Second time here! Fast service & good food! Piña Colada's have been my go-to's since visiting St. Croix & they are delicious everywhere! Bathrooms are right behind the bar, just don't forget to grab the key! Waiters are fast & very nice! Highly recommend stopping by this bar when in Christiansted! I ordered the veggie burger (pretty much a black bean burger) and added grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, special sauce and other burger fixings. I also ordered the truffle parmesan fries , which I could only taste the parmesan, still tasty. My husband ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich and garlic parmesan fries. The bartender and money making scheme was a big turn off for me. Claim to be environmentally friendly while serving Drinks in plastic cups without straws. However, u can buy a "metal" straw for $1. Hypocrite much??? Dunno many people walking around with reusable straws sans cup but maybe I missed that trend. Plus they allow patrons to smoke near the bar area when the board walk is just a few feet away....doesn't sound very environmentally friendly to me. Within 2 mins of sitting at the bar, the Bartender complained, commiserated with her co worker and encouraged color commentary after a patron didn't want to pay for a straw (like anyone in their right mind would) and going as far as to complain about how he ordered his drink. She also complained about another patron paying for the bill with both cash and credit. Supposedly done in jest, it's still passive aggressive service and totally unprofessional to openly talk about customers after they leave. Oh and let's talk about the music. Ice cubes, "it was a good day" and a tribe called quest's "electric relaxation" was blasted in the background. Goes without saying that it was very uncomfortable to be the only non white person in a bar playing music using the n-word while the bartender sang along. Oh lets not forget that STX is a predominately black island. I suggest the owners of Shupes crawl before they walk by trying to be socially conscious before sprinting to "environmentally friendly". read more

Piña coladas taste like hell! But the bloody Mary's were awesome. The burgers were the best. The staff was nice and cool.

This is a tourist hot spot. You won't find a single local here. It is a big old spotlight on the beach with a bunch of clueless Hawaiian shirt clad moths banging against it. It's also a giant pain in the butt to reach the boardwalk. You have to park somewhere in old Christiansted, whose spaghetti streets are built for horses not cars, so good luck. After you park, you will have to walk over, but make sure you pull up the map on your phone to note your parking spot because you sure won't find a street sign. We waited like what seemed an eternity with a tired toddler banging her head against the wall (and us). There was no seating except high bar stools and high chairs, and drunk old men talking us up, so don't bring your family. You couldn't hear each other over the music anyway. The burger feels like it's trying to be a Five Guys or Counter burger rather than stand on its own. It's filling a niche for visitors that hasn't been filled by the big boys because the island isn't big enough to attract the tourist trap chains. It didn't exactly taste like a burger from the mainland either. It had a weird flavor that I can't put my finger on. Some kind of spice that didn't feel right. You could do a patty with spice that would work--just check out the best burgers in Florida--but this was not that. Sure there's a view, but there are views to be had all over the island. For a better burger (but even more of a wait), drive down the road to Cheeseburgers in America's Paradise. Or, better still, go to Kim's down the street and try some real, authentic Crucian food. Take it to go and get your view a few blocks away by eating it picnic style at the Fort Christiansvaern national historic site. You'll have a much tastier and more authentic experience than getting duped by Shupes. read more

Exceeded expectations! Definitely worth a stop in for a quick bite or cool beverage. The menu is simple which allows them to focus on flavor. Ordering is fun. Each person fills it out on a clipboard while they take in the oceanfront breeze. Your get your moneys worth here. That's for sure. I'm usually a skeptic when it comes to burgers on Caribbean islands but this place hit the mark. Big and juicy. Very filling. We also got a couple orders of truffle fries. Also great but way too much food for 3 people. Come on by. We'll be there again in a few days I'm sure! read more

Horrible service, asked about the specials and was told all out. Tried to order a mixed drink and was told they were all out. Tried to put in an order for food and was laughed at and told to write my own order down for them cause they wasn't writing it. Food is basically an overpriced Five Guys. It comes out in a paper bag and tin foil. Plenty of better options on the boardwalk. One downside is that Shupe's is one of the only places open real late, so if you want food on the boardwalk then you have settle. Don't waste your time! read more

