Food is always hot and fresh. Love the variety on the menu. I've tried burgers and other things from here without any issues.

Showmars is outstanding! This has to be my new "go to" spot for lunch if I am stuck between choices! They never let you down! I have never been disappointed in any item off the sandwich, pita or salad side of the menu. I cannot speak for the "dinner" portions as I have not ventured to that side of the menu. Their tag line says it all ... "Casual Dining ... Fast!" You got that right. The drive-thru is a quick and simple execution just like going inside to order "to go" or taking time to dine in. They bring the food right out to you. The staff is very friendly (that is hard to come by these days!) and are always eager to assist with anything including drink refills and clearing the table. The interior is a simple design with your standard dining booths and they provide a few televisions throughout for you to catch up on via news stations and the four letter sports network. read more

Showmars is still showmars, I tried three different locations in town (South Park Mall, Uptown, and this location on Park Rd). I haven't had showmars in a couple years and decided to rejuvenate my taste buds since I was craving mediterranean food. My review will be based on my experience at this location: Cons: 1. Don't expect to find a parking spot at this location, especially during busy lunch hours. 2. Drive through line is so long it wraps around the entire store, so you may as well just park your car across the street at the CVS and walk over to dine inside. 3. There will not be enough indoor seating, so expect to have to sit on the outside patio. This may be less tempting in the hot Charlotte summers. 4. I ordered the gyro platter, it was a mistake! I've never been to a mediterranean place that served my gyro in separate pieces, meaning the pita was separate from my meat. Did I mention there was no veggie for my pita, the picture on there menu looks nothing like the food I got. All I got was a piece of pita by itself and a cup of beef strips. Neutral: 1. Wait time, I waited about 10-15 minute for my order...which could be a tad faster seeing it's a fast food chain Pros: 1. Great dining booths and interior decoration for a fast food joint. seriously, the inside looked like a sit down restaurant, great that they also have patio seating option. 2. Sanitation score is not bad, 96.5 3. Their daily specials 4. Milkshakes are only $2.75 (Did not taste test to see if any good so I cannot comment on quality) Tip: -Check the board for their daily specials!! I cannot emphasize this enough. I wish I had just gotten the chicken gyro with fries which was a special going on for the day for just $5.69...The chicken gyro itself is worth $.5.29 already on the regular menu so this is a great deal. They have more than just gyros on special, they also have soup, salad etc. -If you want yummy authentic greek food, try greco fresh grille on Rea Rd, 10x better! I've been here many times food & service usually good till tonight. Went thru drive thru Brought dinner home. I'm 5 minutes away. Opened dinner kids meal fries were cold and hard & Gyro meat was hard and dried up! I called and spoke to William who claimed to be the manager so I told him what came in my bag & said that is typically not what we get. He hung up the phone. I thought well maybe we got disconnected. So I called back, my number is blocked so it comes up private, the phone disconnected again. After 2 more tries with the same result I unblocked my number, William answered, I said I thought at 1st we got disconnected. As soon as I said that he hung up again! Seriously ...who does that!! I was being nice cause it was late & perhaps someone was having a bad day.... After verifying that he did hang up on my call a few times, I am over it. This guy is the manager? I like Showmars restaurants and this one is no exception. I went in during the busy lunch hour and received very fast service and good food in a clean environment. This location has a drive thru. I recommend the grilled chicken pita for lunch! read more

Thought we'd try Showmars; they are convenient. You place order at the counter and then find a table. Plenty tables available but every one was sticky. I don't consider a table top that holds on to you to be clean. Food was served quickly and is okay. Nothing slid off the table... read more

I've been to this Showmars before and have had good experiences, but today was awful! I ordered two chicken pitas for my friend and I and the chicken was disgusting! Rubbery and chewy. We called and spoke with the manager, and she admitted she had the chicken today too and it tasted "off". I can't believe they would continue to serve horrible food to customers. Their motto is "Good food, fast" and they mean it. My favorite is the Gyro platter but have had most of the menu and it is all very good and is served very fast. They have a wide variety of offerings from seafood to burgers to pitas. They even have a BBQ sandwich. Their fries are the crinkle kind which you don't see very often anymore. The staff is always friendly and happy. Please be aware that they are closed on Sundays though. read more

I love Greek salad from Showmars but i will never return to this one. The male server pushed passed use to hold open the for a white female to leave as we was coming in. When he return to take our order he rolled his eyes smack his lips . I quote " what do you want" . The other team members look shocked and upset at his actions and manner. Delicious food! It is a little pricier than typical fast food, but it's well worth the price. The food is always fresh!

