This is not typical beach shack burgers dogs and beers. Passion fruit mai tai might be the best I've ever had and I go to Hawaii regularly. The pineapple cream on top is so good and the tartness of the passion fruit balances everything. Had a burrito and some neighboring guests had burgers - we all thought the food was delicious and fresh. Considering beach shacks are usually on the pricey side anyway (for junk, and this was much better than typical) this is a breath of fresh air. read more

This is steps away from the sand right on the boardwalk of Huntington Beach, so you can go for a swim and then come right on in here and grab some food thats a lot better than some of the other options to eat right on the boardwalk. Came by on our bikes around 1 pm. Place is right off the sand and moderately busy at the time. We picked the couches which sunk in when seated. A server came to us to take our order. First time here! It's beautiful! I enjoy reviewing my local Huntington Beach, beachfront watering holes. Shor is an archetypal example. Idyllic! It is new and clean and fresh. It is right on the bike path in between the city and state beach. There is a little store for you beach essentials. There is the bar which is in my photo gallery (menu). There is the restaurant, which looks yummy. I was thirsty so I just had a Pepsi on ice. My friend popped into the store and came back with a delicious ice cream bar covered in crushed chocolate cookies crumbs! I should have snapped a photo but I forgot! The service was excellent, the table and chairs were comfortable, the view is spectacular. I recommend Shor with no hesitation! read more

My first time here, on the opening day of the beach season! First thing to note is that it's decidedly a different vibe than the other beach path joints. They're definitely aiming for a bit more of an upscale, less stumble and spill your beer on someone vibe. The patio has nice furnishings and the music is cool yacht rock. I was very pleased with my street corn fries and the "internal affair" cocktail. What I was less pleased with was the price and the plastic glasses and straws. For that price, I'd hope for a more durable and less polluting tableware. The menu is decent but could use a few veggie options. Service was attentive. Stopped by here with some friends as we were walking along the path on the beach. Saw this and grabbed a bite. Food was good and on point, we had drinks too and everyone loved all the food especially the Baja Burrito my friend had. Our server Amanda B kept our drinks full and was always nearby to help, excellent service. 5-Star! Staff always checked up on us - very courteous. Extremely impressed. The Shor Burger is amazing -- only warning though is that the dryness of the bun may remind you of any instance where you might have seen someone slip on the beach, and face plant, eating a mouthful of sand. Also, there was a very impressive and thriving succulent decoration on our table, and I wished that it could one day give the bun some lessons on how to retain water. No comment on Salmon Tacos. All I will say, is that I will only get crispy shrimp tacos. The batter is very good. I wish they would one day add more than 3 shrimp. The Fried Calamari is 100/10, one of the best I've ever had. And also one of the most expensive I've had. But worth it for the taste. Fries are hands down good. Amazing. I will make Shor to come back. read more

Loved this place. Was super slow because it was Tuesday after the holiday. Great seating with plenty of heating but all outdoor. Great view of the ocean. Service was on point with great suggestions. The tacos were great (shrimp was the best) and the burrito was my favorite. They melt cheese to the tortilla on the inside which was a first for me. Good news!!!!!They serve Starbucks coffee, though they aren't an official Starbucks location, so you won't find the full menu. They offer delicious, flavorful tacos that we really enjoyed. We have been Huntington Beach residents for a very long time, and we are also a member of Hyatt Loyalty Program. We were riding our bicycles on the boardwalk and decided to stop and have lunch at Shore since we had been wanting to try it. The place only had 5 different parties seated at 230 pm - we were told we could not sit at any of the shaded tables because there were only two of us. By the way, there were 5 empty shaded tables. Really great place to have lunch after getting in from a long day of travel. My kids loved it. The location is tough to beat, about 200 yards off the Pacific. Nice covered patio. Dog-friendly and there are even menu items for the dogs. 1. Spicy margarita was excellent and fresh tasting. 2. Chips are good and fresh, guacamole is very fresh and delicious, the salsa may be a bit spicy for kids but 3. Carne asada tacos came as a bit of a surprise to me, usually back home (Chicago) the meat is more chunky and the onions and cilantro are more the bulk of the flavor. Shor's carne asada is pulled beef, which threw me at first, but I quickly got over it once the other flavors and ingredients came into play. Delicious. Pricing is fair, we all ate well, my wife and I had a cocktail each. ~$100 for a family of 4 on a gorgeous beach is pretty reasonable. Will definitely be going back on this trip. 4/5 stars just because the kitchen was a bit slow. Our server was great though- the delay was more of a function of how busy it was when we ate lunch, more than it's a shot at the service. read more

