers, or sketchy Uber driver. Shooting Star may not be the cheapest, but they have either showed up early at my house for pick up, or waited late for me at LAX to clear Customs. Their drivers are kind, helpful, and thorough professionals. After a 11 hour flight back to LAX, I now realize it's worth it to have a company that sends me emails and text messages about my drivers arrival, and to have a reliable driver take my exhausted self home. We hired Shooting Star Liimousine service for our Granddaughter's 15th birthday, we couldn't have been more happy! Nine very happy, 15 year olds and grandma & grandpa piled into a beautiful, very clean (inside & out) white strrrreeeetccch limo. Great Service, Spot on time, Good Rates. I surprised my grandchildren with a limo ride to San Diego airport on our way to Disney World. They were so excited to ride in a limo. Stephen our driver was so nice and so professional. As a fairly new resident of Orange County (just over two years now) I've had the need to book extensive ground transport for our executive team on a very regular basis. I tried our company's then preferred vendor. Meh. I've always had great luck with business' I've found here, so I Yelped and stumbled across Shooting star....that was a year ago. Jan is my go to girl - amazing, concise, super-professional and ALWAYS prompt. This is saying a lot as the president of our company is SUPER picky, but he LOVES Shooting Star Limousine...and so do I because they always make me look good =) Please know we run the gamut on out transportation needs...airport shuttles, VIP transport to special events, and literally 70% of the time there are last minute changes (traveler is diverted to SNA instead of LAX, the exec's meetings or events ran long, etc.) but Jan and her crew of amazing drivers are always there for me. Nice to know I can depend on them 110% and at a fantastic price. As a side note: I feel kind of bad for the one 1 star review Jan got from D.B....I know she is SLAMMED with business and her non-response is VERY unusual. But sometimes we all make mistake. I'm wondering if this person ever tried calling instead of emailing for faster response?....or are they really just a D.B.? I'd give you 6 SHOOTING stars if I could - you guys rock! read more

Can't speak highly enough about this limo service. I hired them to take make my daughter 10th birthday special by getting a limo to cruise up and down PCH. They were so easy to work with, very polite, and had great communication in coordinating. Their pricing was great and I got exactly what was promised. The limo was like new, clean, and very comfortable. The driver was so kind to my daughter and her friends. The added free balloons to make her feel special was awesome too! I booked our August 27 wedding with Shooting Star after reading the phenemonial reviews on Yelp. I was not disappointed! We had a 10 person limousine pick my three bridesmaids, my mum and I up before our wedding. Janet was true to her word that this limo would be best accomodated for around six people! (Probably could have made it a comfy seven people, if needed.) 10 people would definitely be a tight fit Janet was extremely patient as my girls and I gathered our last minute bits together before we travelled to our wedding location. The drive was smooth and enjoyable; I just wish we had farther to travel so we could have enjoyed it for even longer ;-) Post reception, my husband and I were picked up in a sedan and driven back to our place. We had scheduled the pick up for 4:15, and they were right on time (4:10.) It would have been great if they could have been there just a little earlier - as we actually finished up at 4:00 - but I suppose that's our fault for giving us a bit of leeway. I'm super happy with the service we received and would definitely recommend! Note: I'm a former event planner, so I am SUPER organized and picky about paperwork, etc. Trust Janet and her team - they know what they're doing. Hired Shooting Star to bring a group of 7 from LAX to south orange county. They were friendly on the phone during the reservation and their price was better than a handful of other places I tried. By the time I stepped off the plane I already had a voicemail from Rick telling me he was ready and at the airport. He called me again before I had a chance to get back to him and arranged the spot to get me. The van was new and clean. Rick was a great driver. Jan was extremely courteous on the phone and although she wasn't able to offer us (a group of 16 late-twenties/early-thirties Halloween revelers) a limousine she thought outside the box and asked "are you just looking for a safe ride there?". When I replied yes, she offered us her 16 person shuttle van at an extremely reasonable price. The driver then picked us up on time and got us to our rager safely as advertised. We needed transportation to a memorial service for an elderly family friend who lived in Newport Beach, and based on Yelpers' reviews I gave Jan a call. Our experience with them could not have been more hassle-free; Jan organized all the logistics and emailed me a confirmation with details on when she'd need to be picked up, and the day of the trip Paul was unbelievably gracious and patient with our friend, who remarked afterward how she apparently talked his ear off most of the trip up from Newport to downtown Los Angeles (and back!). He warned us about traffic up to LA, nearly two hours to get up there. No thanks, he helped us pick a different location down south. My husband and I traveled overseas in April. We needed to get to LAX on time, but we also wanted a bit more comfort than offered in a standard shuttle. We had the absolute best service, and a smooth, relaxing ride. We arrived on time and rested. We were so happy that we had made the choice to use Shooting Star Limousine. On the return trip the logistics were a little disconcerting to us, because the couple we traveled with was arriving on a different airline at a slightly different time...and they were planning on riding home with us. Nevertheless, Shooting Star was there with placards bearing our name plus a big smile from the owner/driver AND our travel mates who had already been picked up.
