I purchased a mustang here in 2024, the F & I manager named Jason O'Leary was extremely pushy with his addons and threw a fit when I told him NO to his extended warranty and he then had me fill out paperwork outside of his office, haha, normally I'd just walk but I wanted the car. There was a TPMS sensor light on and my salesman 'Ziggy' asked the mechanic to check why twice, of course the mechanic found no issues and claimed the light would go off. I took it to a tire shop later that day and they found no tpms sensors in the wheels, despite the service dept claiming there were. I did email the dealership asking for them to pay for them and they ignored my emails just like they will ignore this yelp review. The car was great for the time that I owned it and sold it. Salesman good, F & I bad, Service Dept bad. 2 stars. Yeehaw. read more

Pushy, unorganized, not very helpful if it's not what's best for them. I went in with a wish list of a few features/color on a super duty. They set me up with a newer sales rep with no experience with super duty trucks. He at least tried his best to help. Unfortunately for him several older guys felt the need to interrupt us while talking. They didn't have what I was looking for. I was told they would look around. Bill Spader then took the time to come over with a pushy low effort sales grab. Wanted to get me to buy a truck that night. He never listened to my requests so he didn't know what I was looking for. Then he proceeded to lie and tell me the financing special would end that week. Luckily I'm more educated then the Ford commerical manager so I knew the deal was good through the end of year. He played dumb when I pointed that out. I gave them another chance and called in to see if they were looking around at all like they said they would. Bought a 2017 Ford Escape, along with an extended warranty that cost $3,200.00 In the last 7 years I had to have the engine replaced first, then the Transmission with was out of warranty. Then the new engine needed turbo hoses, a new turbo, motor mounts, And now I need a 3rd Transmission. If I do this it would be another $7,000.00 out of my pocket plus the over $14,000. I dropped my car off there. December 29th 2025, with my transmission slipping. I was told in 3 to six weeks my car would be fixed, and as of today, march 23rd 2026, there's absolutely nothing done with my car, never ordered a transmission, never worked on it. Never nothing. I have tried to get them to help me with all the finances that I have had to pay since my car has been in there. And they wouldn't do nothing. I also got my car towed out of there and sent to another mechanic because they just keep giving me the runaround about what's going on with the transmission? I've had to drive up there just to get them to call my warranty. I've had to call their phone 719 times just to get an answer. And yeah, it's absolutely horrible service.And I wouldn't recommend anybody together three months later.And nothing's done with my car, that's sad. read more

Came in for a noise in my sunroof. They agreed they could duplicate and could fix the problem. The issues was bigger than expected.... The issue also resulted in: My windshield needing replaced. My passengers door needing painted My passengers door handle needing replaced Over spray clear-coat all over my passengers window Dent in my hood that needed fixed Some sort of discoloration I'm assuming from the detail to both fog lights Scratches on an inside panel piece of trim. I purchased a 2019 Edge at Shults South on 1/ 11/25 for $12, 208. I also traded in my 1 owner 2007Explorer XLT with sunroof, leather , 6cd changer and park assist and in good to very good condition. I was told that the the under carriage was rusting out and probably wouldn't pass inspection and would be sent to auction. I later find out that my trade was listed on their website and call for price. Even worse i find out online that the Edge I purchased was now reduced to $9, 998 on their Wheeling website the site where I originally saw the vehicle. I went back to Shults South today to see what was going on but received the run around. I'm no done pursuing this matter and will not stop until I get a rational answer as to what is going on.. I read the reviews, and even chatted to the sales guy about them, they said they changed everything around - Flew in from Maine to the Burgh to buy an 2021 F150 Lariat... Breakdown everything was solid.. Final paperwork they hit me with a $1,500 Notary fee... $25 fee... Talk about greedy... I didnt notice is because I had a 11 hour drive back home to Maine. and they were doing everything to get me on the road...Taking advantage of that... . Their finance guy may be the best...the best at screwing people out of their money. I made an appt at 1:30pm on a Fri 2 weeks ago for my car to get looked at because the issue was possibly under warranty. I was called day before asked if the car could be there at open. So, I dropped it off early. That Friday morning got a call from Scott to let me know *IF* it is the TCM codes that could take awhile. Fine. He will call me to let me know after it is hooked up. Heard nothing back... until I was able to get ahold of Scott myself on the following Tue. The car was never hooked up despite having an appt. Said he get it done that day and call me back..... heard nothing until I got a hold of a Tyler that following Friday. Said it was another issue going to cost $850. Said let me figure out money and if I could swing the cost. Called later that day to no answer, walked in Sat and spoke to Tyler in person told him let's move forward. Said ok, I asked how long said the "one part would be a day out, so Monday maybe Tuesday at the latest" I said ok and left. Tue comes and goes...called no answer, left vm, had other people say manager would call back, nothing... Now we are on Friday yet again 2 week since my original appt. FINALLY got ahold of Tyler said it's done but needs a test drive. No reasoning on why the hell no one has called, or why it's taken so long. I am normally a very patient individual, but wtf. We needed to have our truck serviced and were a bit apprehensive given Covid. We were thankful to hear that Shultz was offering door to door service. We were able to schedule a day for them to come pick the truck up from our home. They called that day before leaving to come pick it up. They took it to the dealer, performed the work and delivered it back to our house. The most impressive thing was the precautions they took for covid. I looked out the window and saw the gentleman sanitizing the truck thoroughly prior to even getting inside it. He wiped everything down, even the seats. The gentleman who brought the truck back went through the same sanitizing procedure after he got out of it. We felt really safe knowing they were being so careful. read more

