My husband and I stopped in for a late dinner after running some errands and were welcomed by the most pleasant staff. They were very friendly and even offered a few recommendations, which we appreciated. I went with the Italian stromboli, while my husband opted for the meatball, sausage, and pepperoni stromboli. Both looked fantastic, but we agreed that the meatball version had more flavor and was much heartier. The Italian stromboli was a little light on meat, making it feel a bit too bread-heavy for my taste. We also ordered the garlic cheese knots, and those were pretty darn good--soft, cheesy, and full of flavor. Overall, we had a great experience and enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere. Despite my stromboli not quite living up to expectations, we'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu. read more

We went to the Mesa location and did not like that they used those cheap paper plates for us to put our pizza on. We asked for a regular plate and they gave us small dessert plate. The pizza slice was bigger than the plate itself. The pizza itself tasted good however we couldn't taste garlic and not a fan of very thinly sliced Italian sausage. Unless they invest in a heavy plate we won't go back. read more

This is a very authentic NY spot. It's a an homage to everything NY. The decor, the food, they have a couple more coolers full of NY groceries. I am gluten free and ordered the gluten free pizza which unfortunately was not one of the best I have had in the valley, edible but not delightful. My husbands pizza was amazing and the wings were super great, this is one of my husband's favorite pizza places. We will definitely be back, the service was top notch and they do have other gluten free options. I'm going to try the cauliflower crust next time. I just did the regular gluten free. read more

How have I not been here before! Both the Pizza & wings are some of the best I've had in Arizona since leaving NY

I have always wanted to try this place out as we have driven past multiples times. I finally made it in on Saturday night and I brought along my sister and friend. We were quickly greeted as we walked in and told to pick a table. We sat down and the friendly server brought us the menus. She gave us a few minutes to look them over and we were finally ready to order. We ordered: One large "the works" pizza One order of 6 boneless wings One Pepsi One rasberry iced tea The wings were brought out first and they were good. They were the perfect hot level and they were breaded perfectly to where we could see that there was actually chicken inside. The pizza was then brought out right as we finished our wings. It came out very hot and it was cooked perfectly as it had a nice crunch to it. The sausage was delicious and the onions were yummy. The slices are big! We had two left over and they still tasted great the next day. Service was great throughout our meal and our server was friendly. They were pretty busy the entire time we were there and most people had to go orders. The inside was clean and the mural / pictures they have up on the walls were fun to look at. The main doors to come in are pretty cool as it is a picture of a subway. read more

I've tried many pizza restaurants and I have to say, the pizza here is unique from most in the area. I had what I thought would be a basic cheese pizza slice (called "Napolitan Slice" on their menu). Yet, I was amazed at how perfectly crunchy the crust was in every bite. It has the perfect flop that every New-York-style pizza has, but it's not soggy whatsoever. There is a plentiful amount of cheese and the seasoning is pleasantly distinctive. Based on my pizza endeavors, I think it's safe to say that this restaurant has their pizza down to a science. If this is how good their simplest type of pizza is, I can only imagine how divine their other slices taste. What's more, our server was really generous and gave me and my friend an extra drink since they knew we were splitting the lunch special. The staff even gifted us free fries as an appetizer (which were seasoned beautifully btw, I would order again)! All of the staff here are very welcoming, friendly, and attentive. This pizza restaurant is a great business to support, and I am excited to try more of their menu next time I'm in the area. read more

Awful! Ordered the "Margherita Stracciatella pizza pie" So overcooked the sauce was dried into the dough. Thinner than a cracker. No NY flop to it. And it was not 27". $30bucks and still had to take the hubby out to eat. read more

Pizza was good. Except the crust edges were a little too crispy. Chefs salad was very good and lived the Italian dressing. Tiramisu was not edible. Skip that. Server very fast and knowledgeable. Was a little busy and only 1 person working the phones, take out and waiting on tables. But we did not wait too long. read more

I've been looking for NY/NJ style pizza since 2006 and I think I have finally found it at Buonos! I tried it for the first time last night and ordered the white pizza and the drunk chicken. Loved how the white pizza had ricotta like traditional white pizzas in NJ and the vodka sauce + chicken cutlets were great. This will be my go to pizza place when I'm craving good pizza. read more

We ordered a large antipasto salad and a large pizza with half pepperoni and half sausage. The salad was huge and very tasty. A ton of fresh vegetables, meat and cheese.
