On the beach! We are outside in a covered tiki bar. We ordered appetizers and main courses. Dinner for 7 . Service was great . They added service to bill given the size of our party. Outdoor seating with a somewhat limited view of the Atlantic. The dunes obscure the view a bit, but it is nice to have this view while you dine. We went on a Saturday for lunch and they were packed. Great service and the food came out quickly. Fun cocktail menu and good selection of draft beer. Hubs got the Grouper Reuben which he loved. I got the Mahi Coconut entree which was good but not as amazing as I wanted it to be. Prices are very reasonable. Great place on the beach for lunch! We will try happy hour soon! read more

Met some friends for drinks and lunch for a birthday. We asked to be seated outside by the ocean view. You have to walk through the inside restaurant, the odor was unpleasant. I ordered a mojito. When it arrived, I noticed the mint looked odd. I pulled it out, slimey black. Gross. I ended up drinking a canned adult beverage to avoid a mixed drink. The food was okay. Nothing spectacular. The Service was pretty good. The live entertainment was good also. Those are the only reason for any stars. read more

We had a great view of the Atlantic Ocean in Jensen Beach as we were seated at the outdoor patio. I had the Stuffed Flounder $21.95 with crab and sauce. It came with a vegetable and I had the mashed potatoes. It was really delicious. Our server was very nice. read more

Shuckers is my families longest standing tradition. Every year we make our way down to see my grandparents, this place is on the list. This year was no different! Last week, eight of us arrived to the feeling of nostalgia and the smell of fresh air right off the beach. Shuckers is part of a hotel that sits right on the ocean. Their sprawling patio is huge and looks directly at the splashing waves. Nothing like the sound of the ocean, paired with beach music, to accompany you for lunch. Our group was sat on the far end of the patio near the stage. It being a Monday afternoon, there wasn't any live music but it's sure a fun time when there is. The server was quick to take all drink orders and soon arrived back with a few margaritas and chilled brews. The menu is massive. Literally so many options it makes it hard to decide. Good thing most of us get the exact same thing every time (insert more nostalgia). Crispy Grouper Ruben for the win! Also, the Mahi Tacos are to die for. I split the Grouper Sandwich and a salad with my sis-in-law and we were both so happy with the freshness of each bite. Warning: generous portions will make you full. We stopped here for a quick drink while driving the coast. It's a cool little local spot tucked behind a hotel. We had hoped to have a great ocean view with some drinks but the bar sits a little below a sandbar preventing a good view of the water. 12/6/2023 - 2:30pm Wife left CC at gift shop ( 2 days ago) so we made another trip to Hutchinson Island. ( brought MOM along from Vero ). Turns out when mom lived at Sea Point Twr's, she & her husband came to Shuckers all the time 15 yrs ago. What a lovely walk down memory lane. Lunch was good. BUT ....... No Happy Hour drinks !! Ugh :-( Our waiter was Tyler !! He gave Halley Berry ( see previous review) some serious competition ! Together they're the "A" Team. Directly on the ocean this Jensen Beach resort has a real gem of a restaurant called Shuckers that's not pretentious and serves some of the best food in the area in a fabulous atmosphere that is tiki-like and casual that makes for a relaxing and fun dining experience. There's both inside or outside dining with bars in both areas as well. Dogs used to be allowed outside but that has been restricted now to service puppies. They do have live music but th schedule varies,it's a cool environment. While my friends, who actually have their snowbird home nearby, have been there multiple times and had great things to say about their seafood, apps and drinks my friend Bill and I were on a different mission, RIBS! He knows that I'm BBQ savvy having lived in NC and Memphis and had lots of pig in TX and KC so during a Q conversation he suggested we go here. So let's talk about the food ..... Even though ribs was the mission I couldn't pass up the chance to grab their conch fritters and conch chowder, two of my absolute favorites. The fritters were quite good but the chowder was some of the very best I've ever had, seriously well done. So next up was the full rack of ribs (only $19.95) a very tasty vinegar coleslaw and steak fries. While the ribs were missing the Memphis smoke they were fall off the bone tender with a very nicely seasoned and cooked that has a perfect amount of mild sauce that I quite enjoyed. I will visit here again on my next visit no doubt. The menu here is loaded with seafood options from grouper, flounder and tuna to shrimp, lobster rolls and of course oysters but they have some eclectic fare like Margherita pizza, NY strip, Cubans, quesadillas, burgers,chic parm and more so something for most tastes. Vegans can get a plant based burger or vegetarian Greek wrap and a nice selection of salads is also available. Bottom line: Prices are reasonable and a good value because the food is very good, the service is outstanding (Charlie was great) and the Island Beach Resort's huge oceanfront covered deck with panoramic view is one of the very best on Hutchinson Island. Let me start by saying this place gives me old cruise ship vibes, and there is no beach view at all. The dunes are blocking any view and ocean breeze. With that said our waitress was great and the food was pretty day good too. I had the shrimp flatbread and it was amazing. read more