1/15/19 UPDATE: Sometimes you just need to speak up a little to get some satisfaction. The Service Manager just called me and made it right. He explained that they only have loaner cars for Ford Motor Company covered repairs- recalls & such and that they honestly didn't have any to offer me last Monday. He also offered to compensate me for my time, which I accepted. The offer was a compromise and I'm happy with it. 1/9/19 - Went in because my high beams stopped working then the flip switch on the column got really loose and it was difficult to flip my turn signals on. Made the appointment for a Monday at 3:30pm, rented a car because they told me they wouldn't give me a loaner, dropped the truck off on Sunday and got a call on Monday around 10am that it was finished. Picked it up Monday night and realized driving it off the lot that the turn signals wouldn't turn themselves off (cancel). WHY WASNT THIS CHECKED BEFORE THEY CALLED ME??? $500 in work & parts and it's still not fixed??? . Gave it a day since sometimes it takes things a little time to work themselves out, but nothing. Called Sturman Larkin to get another appointment, this time I made it for 6:30pm, raced home from work to get out there, checked in and it was fixed in about 20 minutes. Why couldn't this be fixed right the first time? If I had to pay you guys $100/hr for labor, and I had to waste over an hour of MY time getting back out there, shouldn't I get a $100 refund??? Terrible, called four times for service the first time I was put on hold then I got a busy signal. The second time I called I hit the prompt for service and after the phone rang twelve times the operator got on and suggested I call back. The third time I called I used the prompt for service the phone rang seven or eight times then someone picked up the phone and hung up, never saying a word. The fourth and last time I called I finally got to speak with someone I said are you guys pretty busy today and the reply I received was what do you want NOT how can I help you. I am not one to write reviews to often, but this was just wrong on many levels. A couple months ago I contacted Shults ford and shults ford south for info on when the 2022 explorers were due in, and kept in touch from time to time on some that were due in, after learning that one was due in soon that I wanted at Shults ford south, I called again let them know that I wanted it and to please call when it arrived. I was off work the day it arrived last week and received a early morning phone call from one of their salesman who worked out a deal with me on the phone for an out the door price for the 2022 and also a tentative price for my trade in and I let him know I would be on my way in a few minutes, by the time I got a shower not 15 minutes later, I got a call telling me don't bother coming in we just sold it to another customer. I asked to speak to his boss originally telling me he's the boss then after pressing him told me his boss was off that day then in Shults Ford Wexford. who I called and he blew it off like it was no big deal. Used to be you could make a deal shake a mans hand and trust that they would keep their end of the bargain, it's obvious Shults Ford does not hold the same integrity that this Marine Corps veteran does. got to wonder if the owner Richard Bazzy knows what kind of employees he has ? read more