Showmars is a Charlotte staple and I can't help visiting when I'm in town. The gyro meat is flavorful and tastes great with their Tzatziki sauce. I recommend the samora plate, souvlaki plate, or gyro pita. The kids meals are also good if you want a smaller portion. As of a couple years ago, they include a small drink and a mini M&Ms pack; the shrimp kid's meal is tasty and comes with sauce (cocktail or horseradish I believe). read more

Showmars management, I am trying my best to give you my money in exchange for your product, but your restaurant is doing everything possible to thwart that endeavor. This is an update on my previous review, when I reported that orders placed for Showmars on DoorDash were being cancelled at the last minute, leaving me scrambling to find an alternative. So today I placed an order for several meals via UberEats, in case the previous problem had been specific to DoorDash. Well, I can now report, it's not a DoorDash-specific problem. The problem lies squarely with Showmars, because exactly the same phenomenon happened via UberEats. I placed the order well in advance for takeout at noon. On my way to the restaurant, I received a notification from UberEats that Showmars never confirmed the order so the order was being cancelled. While in the car, I attempted to re-enter the order, and it too ended up being cancelled. This is exactly the same problem as when I tried the same via DoorDash, so it's clearly not a specific platform problem. I know for certain that the restaurant was open because I drove past the restaurant at the very moment the order should have been ready, and there were plenty of cars in the parking lot and customers entering and exiting the restaurant. So the restaurant was doing regular business but the staff there is ignoring/cancelling orders placed via multiple ordering apps. If you don't want these orders, why do you even place your restaurant on them? Save us all the time and frustration. read more

The order is Always not what I ask for and when you complain the manager (a very young guy) speaks to you as if your not supposed to complain about your order being right. His demeanor is horrible. Best gyros around, great salads, this location has really friendly staff. It's a big convenience that they have a fast drive through. This makes it a great alternative to the nasty McDonalds- type fast food chains. Prices are low, wide variety of food. Totally recommended if you want the convenience of fast food but a great selection of unique dishes for about the same price of a conventional burger joint. read more

I love coming to this specific location. The drive thru is a GREaT option for me! I normally have more than one order so the fact that they can get everything prepared and packaged by the time i pull around is amazing. The only thing i don't like is that they don't separate orders. The food is for the most part always fresh and delicious. Except for the soups...don't get the soup! It was a chilly day so i got the veggie pita and a cup of broccoli cheese soup and it was actually kind of disgusting...it had been sitting in the pot for i don't know how long and was extremely chunky...almost looked like a dip. So between the nasty soup and the money situation that is why this post got 4 stars. But the salads and pitas are yummy, i always get the same 3 things. "BECOMING VERY DISAPPOINTED" I visit Showmars at least 5 to 7 times a month and I have noticed the quality of the food and service has declined. I moved to Charlotte thirteen years ago and was introduced to this restaurant by a good friend and the experience was great. But over the last few months I have had some very unusual experiences that I would like to share. 1. I visited the University Showmars and ordered a greek salad which is my favorite. The presentation was terrible and I ask the manager why it looked that way. I was told they have a different demographic on this side of town and not to expect the same presentation as the South Charlotte location. Wow!!! Can u say rude and racists? 2. On another occasion I visited the Park Cedar location and ordered the fish and shrimp platter to discover the fish was half cooked. My final experience was today when i ordered the Gyro sandwich and fries. The Gyro meat was very bland and tasteless as if someone forgot to season it. I called not looking for a free meal but to express my concern over the quality of the food and was told they would check into it. Then the manager violently slammed down the phone. I guess she was having a bad day. There are several other restaurants in Charlotte that would appreciate my money and loyality. I have had enough of this establishment and will be spending my money elsewhere... Good luck!!!! read more

This is my FAVORITE restaurant. I go once or sometimes twice a week for dinner. Everything is delicious and served quickly. The flounder is amazing and their burgers are very good. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick bite at a good price. I normally spend about $6 when I go by myself for a filling meal! read more
