Crack in a cup! Nice ambiance and great service. Coffee does the job! When I'm in Rio Del I always stop and get my fix.

Some days it's a 2 star. Some days it's a 5 star. That's why I put 3. My first time there I ordered the açaí bowl and it said it came with granola and banana and strawberries and I didn't receive any add ons and was beyond dissatisfied with paying $10+ for an açaí bowl with NO toppings that was 1/4 the way full! Since then I've received toppings on mine and it's been 1/2 the way full and I loved it and have gone multiple times for it. Today I ordered an egg sandwich that was listed for $6.40 and I don't eat meat so I asked to sub avo instead of meat and they said yes and then I paid $9 - which makes no sense. After driving off and arriving back at work I look at sandwich to eat it and honestly it sucks. It's far from $9 worth. There's barely any avo. read more

Spent a week working from here and it was great. The food was good, they have lots of fun drinks and treats my kids loved. Stopped by on our drive from LA to Portland, so perfect! Love the drive through, the people were nice and helpful. We were a bit nervous about getting a breakfast burrito cuz they can be a hit or miss, but this one was a hit! Great bagel as well. Got a hot London Fog and it was really good. Nice selection of unique coffee and tea offerings - an interesting spot for a passerby. However, service experience was less than impressive. The drive thru line extends into the parking lot, so there is a potential for you to get boxed in if you park... which unfortunately happened to us. Staff, while friendly, seems overwhelmed. There were 5 people working, but there is no process. It took 15 minutes to get a regular black coffee, which in the majority of coffee shops I've been to, they fulfill your oder while you pay so it's in & out. They also charged me for someone else's order, which ended up costing me $5 more than my order. They were apologetic and offered to refund me, but they all looked frazzled and ultimately forgot to work on my refund. At this point, it was nearing 30 minutes, so I didn't even bother. read more

Stopped by the drive through twice for coffees while we were in town visiting family. I like the sweeter (less burnt taste) mocha that they serve unlike certain chain competitors. While I'm a hot mocha kind of girl I noticed that they have a large selection of teas and iced infusion drinks. Service was quick, friendly, and efficient. I've gone to Shotz multiple times and it's hit and miss but the health department should be notified. Last time I got a bagel sandwich it had a long hair in it. However, I figured it's a one off, gave it some time and just went to order one to give them another chance. Bad idea, girl at the window didn't wash her hands after handling the cash register area. No gloves either, just went straight to making my bagel sandwich. Other girl comes from back room with her hands in her hoodie (at this time the first gal was making my coffees as the bagel toasted) The girl from the back never washes her hands either, pulls them out of her hoodie pockets and makes the rest of the bagel. I tend to go to Shotz because they are a locally owned small business, and the ladies that work there are always very sweet and polite. The coffee is always good - and bonus points - just found out that the coffee beans are always organic, and so is the soy milk. I'm not sure what else is, but that's enough to get my attention. Another bonus - my car was broken into recently and the thief stole a few things including a full Shotz stamp card. I just happened to tell the barista who immediately gave me a new, fully stamped card! They had my business before - and now for sure! Plus they make a mean soy latte! read more

I'm disappointed every time I leave this place. Employees are rude. Coffee is mediocre at best. Way overpriced. Lines extremely long and even when they're not long it's the slowest service you could possibly imagine. Do yourself a favor and go to Wildwood Waffles down the street. read more

Great little coffee shop within 20 minutes of my camping spot by Avenue of the Giants. In past years I would travel an hour to Eureka to get something comprable. The customer service was excellent and the coffee was great as well. The ambiance is what you would expect of a higher end coffee joint in Sacramento close to where I reside. (By higher end, I simply mean more expensive). I felt very much at home studying there. Great WiFi! The menu selection is quite extensive: coffee, lattes, shakes, tea, breakfast sandwiches, acacia bowls, pastries, and much more. I've been there twice already and will probably go again. read more

The afternoon crew is terrible, if you think about getting coffee here, do not, I repeat do not order if you care about the quality of your coffee. I jus ordered an espresso milkshake and was handed a cup of water with espresso and shaved ice, worst coffee I've ever had, and it's nothing near what I wanted, simply wanted ice cream and espresso blended. Shotz coffee employees in Rio Dell do not appear to understand or take seriously Face Covering orders, nor do they appear to understand how this carries over to food handling. Of three employees this morning, one appeared to wear a mask properly (over Chin, mouth, and nose). The other two employees removed their masks when not directly at the ordering window. Employees handled food and money without masks/gloves. Through the window, staff were also visible switching between handling cleaning tasks to food handling or money handling without washing hands. When asked if the company has a masking policy, the staff refused to answer and stated that I should call the owner. Unclear if this was due to mask refusal by the employees, lack of training for safe food handling, or if the employees have not had clear instructions related to wearing face coverings. read more

Pretty good coffee--but this is the 3rd time that I have tried them and been disappointed....the 3rd time that I purchased a food item and again received what had to be a 1-2 day day pastry. I would have returned it but was was already on the road and driving. In addition, the service was LOUSY.--One person handling the drive-up window, another making a coffee drink and no one helping myself and another customer at the counter. The guy in front of me waited for 4-5 minutes with no one taking his order and finally walked out. This also happened the previous time that I was in with me waiting at the counter with no one even looking to see if I was there for several minutes. It is obvious that this place is terribly mismanaged. They need fresh pastries daily (not 2 day old COSTCO muffins) and get much better at serving customers. read more

Be advised that their white mocha is extremely sweet. I wasted a whole drink because it was too sweet to bear. Decided to give it a second try and the barista on that day was awful. Horrible additude, stuck up and clearly hated her job. There are 2 blonde baristas, one is super sweet with great service and then there's the rude one. I won't be going back. read more
