This place has seen some impressive changes as of late. New menu, new furniture, friendlier wait staff, and their complimentary chips and salsa also comes with bean dip! The food is what I would say is far above par of other Mexican restaurants in the area. Good prices, generous portions, and they don't skimp on the alcohol. Even during busy times, the service is very fast and quick to refill drinks and chips. It's a solid business lunch spot. The food quality is definitely up there as well, a solid 4 out of 5. I love it here! It's my "go to" Mexican place! Sadly I haven't been here in probably like a year! It's not on my route! I happened upon it years ago on some random lunch hour. Both locations are killer, but the Hall location is the one I've hit up the most! The place is bright and colorful. I mean super colorful. So much fun! The only thing I ever order is the Carnitas Burrito! It is GIANT! I mean super huge! Loaded with slow cooked pork and covered in salsa! I never ever can finish it! If u can than I'm sorry, but you're a pig! LOL Over the years I've mostly got it to go! It transports very well and the presentation is great! Solid place. The enchilada plate I ordered was HUGE. Almost enough for 2 people really. Chicken was nicely seasoned. However, it seemed what I had ordered was just a normal enchilada plate with a crap ton of oregano sprinkled on...like a lot. Like too much. After shoving some off it was all good. Chips, salsa, and beans were so-so. Nothing to gawk at. Plus the staff in the bar was great and gave great recommendations for drinks and are super friendly. Strawberry/Pineapple colada anyone? For American type Mexican food, this is the best of Beaverton. There are great deals each day of the week, Taco Tuesday is my favorite. They have $2.00 tacos that are twice the size of most restaurants, so good! They also have a good happy hour, so get there early. We have always had good service. I ordered the carne asada fries Because they are truly one of my favorites! I really enjoyed how they put the wet toppings to the sides so that your fries don't get as soggy. I had made the order through GrubHub unfortunately they don't allow a comment section so I wasn't able to put that I didn't want onions or jalapeños. So I decided right after put in my order to call them and let them know I didn't want onions or jalapeños I didn't let two minutes go by when I had called them after placing the order. I tried to inform the worker that I had just ordered and if you could please make sure there was no onions or jalapeños. He proceeded by telling me that the order was already made (um??-- literally no more than two minutes since I had ordered it) Took me about five minutes to convince him to actually take a look at my order to allow me not to have onions and jalapeños on my order. Was definitely very frustrating having to convince someone to make your order to your liking? I like my dining in experience but I definitely don't think I would recommend takeout again especially if you're going to try to tell them to customize something. I loved the food here. Alot of great options to choose from, every thing tasted fresh and delicious and a very friendly staff. I've been craving enchiladas and Chile relleno and it tasted amazing along with the tortilla soup. Also the bulldog margarita is very very good. "Upgraded" meat in burrito to carne asada. It was all gristle and unseasoned...inedible. Because we were asked if everything was good, I answered. He took the bill back and disappeared for a bit. This used to be our go to place for Mexican since it's nearby and has vegan options. After tonight, never again. The worst service and experience overall! I ordered a margarita very simple with a special tequila and no triple sec. I've reiterated to the server how I just want a simple margarita with the lime juices, tequila and NO TRIPLE SEC. I watched the bartender pour the triple sec. I told the waiter it has triple sec. He told the bartender and she spoke in Spanish and said, "what does she want, if I don't put triple sec there won't be any alcohol" good thing I speak Spanish I guess. Next, I ordered the vegan enchiladas, twice the waiter asked what was it that I ordered and twice I told him. The enchiladas come out with shrimp and they were sent back second time still had shrimp. Wth?? Are they that out of it!!! I know he is new but I've ordered this dish every time I go there. He still didn't understand what the vegan enchiladas were. I said it's on your menu. By this time I was totally over with this place. I sat there without food while my daughter had her food. Totally unprofessional and rude and horrible service I would never step foot into that place again. Then they ended up charging me $16 for my margarita no comp on anything