I shop here every week. The Deli precut lunch meat is horrible. They need to rename it to precut scraps. That is what it is. doesn't matter what I buy Cheese or meat. I find end cuts hidden the middle of it. one slice is thicker than the other an so on. So, I go back and talk to Managment oh we will do better they say nope still the same cuts it like they practice on precut before they move to counter help you. So, I stand in line for 30 to 60 mins waiting on the slowest people working behind the counter. can't win read more

I shop at Shoprite of West Berlin every week. I've been shopping there for about 16 years now. Never had a bad review until now. I have ordered from the bakery many times over those years and I have always been happy with my purchases. I wanted to order a cake for my dad's 79th birthday and I was told they needed 24 hours notice...first I've heard of this but that's okay. So I ask about cakes already made with butter cream frosting...the baker just pointed and I was trying to ask another question and she just pointed again. Came off rude to me. So I ended up just walking away and not buying a cake since she did not want to help me at all. I have been in customer service and she did not provide customer service at all. read more

A nice store with friendly staff. I went in there right to pick up a couple things before they closed and in my haste dropped $60 on the way out the door. An employee reported it to the manager and he reviewed the footage and got my phone number from my price plus and called me before I got home and told me to come back and get the money that I dropped. Also the cashiers are always very friendly. Karen will go out of her way to point out any deals that I might have missed or give a review of something . Best grocery store in South Jersey. read more

This is a very nice store. Lots of choices and fresh fruits and veggies. The ONLY reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because of the Deli. It doesn't matter what day or time of day you go, be prepared to wait........a long time. most of the time there only 2 people and they are slow. They need a manager there all the time or move people from other departments as the deli is the busiest place there. Whenever I go to Acme, there is NEVER a wait. I have been between jobs since Covid and got a job at SR. This SR of Berlin has been our Family store. I thought it would be a great place to work at. I thought I was getting along with the Staff. Everyone that knows me would say I am a nice person. I made my 1st mistake and that was asking "Karen" for her phone number. Next thing I find out that I am being fired because Kaaaaren felt uncomfortable around me. So, if I was a customer she wouldn't wait on me because I would make her feel uncomfortable. We won't be shopping there any more. I wonder how many more staff members or even management feel the same way. read more

We ordered our wedding flowers through the flower department! We had our doubts at first ordereing our wedding flowers from a shoprite but then we met Nansi. Nansi was so friendly and showed us her work. We instantly felt comfortable and decided to book with her! We showed her the exact flowers we wanted and she recreated them even better then we ever thought! She even delivered the flowers to the venue the day of so we had no worries what so ever. We found out last minute from our venue that we would neeed flowers to put on the cake and Nansi came through. The flowers were absolutely beautiful and very affordable! Thank you so much Nansi! Unfortunately in order to give a review I had to give at least 1 star but that is too high. Tried using the concierge service twice and here I are my experiences 1: ordered fresh asparagus and it was very old and I should have taken it back because I ended up throwing it in the trash. I requested on my second try to actually have a shopper who knew and ate the vegetables I ordered and not someone who didn't have a clue. 2: Second experience-husband picked up my order and although my order clearly showed the coupon code for free pick up it was conveniently forgotten and I was charged. I called and the math to charge the order was explained like this "we automatically charge $9.95 for the service but then we credit you $5.00 so you really only pay $4.95" My order was over $50 and I had the "free" coupon why was I charged? Quote "oh that was in error we will credit you on your next order" And since Hell hasn't frozen over I won't be back. I now shop at Walmart. I haven't shopped at ShopRite since. And I was spending about $800 per month so Hello Walmart and good bye ShopRite read more

This is what you get when you pick out a fresh piece of London Broil and have it ground by the butcher. Old switcharoo. 6 hours later when I go to use it, it looks like this in the center. He never ground the piece of me I picked out. He have me stale meat, and served it with a smile. This is a definite health issue. I went back with the meat, and was told the butcher had no idea what happened. Yea right. Got my 11.00 dollars back. You'll never see me in that place again!! read more

No stars for the Shop Rite Pharmacy in Berlin NJ. Beware when you think you can use the GoodRx App for a prescription. They do not accept the Good Rx on certain prescriptions. The Berlin ShopRite pharmacy's claim is that the GoodRx does not report any controlled scripts. I called the GoodRx and they said that is not true as there is always a paper trail when a coupon is submitted. What it is really all about is MONEY and apparently the pharmacy does not make enough money when a customer wants to use the Good Rx, so they push the narrative that they do not fill controlled scripts. Needless to say I would not use this pharmacy ever again. What a waste of my time. The two creatures working behind the counter were making snide remarks as I was speaking to the pharmacist about their policy. Both of them looked like they could use a good scrub job, the one acted like he had a broomstick up his ass and the other one had greasy, stringy hair hanging in his eyes. The pharmacist needed a haircut as well, looked like cotton candy, very distracting. Take your scripts elsewhere, they deserve to go out of business. read more

I am constantly amazed that the fire Marshal allows the Berlin shoprite to maintain that entrance overflowing with carts and items on sale. There is a small space to walk through and an even smaller entrance into the store. If there was ever a fire in the store no one will get out alive. read more

I just would like to let everyone know to stay AWAY from a extremely rude and nasty cashier with black hair baked Karen. She has been extremely rude on several occasions and blatantly ignored customers questions including my questions. When I spoke loudly to convey my request I was met with nasty looks, extremely rude comments made by her to my face!! Extremely disrespectful and rude no one especially not someone in customer service position has the right to tell someone else off about how they look and that was what was done to me today I tried to lodge a formal complaint but the lady at the customer courtesy just walk away and into the back room so I couldn't even larger formal complaint I am going to not give them my business anymore which is sad considering I spent over $1200 a month in that store!!!! I may not be a lot to most people but for my family of five it's extremely a lot for me considering with this stupid virus I have no job so it's really a shame that they treat their customers that way and they let that woman treat people like that and be rude and nasty and scream at customers like she did to me today!! The one star is only for the experience that I gave today. Today 9/22/22, I asked my husband to get 3 lbs of head on shrimp which he got at around 12pm. When I tried to clean and cook for my guest the next day, the shrimp was bad. So I called the see food department and asked do I need to bring the shrimp back to the store. He said no, you just need your receipt. Still I called customer service a d spoke with a lady( didn't tKe her name). She said the same that all I need receipt . When I went there she wanted to see the shrimp. Inspite of Manger on duty's agreement she said she needs to see the receipt. I had to come home and went back with the shrimp for only 21 dollars. I hate Sjoprite because of these type of people where manager seems to be poweless. It's not the store but the customer service girl who seems to be racial discretion not believing me. However I have been shopping at SR for 32 years and this is the 1st time I brought something to return. read more