Went to look at a vehicle and the vehicle should not have been placed in there website ready to sell. The front wheels had several dents in them. The tire on the passenger side was unsafe to drive on a chunk was takin out of the sidewall there was rubber hanging off the tire from being sliced and a bubble in the tire. I want to say my experience working with Shults was positive. We drove from VA to purchase a used Tesla. The salesperson was knowledgeable and "did his homework" learning about the vehicle. That being said, since Tesla is such a unique vehicle, only a Tesla shop can really do the best inspection. We had purchased the vehicle and after driving it for a few days, noticed it didn't dive smoothly. We called Shults and they said take it to Tesla and see what they say. Well, all breaks were basically shot. I was pleasantly surprised that Shults came back and said they would pay for all new breaks. Within a few days of sending them the invoice, we received a check in the mail. They went above and beyond to fix a situation that quite frankly was my problem since I already purchased the vehicle. I used to be a mechanic (don't like working on other people's car though). I enjoy working on my own. About 2 months ago I took my trunk in for an alignment at NTB. Found out my front end needed replaced. (Tie rod ends, centering link etc.) So I went on line and ordered all new Moog components. After I replaced them, I took it back in for another alignment. Passed with flying colors this time! So here we are Today. It's time for an inspection. Knowing that almost everything is new on my 2010 F250, I take it in to Ramsey Sturman Ford, anticipating a call that it was ready for pickup. The rep (Curt) says to me, "there is a lot of play in your front end. You are going to need new inner and outer tie rod ends and possibly a new center link." What?? Are you kidding me!! I just spent $750 in parts replacing that 2 months ago. He said they are after market parts and are all worn out. There is no way in hell. After I got my keys and went to get my truck, I laid on the ground and grabbed the center link. I couldn't even move it.... The tie rod ends and center link were as tight as they were 2 months ago! These people are crooks. They think everyone is oblivious to mechanical work. Well not this guy. You lost a customer on this scam!!!! You guys shouldn't even get 1 star! read more

Just a Vin Number at Shults South .......AVOID DEALER !!!! I was attempting to make a service appointment on 11/13/19 to have some recalls in addition to an idling issue taken care of . I have a Ford F150 w LESS THAN 45 K mile!!! I worked through the on line scheduling on Shults website . I was told I d be contacted to "confirm the appointment" I was never contacted!! ( was told "weve had issues w on line scheduling " ) I was driving to work later an hour later.- I called dealer from speaker phone in Truck .I gave my name and the scheduler first asked me about a vehicle I ve never owned. I was then asked for Vin number . I obviously could not provide due to DRIVING . The dealer wouldn't set service appointment W/O my providing the Vin number !! I asked them to call Ford corporate to obtain the number after appointment was set -( to save the customer some time and inconvenience) - they refused !!! We argued back and forth about the premise of a dealership maximizing profits vs. " satisfying the customer " ! I was told my business was not welcome there after speaking with a manager !! I m SURE if they were SELLING me a Vehicle they'd call any credit bureau they had to to make the sale !!! This is not your typical dealership. This dealership was recommended to me by multiple people and I am so glad I took their advice. They made everything from purchasing my car to servicing it easy. It is evident they keep their customers best interests in mind. I have family who worked in the car industry and they swear by this dealership. The Sturman & Larkin team has integrity and knowledge which is hard to find now days. Also, the service department is extremely knowledgable and I know I am in good hands here! I'm surprised to see a few bad reviews but I guess you'll always have negative folks who would prefer to take their car to a discounted garage than an accredited one. The salespersons here are great and easy to work with but when it comes to service forget about it. Just bought the car a couple months ago and I just wanted to get new brakes but apparently that's asking a lot from the service guys. I called in to check their hours since everything is up in the air with Covid-19 and I ask if he's got a spot open for brakes and he hangs up. I'm always working out of state or a couple of hours away but I try to always stay loyal to businesses that I live by but this is one that I will not be returning to just because of service. I think I may have made a mistake by buying two cars from here in the past couple months but I'll remember the poor attitudes and lack of work ethic when I go to buy my next vehicle. I went to Sturmin and Larkin Ford for a simple repair after I was cut off and had to swerve into a curb to avoid a collision. I dropped off my car and asked them to install a new tire and rim. They performed the job satisfactorily and I took my car home. However, after taking a look at my car in the daylight, I discovered they put a random tire on my car. It is not recommended to mix tires on the same axle since it reduces handling, especially important in Pittsburgh. When I called them about this, they mumbled that they told me that a tiger paw tire was going to be installed before they completed the work. Since these conversations all took place over the phone, I can not prove what was actually said but I know I would not have agreed to that. So, I took my car in again, but this time made sure I asked for the SAME, EXACT TIRE that is currently installed on my car. I must have sounded like a broken record, I mentioned it so many times. But, yet again, they installed the wrong tire and I needed to come for an additional visit. In parallel to the tire fiasco, I asked them to do some work that is covered by my warranty. Despite informing multiple times that I would only be charged $110, they charged me the full amount for the repair. I would NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone. Their incompetence at completing such a simple job proves that they can not be trusted with more difficult work. They were rude and defensive when I brought up issues I found and were not pleasant to work with. Save yourself some time and money and try a different dealership. read more

