The owner personally took the time to walk me through the process of what cremation and funeral services would look like. I was so afraid of how my mother would look, the makeup done for her made her look like snow white resting. She was so at peace and it gave me tremendous closure and comfort to see her looking so beautiful after looking so sick at the hospital. Every detail of her services, we're touched with pieces of the ocean. I had mentioned to the owner how my mother loved the sea, when we walked in to her services it was a beautiful seascape, I was so blown away at the details, there were little sand bottles with her name, handprinted on them. These keepsakes are still in my living room, and I treasure them. I didn't have to do anything they helped withb all the details down to organizing our food in a buffett style. They provided an easel and huge picture of her, so when you walked in, you saw her beautiful face smiling. All I had to do was send in my photos, and they were printed and framed all throughout reception. They allowed us to put a playlist of her favorite music together and played it throughout the venue. There were tv's playing her picture video memorial. The memorial cards they printed on a nice quality photo paper, and I was able to choose several pictures to go on the back which helped me include all of my family I'm so thankful God led me to this venue. They were so flexible with payment as well and allowed me organize donations before final payment. Thank you so much Christal and team. Me and my family are forever greatful for your hospitality. We went to a number of mortuaries and they are worse than used car salesmen. Ken McKenzie greeted us and unfortunately, I had an attitude based on all the other meetings we had where they didn't want to answer questions and provide direct feedback. McKenzie didn't try to upsell us as we were solely seeking cremation services. He was in contact every step of the way....from the time they picked up my brother at City of Hope in Duarte, to his transport to the cremation facility, to the ashes being transported back to McKenzie. We were even able to provide our own urns to have them filled with my brothers ashes. I receive frequent text messages and would refer their services to any other family during this most difficult time of loss. Please perform due diligence and make sure any operation you move forward with is in compliance with the State's regulatory requirements.