except the food that I never received no sorry no apology no nothing it was a completely horrible experience. Have been going to this restaurant for several years. The food is always very good as is the wait staff usually. Went there yesterday about 2:30 pm. We were immediately seated, however, we were seated way in the back of the restaurant in an empty room on the other side of the bar, while there were plenty of tables closer. I read about Si Senor in the October 2009 issue of "Runner's World," and thought, "This place looks good! I have to go there after I finish the marathon." In addition, I love Mexican food, but Mexican seems to be the one cuisine that New York can't master. We were a group of 9, but the restaurant had no trouble accommodating us. The salsa was good, but the bean dip is incredible! I ordered the Pollo Asado as a main course, which has some intense flavors that satisfied my palate. Not to mention that after running 26.2 miles, margaritas are the best thing ever. Si Senor lived up to its designation as a "Great Place to Nosh After the Marathon," and I'm glad that that article gave them national recognition. Check your bill if you eat at or order from Si Senor in Beaverton. We were overcharged for nearly everything we ordered. The prices on the printed menus were at least 10% lower than what was on our check. The waiter overheard me mention that the neglected to give us the Wednesday night discount price on margaritas and quickly printed a new check, said the system had been down and didn't reboot with the Wednesday drink price. Then we looked at the rest of the bill. The only thing we WEREN'T overcharged for was a meal from the kids menu. But the kids virgin margarita was charged at $2.50 over the menu price! I asked for the manager, but was told he was out making a quick delivery. I said we would wait, that he needed to know that it's illegal to charge over the published price. The head server and our server quickly got together and discussed. They offered us $5 in cash, even though the difference would have been almost 3 times that. My friend accepted this, not wanting to wait or raise a fuss. Personally, I find it unacceptable so I am warning anyone who chooses to patronize the restaurant to go over your bill very carefully. They just changed their menu but they have a good amount of vegetarian options and can modify to make items vegetarian as well. The black beans and white rice are vegetarian. Our server was extremely helpful and accommodating to our needs. Constantly asked us how we were doing and if the food was good. The menu has tons of options, everything we ordered down to the margaritas were fabulous. We ordered asada tacos, a shrimp burrito, an enchilada plate and asada with mole. Fast service with a smile. I love this place! The service here is simply wonderful. Everyone is treated like a true amigo here. We came in after a long day and the parking lot was packed. I expected a bit of a wait. It only took 10 minutes for us to get a table! Our server could tell we were tired and hungry. He promised he would get our food out quick and we were so pleased with the prompt service. First off bean dip, chips, and salsa showed up at the table right after we sat down and got our waters. The bean dip really hit the spot. The food came out quickly and piping hot! Huge plates and super large portions. This place is great! The options here are endless. Tons of different combos and a whole page dedicated to fajitas. I opted for an enchiladas trio. Each one came with a different sauce on top. Creme, chili verde, and red enchilada sauce. Sides of rice and beans as well as a small salad came with the meal. So. Much. Food. In the future I would probably split this with someone or plan to take some home for later. Do not do delivery with Si Senor. They say that they do in-house delivery and your order is correct by handling delivery. That is not true. DoorDash delivered my order and left before I could check my order. There was no bean dip and 2 orders of tacos were incorrect. After speaking to Si Senor employee, they wanted me to go pick up correct items and still pay for Door Dash fee and tip. Finally, I got a refund on my entire order but still had to pay Door Dash. Love, Love, Love their Blue Agave Margarita, yummmmy! Been here a few times and that drink is my go to drink, and I'm a pretty picky person. Their chips/salsa/bean dip are pretty good and they usually are pretty quick bringing these out to you. I have ordered the Chicken Chipotle and have always had enough for lunch the next day. The service has always been friendly and helpful. The reason for only a 4 star is because every time that I have gone there the greeters are not exactly the friendliest but at least the waiters make up for them. read more
