Visited this dealership on Friday 03.06.26 to look at a IS350. Also looked at several other vehicles. Spent about 30 minutes on the lot. No one came to greet us. Also noticed all the cars had a $2495.00 adder for "Appearance Package". No other customers on the lot. Needless to say, we left. Will not be returning. read more

Another day, another terrible Lexus dealership. My car battery kept dying and AAA suggested I get a trickle charger. I purchased one from an auto store and brought it in to have them show me how to properly attach it. Johnny helped us out or should I say didn't help us out? First thing he did was claim that the charger I bought for $30 wouldn't work and I would need to buy a $125 charger from them. Luckily I know better and didn't fall for his BS. When we asked him to show us how to attach it, he stated the only way to do so was through the actual battery in the cargo hold. I have another car where the battery is in the back but you can attach the trickle charger to the posts under the hood. When I asked him if this was possible he said no. I didn't believe him so I asked again to confirm and again, he again said no. I called another dealership in the city and they informed me that while it's best to attach it to the battery in the cargo hold it's of course possible to do so under the hood. I was sadly not surprised Johnny blatantly lied to me. It was clear he was full of it as soon as he tried to upsell me a charger that was 5x the amount I paid elsewhere. I love my car but with service like this I'll think twice about getting another Lexus. read more

If you want a great sales person who will listen and respond to your requests, then find the best sales person i dealt with. Her name is Genesis like before Exodus in the Bible. She is a 5 out of 5 Just like her name, she is number one for helping you find what you want. The dealership is anther thing. They desire their low rating. Sales managers won't even see, talk to you in person and certainly won't work with you on price. The service department is over worked and have too much work to help you with anything that is under a 1000.00 bill. You have beg and plead for them you help you and even then you are still in trouble. If money is not a problem then this business is for you. Customer service forget about that. read more

10/10 experience. I worked with Henrry, a product specialist, today & he was lovely! Every car I wanted to see he didn't hesitate to go inside & grab the keys to show me them. I really appreciated his honesty & he was so helpful when it came to all my questions/concerns etc regarding the cars I looked at. He was respectful of my budget & showed me new used cars as well, that also fit into my price range! I didn't feel like he was rushing me or trying to sell me the most expensive car which made me feel really comfortable because this is a HUGE decision you know? Anyway, We test drove a new used Lexus UX & I LOVED it. I came in for an NX but surprising loved the UX (it helps to be open to suggestions). After the test drive I talked to Greg, a sales manager, to go over logistics. Henry did a phenomenal job explaining what type of car I was getting into & Greg made it easy to understand the pricing behind it & they hooked me up with a great deal (like seriously I couldn't believe it lol) Lastly, Ali, who was the finance director, made the process on finalizing my purchase so smooth. I'm pleased with my experience here & I'm so in love with my new used Lexus UX! (Also Henrry put the bow on the car & it was the icing on the cake ) I know other reviews have a much different opinion than mine but what I will say is, kindness goes such a long way. worse dealership i been to for many reasons staff was very unprofessional addressing me as "bud" and "buddy" because of my younger age the person i spoken too did not remember my name nor was the person helping me view the car with a set appointment there on time waited over 20 minutes for him and the car was very dirty upon arrival. Vehicle was listed at 31 went in car was supposedly 32.5 for a "black friday sale" because of new tires when we agreed on a the original set price being 31 drove almost 100 miles to see the car and they did not want to honor price or my pre approval through a bank they supposedly work with. They also tried to throw in an extra desert package "at no cost" but when viewing the breakdown it was included for $400. read more

I am very disappointed that I had my Lexus in for service to change the 12V battery which was 8 yrs old and no longer started the vehicle. My hybrid is a 2008 and I was already aware that it needs replaced because (1) of the many cells was starting to fail. I was told the reason my Lexus wasn't starting was because of the hybrid battery l, which they could replace for ~$7000. I assumed Shottenkirk Desert Lexus Service Department tested my 12V battery and trusted them when they said it was NOT the problem and was grateful to save ~$400 by not replacing something that wasn't broken. Well a week later my Lexus won't start again so I have to find another service to provide that charged $100 more to replace the 12V battery. This time i watched as they tested & replaced it and verified the 8-yr battery had 26% health and definitely needed replaced. Also during the time the truck latch stopped working so I had to figure out a way to tie it down just to get to the service provider. The reason for this 1-star review is because I trusted Shottenkirk Desert Lexus with their friendly service advisor but I should've verified by asking to speak with the technician who diagnosed the hybrid battery to confirm they tested the 12V battery which was the entire purpose of my visit. Shottenkirk Desert Lexus let me drive away know good and well my Lexus wasn't going to start with the 8-yr 12V battery. All the distress I experienced after leaving would have been avoid had they been honest with me and cared about my Lexus Customer Satisfaction over trying to sell me expensive $$$ services that I do NOT need at this time. read more

I don't know what the other customers are commenting on? I just took my Lexus in for service and it was great!!!! They told me the car would be done in 1 1/2 hours and it was. The work done was explained to me along with the charges! They were even able to pick up all the prior visits to the Santa Monica service department! Luxury service? Oh Nooo. Their phone system was down all day, I started dialing every phone number I could find on their website. The main number said Network Error. Sales, service, parts all just rang and rang. Finally at 3pm I had to drive to the dealership. The service advisor said'are you sure YOU were dialing the right number. So I went to SALES. The guy there said oh yeah, my customer sent me an email asking WTH. So, if the GM had to know this was a problem, why not advise your sales and service team that there is issue. Absolutely not a luxury experience. read more
