Ty is unprofessional, rude, and does not listen to his customer. Used him for 2 and 1/2 bathroom reno. I would not even recommend even using him for plumbing issues. 2 of the 3 new vanities had leaking plumbing after install that required multiple revisits to fix. Plumbing also makes a weird noise now that I guess we have to live with. He doesn't even do his own work contracts out for everything. Please take this review seriously. Ty ignored my job completely. His involvement on my project was obviously on his back burner. The items he handled was at best crappie. My new drain is installed crooked, I will see that daily. My shower valve sticks out noticeably beyond necessary. His response to my bringing this up is, to blame his tile guy. Yet his tile guy was meticulous and very detail oriented. I am very happy with Ivan's work! I will highly recommend Ivan the tile man. Ty was not worth my money. I would not recommend Ty. Do not use him. read more

Ty did a fantastic job on my bathroom. After deciding the bathtub and shower had its day and I hated the flooring (all was put in original with the house in '73), I shopped around. Ty had great reviews on Neighborhood, and as it turns out did my sister's bathroom floors. Communications were good and Ty would stop by most days his crew was on site to check in or kick off the work. They were on schedule and on budget. We have small children, and busy lives, I woke up early to make sure my schedule would not impede his time (gym, shower, breakfast for the kids) and he never showed. So I called Ty the owner on 1/25/21 to set up an appointment for an estimate for a bathroom remodel. He said no problem he would be by at 9am on 1/29/21. On 1/29 at 9:20 no Ty, so I call him to see if we were still a go on the appointment. He apologized and said he had a car accident earlier in the week and it through off his appointments, and asked if he could come by at noon. I gave the benefit of the doubt and said yes. He came by at noon and we walked the 2 bathrooms. In 1 I want to converge a 1/2 bath to a 3/4 for an aging in law. The house is 10 years old and had an option. He said no problem, had a binder with pictures, and good pictures of work. That was the last I had heard from him. I emailed him on 2/5 with his contact from his business card. I asked if he had the estimate as he said he wails email it in 2-3 days and it was a week later. No response - I would have expected a note out if courtesy that he was behind on jobs, and either re-evaluate the time to send the estimate or say he can't do it. I need to send this not that I could evaluate his work, but that he does not take in account that others time is valuable. That as a "business owner" he should communicate to potential and actual customers. Even a sorry I can't handle the job. If his follow through here is an example think what an actual construction job would look like on your biggest investment your house. If his avg on follow through is 1/2 the time, good luck on what side of the coin you will fall if you select his business. read more

DO NOT HIRE TY TONNESSEN or his company "Shower Bath And Plumbing." His communication and reliability is the absolute worst. Save yourself the aggravation and headache of dealing with Ty Tonnessen. My family room ceiling flooded due to his poor malicious work. He failed to properly cap the tub drain and instead his workers shoved a "Fluidmaster" cap into the opening and wrapped it with tape. This obviously did not hold and leaked onto the ceiling below flooding my family room. The ASI plumber who I had to hire to repair the leak said "this is the absolute worst he has ever seen in his plumbing career. This is malicious." I then had to hire drywall workers to repair the 8' X 4' section of my ceiling. I called, emailed and texted Ty Tonnessen numerous times for several weeks, to no avail. I sent him numerous pics of the damage and he still did not respond. He is totally irresponsible and does not care once he has your money. Contacting attorneys to evaluate my next step. read more

We had Shower Bath And Plumbing remove a fiber glass jacuzzi tub and tile. We live on the third floor of a condo complex so getting this project done correctly was our number one concern. Prior to selecting the contractor we researched the cost but as I mention this was not our first concern that being said we were very happy with the quote Ty gave us. What we were more impressed with is his knowledge and explanation of the scope of work of our project. Ty was there each day from demo to the installation of the new shower fixtures. The project was completed on time which was important as we only have one bathroom. I can't say enough regarding the attention to detail from Ivan (tile setter) and Rudy the plumber. Walk in Shower by Tyson Bath and Shower April - Met Tyson for the first time. Tyson quoted a price and stated he would physically be here for all the major stages Of the shower construction. (1) Removal of the old products. (2) hot mop. (3) tile insulation (4) wall repairs (5) glass insulation. He stated he needed to especially be present during these times to ensure they were done correctly. The only procedure he showed up for was the first day's demolition. June - Tyson miscalculated the tiling because he tried to get the information from his tile person via a cellphone. (4-day delay) The glass for the shower was delivered and installed there was a blemish imbedded inside the glass. (4-day delay) These delays do not include redo's. They had to respond three times on the glass to replace it and fix leaks. The tiler had returned three times. All these discrepancies mentioned above should had been observed by a thorough inspection by Tyson before he took our final payment. Tyson was untruthful by saying he would be present for all the major evolutions. He refused to come and look at the product stating his tile man already informed him of the corrections needed even though I said I wanted him here. He was disrespectful to my wife when asked when the repairs could be made by saying I can't always jump when you call me. A man is judged by his word. I can't say much for Tyson's word. I will hold him to the contract for any other issues concerning the shower and any other repairs that may occur. read more
