Came for a late lunch/dinner. The employees were nice, friendly and helpful. You can pick and sit wherever. They do have a bar area as well. There are lots of options as for pizza, sandwiches, salads, etc. we got the wings which tasted good and didn't seem to taste like frozen. The jalapeño poppers were good too, seemed like they were made fresh. The pizza... well that was the downfall. We ordered two different flavors and it just seemed off. Looking to satisfy my pizza and wings craving, discovered this place close to the house and it had good ratings so I placed an online order. Meat lovers is always my go-to starting point if it's on the menu so I went with that and an order of the hot honey wings. Pizza had pepperoni, Italian sausage; bacon and chicken. Definitely different from typical meat lovers but pleasantly so. Sauce was a little sweet but not overly so and applied as to not overpower the pizza. Generous toppings, cheese in proportion to the rest as well. Overall very tasty pizza. Wings, I ordered the wings extra crispy to try to offset the damage of putting them in a takeout container and having them steam on the ride home. Unfortunately my theory was flawed that extra crispy was the answer to offset the takeout box sauna. I was disappointed to find the wings less than crispy. But this is clearly and commonly not the fault of the restaurant and a common symptom no matter where you get your wings if they aren't going to be eaten right away. Sauced nicely and served with some of the chunkiest blue cheese dressing I've ever had! I will definitely return soon for round two and dine in for a proper sampling of the wings. The baked wings were delicious! The pizzas cheese was too cheesy for me. It ended up being too much for me it ruined my appetite. The customer service was great though. They also charge you $1.25 for EACH TOPPING. Yes, every topping you see on my pizza was $1.25 each, ; the VEGETABLES WERE $1.25 EACH. I am California and let me tell you, they don't charge you over .50 cents for toppings that are veggies. Most places don't even charge you for vegetable toppings. We ordered delivery from Shy's Pizza & Wings and got a pepperoni and sausage pizza, half with mushrooms, plus boneless wings with sauce on the side and fries. After the order had already been picked up, we got a call saying we were going to receive the wrong pizza. Instead of what we ordered, it was half pepperoni, sausage, and mushroom and half Hawaiian. The person who called offered a credit for a future pizza, but my husband asked if we could just have the pizza refunded since it wasn't what we ordered. They agreed and, after some initial trouble figuring it out in the Toast app, they did refund the pizza. I genuinely appreciated that they followed through and made it right. As for the food itself, the pizza wasn't bad overall, but it was very heavy on the oregano, like borderline too much. The ranch was honestly not good at all. The boneless wings were tasty though, and the buffalo sauce was solid. Unfortunately the fries tasted like old fryer oil, which was a bummer. Mixed experience. Was craving pizza and wings and wanted to try a new place. I'm glad I found Shy's Pizza & Wings. First of all the service is amazing. Our server Ava was great. She was friendly and attentive. We ordered the appetizer combo. I enjoyed everything in the combo, especially the wings. We also ordered a pepperoni and bacon pizza which was really good. A gentleman (I believe he was the manager) came to our table and gave us a menu to take home and explained how everyday there are different specials. I went here last week on a Monday. I asked about the pinto beans on the Shy's pie pizza, and they said the marinara sauce is replaced with pinto beans.. I was thrown off by it, but decided to give it a shot. I got a medium Shy's pie pizza. Took about 15 mins. I found out when I arrived that Tuesdays are pizza BOGO days!! Missed out by 1 day! They have some really good deals here! The place was about 75% packed as well. The gentleman and the young lady were very polite and respectful! Now to the pizza.. it tasted really good actually! I dont think I could tell there was a replacement and I had half the pie down by the time I got home! I will say it's not great cold.... But I'm the only weirdo that eats it both ways. Ok 10s across the board. Interior is very unassuming, don't let it fool you. I can't think of a place where I've had THIS fresh of tasting food in a hot minute. Everything comes out HOT. They even have a ginormous 28"pizza that's HUGE and is the biggest I've ever seen! (Think Costco on steroids) large enough to feed an army much less your family or group! The garlic cheese bread was just like slices of toast with garlic and cheese on it, I was expecting more like a crusty loaf and a slightly larger portion. The pizza is very cheesy, the crust was not bad! Only complaint would be that it was a bit too greasy and the ranch was kinda bad. Ok so I was in Gilbert looking for pizza & wings. Shy's Pizza & Wings is a must-try. I got the pepperoni pizza it was tasty, with a good undercarriage, flavorful sauce, and generous toppings. They have a nice selection of specialty pizzas on their menu. Their wings are really good, best I have had in a while. I would get them crispy, I had the Buffalo hot but they also have Buffalo mild. And whatever you do, don't skip the garlic knotts. They are next-level, delicious, soft, buttery, and come with their marinara sauce. Honestly, you have to give them a try. Happened to stop by for lunch on my way home from a doctor's appointment. