I need a control panel replaced that controls all the pool system components. Steve was sent by Choice Home Warranty (horrible home warranty company-do not use). He showed up, tested the panel and verified it needed replacement. While he was here he also replaced a GFI breaker which my pool light kept blowing and fixed that. He noticed a few other issues I had, that I was unaware of such as my heater is also not working, so I was thankful he informed me of that. Still waiting for the absolutely terrible home warranty company to okay the fix after I appealed their denial of my claim. I liked Steve and his sidekick, Terrell, very nice people. read more

The WORST company ever!!!!! DON'T GO HERE!! This pool service was assigned to us by HWA, our home warranty to find out why our NEW pool pump is not working. On 7/7/25, the tech came & said he was going to have his boss relay the info to HWA. WEEKS PASSED, no response! Finally had to escalate with HWA on 7/22/25 & Steve A finally came with his assistant. He TOOK OUR BRAND NEW PENTAIR POOL PUMP with him and he said he was going to work with Pentair regarding the 1year warranty. Well.....we are now going on 4 WEEKS from 7/22/25, he has our pool pump, we would have to text/call him multiple times before we get a response after a couple of days and all we got were EXCUSES! Our pool is green & we keep dumping chlorine & shock. His lack of communication is unprofessional!!!! I read the other reviews & during that time frame, he was working on everyone else's but ours!!! So let me start by staying at the beginning Steve was great, but that quickly changed to unreliability and poor work a theme throughout these reviews. I gave him a huge pool remodel project that required new electrical, new plaster, and more. The work looked nice but what I discovered later has me horrified. Months after the work was complete all the pool electrical started failing and then less than a year after the work was complete my brand new pool light flooded. After removing the light what I found was a spliced together wire with electrical tape to shortcut doing the work properly compromising the integrity of the light and leaving a very dangerous situation that could have left us electrocuted because it was improperly installed as ground water quickly leaked into the wire and then the light housing. I haven't even got into the lack of showing up for service, pool turning green, and more excuses for poor work. Oh and I bought a variable speed pump from him to participate in the LA rebate and he never handled the exchange so I ate even more cash. Stay away. read more

I called with a Jacuzzi Heater "emergency", after my regular pool service was not available to help. Steve could have not been any friendlier on the phone - he was in the middle of a job, but listened to my issue and tried to find a way to help. He immediately texted me his contact and said that he would see if anyone could be freed up to come my way. I ended up finding someone, who was able to come right away and when I told Steve he said that he could be there the next day if help would still be needed. An A+ service- thank you! read more

Steve had to fix my 3 lose hot tub tiles and something that should have taken maybe 3 days max turned into almost 4 weeks now. The job was never finished. He says he'd show up tomorrow and just doesn't come and doesn't responds to your calls or texts. In fact he actually started avoiding me. I would call and text him nonstop and he wouldn't pick up. But if i texted from a number that he didn't know, he would respond right away. I called Steve on the 13th of jan, apparently he owns of showtime pools. I had a problem with my pool (eucalyptus tree fell on the pool and we had it removed but the tree turned the water really dark) it needed heavy cleaning with chemicals, filter cleaning etc.. He came the next day on the 14th although he was 7 hours late I cut him slack, I was grateful, that he came and he seemed knowledgable. He said he would come back on Saturday which he didn't come, everyday he would say he is going to come and never shows up. He only showed up one day that week put some chemicals and was suppose to come least 2 more times that week to clean filters and put more chemicals, but everyday he would say he is coming and doesn't come or even acknowledge. He knew I was relying on him because we were having a pool inspection the following week. He is a LIAR r, SO UNRELIABLE , probably doesn't know what he was doing, he should have been truthful from the beginning and say either he is too busy to do the job or doesn't know what to do. I am in shock people like that are in business. So disappointing. If there was a lower than one star rating I would have picked it. read more

Even though we had a time constraint due to a city notice, he was here during the weekdays until 9pm/10pm and weekends as well to make sure it was cleaned and perfect before filling with water. If it wasn't for Syndicate pool and Steve, not sure if we would've made the deadline of the notice. Ugh! I hate writing bad reviews. In the beginning they were pretty good. In the middle they were great. We loved the guys that was coming out. It was consistent and the pool looked good. Then things changed! They skipped weeks here and there. Steve would never answer calls, emails or texts. He seemed annoyed that we had to switch days due to our kids swim lessons. They sent a new guy that was nice but I didn't think he knew what he was doing. He claimed that the pool lost power and that's why it was green. It never lost power and Steve argued with me about that endlessly. Our pool looked horrible for weeks. I reached out to Steve to see if he could come and check the pool and he never responded or showed up. The following week no one showed up so I honestly thought they quit so I hired a new company. Turns out our chemicals were soooo far off and our filters had been put back in the wrong way and two of them broke! I left emails, calls and texts ending the service and the following week they showed up again to service the pool! They currently owe us $200, just enough to annoy us, because I can't shut off their autopay. Really poorly ran company, go elsewhere for pool service for sure! read more

Money Grab Scam... this company came out for a simple clean service, opened the electrical panel and fried the circuit board.. they then tried to charge me for a repair. These idiots didn't realize we have security cameras and caught the spark-flash from the technician touching a tool to the electrical area. They then removed the circuit board and left with it, it's been 3 months they won't return my calls . My lawyers is going after then for stolen parts and damages, if you want to make your pool or spa worse then it was before call these people. Ruined our whole summer and all we wanted was the tub cleaned. Owner is rude hangs up on you and never returns calls, staff is all independent contracted made to look like a company when it's really one guy trying to protend he'a a company. RUN!!! read more

We hired Steve based on his reviews. However, our experience with him was singularly unpleasant and, thankfully, short. He worked for us for three months. During that period, anytime our pool had a serious issue, Steve's stock response for not coming over was that he was too busy. Makes me wonder now why he accepted us as his customer if he was anyway stretched too thin. Last week was the last straw - Steve was away on vacation and he left our specialty ozone pool in the hands of Josh who turned our pool motor off on the hunch that it was overheating. When I objected and asked him to do the repair instead, Josh confessed that he is not equipped to do it! Really? Why is an untrained guy here to take care of our ozone pool? Josh offered to send someone in next day to take care of the issue and I agreed, hoping for the best. No one comes in to do our repair for the next five days. When I reached out to Steve about this, he responded brusquely stating that he would send someone but cannot say at what time. On top of that unhelpful response, same day, I receive Steve's text to his colleague in which he bad mouths me. The text got mistakenly forwarded to me, I am sure. But it clearly shows up Steve's poor character. We have already moved on to a better place and have found a really good pool cleaner who fortunately knows how to treat his customer with respect and dignity. At minimum, I have learnt a good lesson not to believe a smooth talker like Steve - just want to pass on my experience. read more
