Great experience! Very nice staff! Very welcoming atmosphere! Clean and quite except if they have concerts. By the way food is very good. Very nice breakfast . Been in this place a few times and recommend!

Chicken BLT. Give it a try it will hit the spot.

Do you know what we saw a lot of potentially bad reviews but we were here just for the restaurant and it certainly served what we needed. We were looking for a laid-back relaxing afternoon lunch in the middle of a drive around Seneca lake. A lot of vineyards offer specialty cheese plates, etc. but we were looking for a good old-fashioned diner style food. The Showboat restaurant met our desires. It's not the Ritz-Carlton, it's a very acceptable laid-back restaurant on the waterfront. Their menu is full of several options. We were looking for sandwiches and salad and that's what we got... The house salad was good enough The fish sandwich was nice lunch meal I'll tell you what the chicken club I got was very good ... it really hit the spot. Some people prefer french fries to potato chips but I will accept the potato chips. I like to add the crunchy texture to my sandwich. we arrived in a car, not a boat, but I imagine pulling up in a boat would be very exciting. The dog enjoyed lake Seneca after we ate...

Stayed here for a girls weekend getaway. Wanted something by the water close to brewery's and winery's.... also cheap. This place fit the bill. Located in Himrod right by the water, the restaurant is directly on the water. Docks ready for boats to pull up and park. The room located on the second floor, two sets of stairs available.. was nothing special but it's a place to shower and sleep. Two queen beds, fairly comfortable. Smaller bathroom , shower was dated but had hot water. The entire decor was older ( old tv was funny to see but never used). There is a pool on site, swim at own risk. No lifeguard no towels ... The restaurant is located right on the water, we never ate here but did enjoy the nightly live music outside. Cheap cold beer was good. Views of sunset and water were awesome! I could sit on the dock watching all the boats going by for hours. The best part of this place is how close you are to breweries and wineries.... and that's what we wanted. We visited this place during Covid, housekeeping was not a daily thing if you needed something you asked at front desk. I did break a circuit when drying my hair, they fixed it right away. There's also an ice machine on site in the front office.. but it's used up fast bring your own.

The house reminded me of a classic New York summer retreat house with its craftsman style and antique decor. Our room had beautiful Laura Ashley and Ralph Lauren linens, which gave it a very cozy homey feel. The two breakfasts (fluffy blueberry pancakes & homemade syrup, melon & fresh squeezed orange juice the first morning, and pepper, cheese & leek omelettes with strawberries & grilled pear caramelized with cinnamon & sugar and fresh squeezed orange juice the second morning) and cheese platter on our arrival night were delicious. We especially enjoyed spending our evenings on the front porch where there was a view of the lake, pleasant breeze, and fire flies & stars abound. The house is very centrally located to explore area wineries (which we did via bike) and Watkins Glen (highly recommend hiking the Watkins Glen State Park). It was our first post-COVID quarantine trip so we were a bit nervous, but Cathy kept it immaculately clean, provided hand sanitizer, which was always available by the front door and in our room, and Clorox wipes in the bathroom, and she always wore a mask when she interacted with us. We truly enjoyed our stay!

The house is centrally located with easy access to over 100 wineries and craft breweries. There are five very comfortable, clean rooms with private baths, and a couple have private porch access to enjoy lake views. Breakfasts are prepared by owner, Cathy Moskal using all fresh organic ingredients sourced locally. The most popular dishes are a variety of omelettes, blueberry pancakes or European style crepes. Sunday brunch offerings are popular that include fruits, yogurts, juices and freshly baked muffins in addition to an egg dish. Freshly ground and brewed coffee awaits you each morning!

The decor was nicely done and the room was stocked with everything we needed. The pool is very nice as well. Overall, the resort was quiet and the staff was super friendly. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING. I don't know that I've ever had a better breakfast anywhere else. My only wish was that the chairs outside the Seneca room were Adirondacks rather than metal chairs with cushions. It rained quite a bit, but when it wasn't raining, we were unable to sit on them because the cushions were wet. Overall, I highly recommend this B&B for a great location and experience!

No side tables to set things on and the bed and pillows were definitely uncomfortable. The bathroom was a pleasant surprise. The owners were pleasant and helpful. The B& B was impossible to find at night...or even during the day & a little dangerous to cross a railroad track then make a sudden sharp right turn down a hill !! Breakfasts were very good and I especially enjoyed eating outside on the sunny patio with a view. I thought the price was a little high for my room as I have spent many a year in B&B's......The excellent wineries abound in the area and for that reason I recommend...

It has new house smell and was pristine. The rooms are larger than I thought with good sized closets. I needed a desk for the week and the owners were very kind to bring one to the room for me. By the way - most folks are out for the day so the WiFi was better than my company jet pack! Definitely a plus. Breakfast this week landed around 9a and I had meetings during that time. They were so gracious to have a plate ready or welcome me to the porch table for privacy. Pros: - Their wine is delicious and their origin story is very interesting. Schedule a tasting ($10)! - Breakfast was delicious every day and includes ingredients from their garden - Local coffee served. And, it's good! - Beautiful, clean home - Knowledgeable owners - Close to several wineries - Short drive to town (restaurants) - beautiful area, super relaxing Cons: - Most wineries close at 5pm - TV in my room was *very* small.