We came here on one of our first nights because we were starving and couldn't find gluten free food. They were able to make us a burger in a lettuce wrap that was quite good. Of course I would have loved if they had a gluten free bun but the alternative was not bad and did the trick. I wasn't overly impressed with their fries but not bad either. The service was really slow, the waiter had me mistaken for someone else and apologized (appreciate the apology but mistaking someone for someone else is not good). Burger was great however the real issue is that I placed a second order for garlic wings and ice cream. The ice cream never arrived (no clue if I was charged for it) and the wings were absolutely ridiculous and disgusting, I didn't realize until I left. It was covered in a mountain of raw minced garlic, no sauce, no powder, just minced garlic, bizarre and inedible. And it was so wet it ripped the paper bag and spilled out. Horrible. read more

Food was great! Service was acceptable. I had the Siracha crispy chicken sandwich and it was amazing. You should eat it plain or qith pickles. Just my recommendation. The Cajun fries are also really good. My friend had the Cajun wings and said it hey were amazing. 10/10 for taste, 9/10 for service. Come here if you want a good meal after your adventure. read more

Take a GORGEOUS look at the ocean. This small bar/kitchen is situated in the heart of Christiansted city centre, right on the water! Spend your afternoons watching people rowing their dinghies from the dock to their boat in the harbor. Okay, you want a negative? Here you go... the service is slow. But guess what?! Shupes-Faux 5 Guys Good spot for a decent burger and great French Fries. Actually the Fries are Frites and would compare favorably to the Fries at 5 Guys. There is tourist dynamic pricing. So when ask for check they make a price up based on your tan. If your very pale (tourist) full price the darker you get the Cruzan discount kicks in. This is a pretty common here. So get your pale ass a spray tan and head too schupes. Drinks are strong. The menu is like sushi menu. Check of the stuff you want. Comes out in a paper bag. Schupes is probably the busiest place on the boardwalk. Locals and tourist. read more

This was our first time to St Croix and let me tell you, Mike at Shupe's was amazing. We met Mike the first night we were here and he took care of us from the get go. His customer service was on point and the whole reason we came back every night we were here. Mike has the best personality and blended so well with our group. We literally could have stayed and talked for hours. Our group is in the customer service industry so we know what the service industry is like and Mike exceeded all expectations. He rocks. If you get a chance to go to Shupe's ask for Mike. He's the man with the thick northern accent and the Patriots fan. Drinks And burgers are best in town. Love this place read more

I'm not sure if it's their normal mode of operation or just a Covid response but the orders are the customer filled out piece of paper that doubles as the menu. This works fine and the meal is delivered in a paper bag for each diner. The model works. The food is good but this is just one step up from fast food service. Our server came by the table frequently enough but there are no plates or silverware just your bag of food and whatever you orser from the bar. read more

Giving this 5 stars because of the great people I've met here on my vacation... Don't come here expecting fine dining, it's a board walk burger spot. You sit down, fill out a menu with a pen, your waiter/waitress will walk up eventually and bring you a drink and take your menu to the kitchen. Make sure you pick what you want because you might not see someone again until you leave. The waitress Andy is eye candy and the bartenders are amazing people. Good vibes all around. This review is only for the bar... We didn't try any good. I believe we were served by Alex though, vacation is over and I forget a lot of names. We stopped in on a whim after breakfast for a brunch cocktail, and had a few lively piña coladas and one of the best painkillers we had during our stay. The location is right on the boardwalk. Everyone working is super friendly, and the bathrooms were very clean (but you need to get the key from the bartender). A few other patrons were having food and seemed to be enjoying it, although we were stuffed. They have a pretty good vibe and I'm hopefully going to try them for food next time I'm in St. Croix. read more

The only reason I don't give 5 Stars... the seating arrangements in this place have no sheltered areas if it's windy or rainy, your food will fly away or get wet.
