Mega Surf and Turf taco (shrimp and carne asada) was amazing, and though it's priced at $11.35, it's a large taco! What I loved about these was the generous amount of flavorful protein. I also tried what I think was a quesa birria taco, and the crispy shell loaded with melty cheese and dripping with savory meat and consome was the epitome of an ultra satisfying combination. They have bottled salsa verde and salsa roja available, which were nice to try and use as needed. The ladies working there were friendly and knowledgeable, and I appreciated that there was a separate hand wash station outside the bathroom. Lots of free parking in the plaza. My first time there on "taco Tuesday" I ordered the breaded fish, taco Took one bite, no fish, just cabbage and sauce. Opened it up and there were four match size pieces of breading that were most likely cut from the piece of fish. Told the counter girl I would like some fish in my taco. She replied "that's how we serve it on this special day Taco Tuesday. Did not offer to give me a piece of fish, so I asked for my money back. Never going back again. read more

I don't know what happened to this place, but it certainly has gone downhill, don't know if it has a new owner, or a new cook. Came in for taquitos and I wanted a crispy Carnitas taco, which they couldn't accommodate with me with. They told me they cook all their crispy tacos in batches in the morning and if they did Carnitas, it would explode, so I certainly didn't want my Taco exploding on me so I ordered the softshell taco. The Carnitas was not crispy. It seemed like it been pressure cooked,and did not have much flavor, there was a large blob of fat embedded in the meat. The tortilla was very small and there was only one and it was sitting in around a large pool of oil. I decided not to eat it. The taquitos had a decent presentation. On the bed of shredded cabbage there was a very small amount sour cream, and no guacamole . I cut one of the taquitos in half and then notice it was only had chicken in the center, on each end, it was completely empty, zero meat. I've been here 3 times now and each visit is the danger; great food and good service. The cashier is helpful in deciding what to get and they offer a lot of options. If you don't see what you want, ask. The restaurant is clean, well lit, and easy to find as it's next to DQ. The food is delicious and well portioned. Price wise, this location is a great value. LOVE LOVE LOVE. pregnancy had me craving potato tacos so I swung by on a Friday because they have TACO FRIDAY. The lady that helped me was SO sweet. I knew I wanted potato tacos the saw sooo many things on their menu. I got two regular fried potato tacos, a healthier one, and some asada and carnitas ones for my SO. the healthy potato tacos are good but the deep fried ones brought back so many memories of my fav place in Brea for taco Tuesday that closed down!! My SO initially didn't eat his tacos until after our appt. The he gobbled all FOUR in the car before we left the parking lot. Must've been good! read more

I ordered the Mexicano burrito and my friend ordered the vegetarian omelet, the burrito tasted okay and the size was a bit small compared to other burritos I've had in different places . What initially caught my eye was the crispy tacos, I love a good (non fast food chain) crispy taco and sometimes they're not easy to find. I decided to grab a few for the family and myself and the verdict is, we are all BIG fans. We really like the crispy chicken/shredded beef/ potato tacos. We have tried their Mexican (soft, street style) asada/carnitas/barbacoa tacos, still good, but here, the credit definitely belongs to the crispy. It's a simple taco, but they do it so well, perfect ratios. Their red sauce is delicious but their green sauce absolutely SLAPS. I could drink it. Staff is nice and service is usually really quick, but I will say I think because of both social media, and word of mouth, they have newfound fame and fans. Wait times are getting a bit longer, but you can tell they try their best to be efficient. Also, I recently learned that they just launched a new app, so you can place online orders which may help with wait times. There's a good amount of seating, although I usually do take out. The chicken tortilla soup is Off The Hook..Really good. The broth is strong and flavorful and the tortillas strips are freshly made and really delicious in the soup. Well, I am back here again! I have to say the food, while unexceptional, is completely satisfying. The Wednesday lunch special was "2 enchiladas, with rice and beans for $11.50". Such a deal, I added chips and salsa and a couple of cokes. We lunched for $31.00 and I left a generous tip for the counter service. The hot sauce both green and red is top notch, I loved them both. We had the chicken enchiladas but other fillings are available. There is a lunch special every day. I will try the tamales next time. The ambiance is standard, the parking is easy, the service was really good and friendly. The chef in the kitchen looked like an old "pro" to us. We ended up lunching here because the Beachwood Pizza place across the parking lot was not open for lunch on Wednesdays. We went next door after lunch and grabbed a hot fudge Sunday at the DQ! Every time we come there are multiple people in the restaurant and there is a reason why this place is awesome! The food is delicious! The customer service is outstanding! They're reasonably priced and consistent. They make you feel like family. You want to just keep coming back! All of their homemade drinks are delicious and not too sweet. I just started eating at El Torazo recently, and it's becoming one of my favorite Mexican food places in HB. The tacos and taquitos are super good, fresh, and full of toppings. I also love the rice and beans. I can tell that everything is cooked fresh and not just sitting around all day. Very casual Mexican. Start with parking. It's at the far side of a market parking lot so lots is easy parking. The location is next to a couple other casual dining places. You order at the coulter off menu on the wall. This was our first time here and very easy. They bring your order to you at your seat. I had three chicken tacos and companion had nachos.