So glad to be done with this place! I purchased a 2009 Escape, back in 2009, and finally traded it in with another dealership yesterday! I cannot say how thrilled I am that I never have to pass through the doors of this service department again! After years of being treated poorly, dealing with Garret and his associates, who acted like they would rather have hot pokers in their eyes than help a customer, answer a simple question or even look at you as they are waiting on you! Never mind a good morning or have a nice day! I may add, that I have only been there for oil changes and inspections and a few minor things over the years. So nothing major and not a frequent flyer of big issues with the car, but 8 years of standard maintenance has been more than enough with this staff! I have filled out multiple surveys that have been sent to me about their service and never heard back from anyone. I always tell people to stay clear of this place. I also hear from many others that they have the same experience with the service department. I've never dealt with their sales department. Maybe the sales department is OK. I'm giving them a 1-star review for service. I went there twice for service. The first time, they wanted payment up front. When I went to pick up the car, they tried to bill me a second time. Luckily, I had the receipt. The second time, they kept my car for four days and then refused to honor the terms of my Ford warranty, so I had to take the car to another dealer. When I tried to complain to the service manager, Mrs. Larkin herself came out to yell at me, and tell me to leave. There won't be a third time. read more

My radio in my 2014 Ford Focus wasn't working. I took it there at 8am on a Monday. Tuesday at 3pm they called me with the diagnostic. I told them to go ahead and order the part the service writer said it would be in within the next two days since he ordered it before 5pm. No call Wednesday with an update. I call Thursday and the service writer had every excuse in the book why it wasn't done. I've been very understand because I myself work at a dealership. No call Friday at all from them. Finally the following Monday rolls around and I call at 1pm for an update. My service writer said he'll walk into the shop for an update and call me back. Never got a call back. My father called and they finally "fixed" my issue. I go in I pay $642 and get into my car for the problem to not be fixed. They're keeping my car AGAIN!!! This is ridiculous and never would've happened at my dealership with a customer. Why did they not make sure the radio was fixed before they told me to pick it up? read more

Don't take your vehicle to the body shop! Honestly, if it allowed me to rate them a below 1 star then they would rate a -1. Ford warranties are worthless, Fords quality of vehicles are junk. Never again will I do business with them. I called for a warranty question and what I was automatically told is "your warranty expired and we can't help you." I have an extended warranty but no one chose to look into it, I had to tell them, they never asked about it. So, here's my dilemma, my 2012 expedition paint started to bubble in the tail section and under the hood. The paint is now starting to peel and rust. This is a 2012, this should not be happening on the body, especially at this point!! The vehicle is under 5 years old- this issue is a manufacturers' defect. Ford won't stand by it and the dealership definitely doesn't stand by it. I spoke with John at the body shop. He was not helpful at all, just wanted to make money rather then taking care of the customer. Not asking for a free fix, but would have liked some assistance being this vehicle is a 2012 and I have an extended warranty on it. I will never buy another vehicle here again. The sales guy I had was not talkative nor friendly. He just wanted the sale and that was it. Not to mention he didn't give me a lot of info on the vehicle I bought that led to numerous issues for me later down the road. As for the service guys, they are completely rude (especially Scott) and honestly they make you feel like it's such a hassle for them when you need your vehicle serviced. They never take my vehicle on the appointment time and therefore I end up stranded there for double the amount of time promised.