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and sausage pizza, well done. With a diet coke. Their slices are huge! I thought the cheese, pepperoni, sausage, and the crust was really good. The sauce was different. At first I wasn't sure if I liked it. But then the more I ate the pizza, the more I liked it. We enjoyed our visit. The staff is super warm and friendly! As other reviews have mentioned, the food ces out super hot and fresh which is refreshing compared to other places. The crust is perfect, not too thick or thin. I even enjoyed my leftovers more than the original serving. They have specials almost every day as well as happy hour and lunch deals. We will be back! We have been wanting to try Shy's for awhile so we stopped by last week and we were so happy we did. It was lunch time and there was a good mix of people and the atmosphere was the same as when it was a former Italian restaurant. Which we loved and ate at back in the early 2000's . The manager was so helpful and even brought us a sample from the menu. Friendly is putting it mildly as he was so accommodating we just love it. The food was far and above other Italian food in similar restaurants. It was plentiful and very tasty. You really get a lot of food for the money. We will return often. The spice wasn't bad. My food was delivered relatively quick for GrubHub, although I'm not sure how long it sat outside my door, they didn't knock or message me. OK, let me start off by saying that the name does not fit the vibe of this place. It's very nice inside and the quality of food is outstanding. They have to have the best garlic knots I've ever had. Shy's special pizza with the refried bean base was AMAZING. The BLT pizza tasted like a crispy blt sandwich. The crust is thinner and they only come one way. I first went to Shy's on February 12, 2025. I thought about doing two different reviews, but I decided to combine them and give the average score on this review. This is a brand, new pizza and wings Restaurant right around the corner from my house, I never went to the pizza place that was there before, but Shy's just opened a few months ago. When I went there the first time on the 12th I had just been released to start eating again the week before. I hadn't eaten in two months, I've been on IV nutrition with clear liquids only so I was slowly adding back food. This is a very important comment when it comes to today's visit. On the 12th I ordered chicken wings and fried zucchini. For their chicken wings they only have mild and hot buffalo sauce and I usually get medium, I wanted to know how hot the hot sauce was and the server was kind enough to get me a sample that I tasted and it was definitely OK for me. Both appetizers were amazing! A five star rating for that visit for sure! Today, February 27, 2025, I went back to order a pizza, my first pizza since last year. Not that I eat pizzas all the time, but since I hadn't eaten in several months, it was sounding so good and I was so excited. I had looked at the pictures online, The crust looked amazing a good crust, puffy crust, not too thick and definitely not too thin according to the pictures on the website. I called in my order, I ordered the fried zucchini again because it was so good last time. And then I ordered a 10 inch pizza. I told the gentleman that answered that I wanted the regular cross and definitely not thin crust. The anticipation of eating this pizza was growing by the minute, and I was so excited to have my first pizza in months! The very nice gentleman brought my meal out to me to take home, and he specifically showed me the pizza and my heart sank, I looked at it, and I looked at it again, I even walked out to my car, and I sat in my car and looked at it again, and I just couldn't accept it. Please see the pictures there is no crust. It was not even as thick as a cracker. I marched back in and I said this is nothing like the pictures on your website of how you're crust is, and he kinda looked at it and said it looks like he might've played with it too much?! Do you want me to cook you another one well I really didn't wanna wait another 20 or 30 minutes and I was just so disappointed at that point and I wasn't even sure if they'd get it right the second time. So the gentleman refunded the money for my pizza to me and let me take the pizza. The other issue is, I asked for extra cheese, which I should've never done on a thin cracker crust because it made it too greasy there was no crust to hold up extra cheese! Please see the pictures of the floppy pizza. I ate a piece and threw the rest away. It was just too greasy, too much cheese for a thin cracker crust. And yes, I was refunded the pizza whether I ate it or not, but not sure I will return. I don't trust them to make the crust correct. I was told by the gentleman that I needed to make sure I said to make it fluffy next time I'm not even sure what that means. I just want the regular crust that's on their website that people have ordered and they aren't professional business pictures, They're actually client pictures of pizza that has been ordered. I want that crust! Overall, a very disappointing trip to Shy's and for today's visit I would've given them three stars, and that's even generous. So between the two visits, the average is four stars. But unless you like cracker crust, apparently you have to tell them you want normal crust, again I'm not exactly sure what that means and why that has to be spelled out?! I had such high hopes for Shy's.... The service there is amazing and the young blonde lady and the gentleman that helped me, were very amazing and tried to rectify the situation. But my trust has been lost. I just didn't realize how difficult it was to get a decent crust. read more