We only stopped by to get drinks and beach watch for father's day for a bit, but it was a very enjoyable experience. You look right across at the ocean which is beautiful, service is amazing, drinks were also great with light music so it's easy to talk. Stopped by while at Huntington and thought it looked yum so decided to give it a try. It was very cute to sit outside to eat and our waitress was very kind. The food sadly was very hit or miss. The Shor burger was pretty good but for $18 it should have came with a side or something to make it feel worth the price. Same with the Loaded Elote Dog. Super delicious actually but for $15 it felt like it was missing something. And paying $15 for a hot dog and still being hungry outweighed the yumminess of it. We also ordered the Surfer Street Tacos (one shrimp and one carne asada). The shrimp was actually great but the carne asada sadly was not good at all. The flavor of the meat was odd and the texture wasn't my favorite. They were also VERY tiny. I know street tacos are not big but for $12 I was hoping for more. I left still hungry and wanting more. But my next option for 3 tacos was $18 which felt insane. Again if there were a side of rice or beans it would have felt more worth the price. Even then though the flavors just didn't do it for me. Lastly we ordered the Baja Coast Burrito with cod and sadly it was not good at all. I would go as far as to say it was bad. The flavors were weird and it just didn't mesh well. And again for $23 we felt like we got the short end of the stick. Small burrito with no sides. I know beach prices are higher and we expected that but we did not expect to leave feeling hungry and disappointed. If I could give 2.5 stars that is where I would land. 50/50 for half our food being okay and half being pretty bad. This seems like a place with a hit or miss menu which for the prices doesn't feel worth the risk. My suggestion is just go for drinks or skip this one altogether. This is a great little spot for seaside drinks and food. The staff was attentive and kept our drinks full. I definitely recommend the street corn fries and the teriyaki wings to start! The blackened salmon taco was amazing as was my husband's burger. We will revisit next time we're in Huntington Beach. read more

Stopped in on Sunday March 30th, 2025. It was not busy at all. Maybe 4 tables had people at them. Waitress came over, we asked for waters while we reviewed the menu. She never came back. After more than 10 minutes, she walked by to go to another table. Didn't even look at us. I stopped her and said we were in a time crunch, could we please place our order? She took our order and when I went to hand her back the menus, she angrily ripped them out of my hand. I asked if we could have the water we ordered 10 minutes prior and she was visibly angry. Why? It shouldn't take 10 minutes to get a cup of water when the place isn't even busy. I shouldn't have to beg for someone to take our order. As for pricing: The burger was 25 bucks and didn't include anything. Fries are an additional 7 dollars, so a burger and fries are 32 dollars? What? I had the flatbread ($13) and the sauce on there tasted like something I remember from a school lunch. Gross. This lovely waitress, although she didn't spend enough time to catch her name, is the one with her hands and fingers covered with old greenish tattoos and a red bandanna wrapped around her head Tupac style. Literally right in front of the beach and lots of seating so it makes going and dining at the beach so much easier! We've been here three times, great location. First time the service was slow, but we were patient because it was new. The second time was great, 7 of us had a nice time, ate, drank, enjoyed the atmosphere, good time. This time we were seated, but no one showed up to help us after that.