Definitely recommend the Thai shrimp and conch fritters. Don't recommend the spicy margarita since it had way too many jalapeño seeds in the drink. Great ambiance right on the water, staff was friendly, attentive and more importantly, they are dog friendly. read more

It's the most overpriced and overrated place in Hutchinson Island . It's a locals favorite and don't ask me why. Good is terrible and microwaved, expensive and water down drinks. Oh and it has this funky smell when you walk in . I'm a native Floridian and Basically not recommended. read more

Came here for dinner, the food and service were both 5 star. Right on the beach beside the ocean so the view was awesome. We were there for happy hour and the vodka-cranberry's were only $3. I had the fish tacos and the portion was huge. Also had the conch chowder which was awesome. The wife had shrimp salad and the other meals were lobster roll, and tuna burger. All of the meals and drinks were delicious. We will definitely return when we visit again. read more

We went last nite with friends. It's a happenin place. We went early and it was hoppin. We got a high top, our server Vanessa was pretty awesome. My old fashioned was ok. We had the Thai shrimp very yummy! Also the onion rings which were good but a bit greasy. I had the coconut shrimp app for dinner and coleslaw, both great. Shrimp cooked perfect and the coconut batter was tasty, the slaw was fresh and perfectly crisp with a nice dressing. My husb had the fried shrimp and fries w/ ale he really enjoyed; friends had the fish and chips. We liked their flexibility where one didn't want fries she got a double slaw. Let me start by saying we loved the food at Shuckers so much that we ate here three times during our Hutchinson Island weekend vacation. The food and service were consistently amazing all three times. We had the raw oysters, mahi mahi, chicken sandwich, and chicken parmigiana. Can't pick a favorite because they were all equally delicious. The drinks were also worth the visit. This place is a popular spot that always draws a crowd. There's indoor and outdoor dining. If you sit outside, you're right by the ocean. Inside is quieter unless it's a weekend night! They had live music and a busy dance floor. read more

Food and service from Jenna was excellent!!!! Not sure who hired the entertainment but if I wanted to be in Jamaica we would visit. Maybe a lower volume????? Jenna is a keeper and we hope to see her again. 3 Stars for Manager's flippant attitude as he said the entertainer leaves soon- we are finished dining and left sooner... maybe entertainers are more important than a paying client. Upon arrival we were told outside was first come first served. We picked a table specifically bc of the location of the fan. After being seated and waited on, the table beside us arrived. Complaining of the heat, Candace our waitress said to us, we have to share the fan with others and proceeded to move ours from above us to accommodate the next table, only placing the breeze towards them. As if, she's saying ...I've already served you and built my ticket so I'm done with you. Well Candace, we're done with you as well. Favoritism doesn't work in the service business. I hope you enjoyed your tip as much as we enjoyed sweating. Anyway, the food was great, but something has got to be done about how your patrons are treated. A big FY to Candace though!!! read more

I'm pretty sure Covid-19 doesn't exist at Shuckers. That being said, dine at your own risk. My boyfriend and I have both been vaccinated (thank goodness, RN and teacher here). The patrons at the bar were right next to each other - there was no social distancing. The tables were all very close together on the patio and nothing was 6 feet apart. It really makes me wonder because the average age of the clientele here is about 60 years old...are they vaccinated or do they just not care? Ya'll are high risk! I digress. The view from the patio is splendid. The service was a bit slow, but you could tell the servers were running their butts off. It was packed at about 5:30pm on a Friday. We ordered pina coladas. They were perfection. We ordered a dozen raw oysters and a half dozen raw clams. Delicious and fresh. We also ordered the coconut shrimp and the ahi tuna. Yum and yum. The batter on the coconut shrimp was perfect and made for a perfect crunch. The tuna was fresh. Last but not least we ordered the seafood cannelloni. I wasn't a huge fan but my boyfriend loved it. So all in all, decent food! Like I said, if you aren't scared of covid, definitely give this place a try! If it was pre-covid times, I bet this place had the coolest vibes!
