We ate here on Saturday afternoon. We both ordered salmon with potatoes and vegetables. I liked the potatoes but loved the salmon. It was very tasty with a honey mustard cream on top. Almost perfectly cooked. The service was not great. The lady who took care of us was not the best, she brought the bread with no butter and she did bring the butter to the people of the table next to us. Even when I asked she forgot to bring us the paper napkins I asked her for. We sat inside but the have outside seating too. They had live music and that's why the waiting time to seat outside with the amazing ocean view was over 30 min. Since we were hungry we sat inside and it was fine. The prices are reasonable. Okay food and decent service but horrible sand fleas. Beware, if you sit outside you will get bit.

The food was alright and service was a mediocre. I came in with a group of six people for outside seating and they put us in the back left corner right next to the dumpster. Beware of all the bugs that are outside because you are going to get bit the whole time. After moving the table away from the back we were still itching and wiping the bugs off of us. Many bugs like nats and moths were flying into my friends food. Make sure when you eat here you sit inside! Hopefully the service is better in there too. read more

Shuckers is located in a hotel on the water. You have this very long stretch of road with many ocean view restaurants but I would definitely recommend stopping here. The reviews weren't that great on Yelp, but my experience was amazing. Our server is name Kaitlyn and she was phenomenal. I would definitely recommend asking for her because we couldn't have asked for a better server. We showed up hour before closing so it was slowly clearing up. The inside restaurant is very nice but let's be honest... it's the deck part that matters. The amazing ocean views and the sound of the ocean waves. We didn't see the ocean view since it was so late and no lights are allowed because of the turtles. The outside deck has lots of sitting and you have an outside bar as well as an inside bar. The food menu has so many great choices and for a seafood lover, this is pure joy for me. We ordered conch fritters which were tasty that had a nice dipping sauce. I ordered the mahi tacos that comes with a side of jalapeños and rice as my side choice. This was definitely a great decision and I'm beyond happy with my food. My boyfriend ordered the honey mustard salmon dish. The flavors were on point and I couldn't not help pick at his dish. For dessert we ordered the peanut butter pie which ended the meal just right. I wonder if its house made or something just shipped to them. It had just the right amount of peanut butter and sweetness. Maybe I'll ask next time. For the dog lovers, apparently they once allowed dogs but there is a sign stating they no longer allow them. I'm sure somebody ruined it for everybody. read more

First time having the Lobster Roll so have nothing to compare it to. Husband had the grilled fish Reuben but not compared to a regular Reuben, no kraut, no melted Swiss cheese. The sandwich arrived wrong and when it came back "supposedly" correct still look like a regular sandwich. MIL order of mussel was incorrect.. asked for white wine sauce but got the one with sausage. MIL didn't want to make the change as we will be waiting again. Arrived with no help for almost 10 minutes. Had to go back to the host stand to get help. We ended up getting a free entree but it's not like we couldn't pay, just wanted our food to come out right. But will trunk this place again. Menu has entrees worth trying. read more

We visited Shuckers to get a snack and beer. Beautiful views of the beach. We were there on a Saturday afternoon. My husband and I both ordered the clam chowder. It was fantastic and full of clams. Beer was cold. Down side - they need more fans as it was hot sitting at the outside bar. The band was setting up and started to play just before we left. Honestly, the only reason this review doesn't have only one star is because of our waiter, Charlie. He was fantastic! We were told there was a 30 minute wait for outside seating. Okay. Not a problem. The restaurant interior seemed rather empty. Our child wanted to see what it looked like outside so we went to walk to the beach while we waited for our table. As we walked to the outdoor seating, there were many open tables. First thought, they're short handed. No big deal. We can wait. A waiter walked by and politely asked if we'd been seated yet. We said no, but we were on the waitlist. He looked around confused as to why we were waiting with so many open tables. First, We were seated next to garbage. There were trash cans located behind the bamboo wall. The flies were awful. So we asked to move. A new waiter moved us to a high top table. We ordered drinks from one waitress. She was clearly unhappy that we moved and told us we'd have a new waiter. Okay, no problem. Charlie came, was very personable. Offered suggestions. Made our kids laugh. The food took a lot longer than expected. My husband ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos, as suggested by our waiter. I only ordered warmed peel and eat shrimp (my favorite beach meal). Our kids ordered kids chicken fingers and fries. We waited. And waited. And waited. Food finally arrived. The rice with the Mahi was bland. The tacos were, okay. The kids weren't excited about the chicken...which never happens. They were incredibly salty and were almost not eaten. But the kids were hungry after a day at the beach. The peel and eat shrimp. They were hard to peel and were incredibly rubbery and overcooked. The seasoning was...different. I expected some spices like old bay or even garlic. This had almost a cinnamon or nutmeg taste to it. It might have been okay, but with the struggle of trying to peel shrimp that were overcooked, I think it was just "meh". And the butter...it was weird. It tasted just like oil. It kept separating in the little cup. So I didn't even use it after the first shrimp. But again, we were too hungry to complain. It was edible. So we ate. We just figured we'd eat and would probably not come back to this restaurant. 60 minutes after getting to our hotel room, my husband is dealing with food poisoning. He said he felt like his mahi-mahi wasn't cooked thoroughly while he was eating, but he didn't think it would be an issue. Well, he was wrong. So, no. The ambiance, food and service is wonderful. It is a perfect place to go and have great food on the beach at an affordable price. Their service staff is excellent and some nights they have live music. It's a casual atmosphere but if you want to celebrate a special occasion, it's perfect for that as well. Most go here for the ocean view which is hard to get as tables are limited. Dining inside is on the loud side. The food was good - I had the Poke Bowl and it as good but nothing special. Came back here for my mom's birthday on St. Patrick's Day. I had a pretty similar experience to my last one, except that I was forced to eat inside because all of the outdoor seating was taken. We tried getting lunch at 3:30 since we thought that it would be a time when nearly nobody was there. That was true for half of the time we were there, as it started to weirdly fill up. The most disappointing part of it was that they did not enforce mask wearing, nor did they socially distance the tables. So if you are worried about COVID, either don't come here or come at a really unusual time. Anyway, the food was delicious. I recommend the shrimp tacos. However, my dad hated the salmon, and he had to send it back since it was undercooked. I would come back but only when I am fully vaccinated. read more

Thee food here was phenomenal! I had the Clam Chowder and Fish Tacos. The chowder had huge chunks of potatoes and clams and the broth was creamy and well seasoned. The Tacos were made with grilled Mahi (one of my favorite fish) with slaw, pico and an avocado cream sauce. Loads of flavor! Direct access to the beach and beautiful outdoor patio dining. Great spot on the beach for a beer and some nosh. Or server Charlie was excellent. Can't beat the views. I thought the food was good, not great but I would come back. I had the conch ceviche. It came with more nachos than ceviche but it tasted fresh and the flavors were well composed. Other diners at my table had the fried calamari that looked excellent, not greasy at all, although I couldn't partake because of a diet. The only good thing about this place is the view of the ocean. Food sucks here. Drinks are way watered down. Had the seafood ravioli and it was so bland had to cover it in red chili peppers. I got a burger; asked for it medium-rare and it came well done. It wasn't bad -- just "meh" as I said before. Mango daquiri was average; I've had much better elsewhere. Prices were average-to-high.
