Enjoyed the background Mexican-themed Christmas music. Brought a festive mood to the dinner. Ana the bartender took care of us. She was attentive and walked us through the drinks and food menu. We ordered the following $15.45 Si Senor Habanero Margarita - strong and tasty. $18 Mexican Pizza with ground beef - shareable, filling. $16 Quesadillas with ground beef and corn tortillas - my son always enjoys this and basically inhales it. The downside was that several things had a surcharge. I've only tried the shrimp ceviche appetizer, guacamole, and complimentary chips with salsa and bean dip but was pleasantly surprised with everything! This building has been here forever and is very close to home. Used to be a Greek restaurant that I wasn't wild about. Went once or twice and that was that. I'm much more into Mexican food so this place is a semi-occasional stop, usually for dinner. There is another very good Mexican place also a mile or two from my home so it's nice to have choices. Not the most amazing Mexican food on the planet but it's pretty good. Consistent and predictable fare. If I'm in the mood for Mexican this is my go-to restaurant. Plenty of parking, attentive staff, reasonable prices and generous portions. Food is tasty and well prepared. I do meet friends here for happy hour two or three times a year when we're craving margaritas and happy hour. The good parts are that they give you free bottomless chips and salsa and bean dip and all are very tasty. Also the people who work there are so friendly. Great atmosphere and menu is what you would expect. The downsides are that the food is just not that tasty anymore. In fact, it doesn't seem as fresh... I don't know if there's just too much lard in everything but it's just so heavy and dense and not really that flavorful. All of the meats are very very fatty, either they just leave a lot of fat in the meat and don't trim it off or it's just swimming in fatty sauce. The rice is so overcooked. The other issue is that the last time we walked in the place was just filled with a hazy cooking cloud, and when you leave there your clothes and hair will absolutely smell like grease and like a fire. Similar to how I smell when I leave Benihana. They were closed recently because they had a grease fire in the kitchen. Because the place is filled with a greasy smell I wonder if they're now cleaning the grease out of the hood, or not! read more

Although they have all of the traditional dishes...some better than other...my go to here is the Surf and Turf Tacos...which is delicious skirt steak and bacon wrapped shrimp on three tortillas...comes with a super good avocado cream sauce...this is a wonderful plate for lunch or dinner. You can order a side of rice and beans for a few bucks more...but the tacos are large and filling g on their own. Chips and salsa are also great and come with bean aside as well. This spot finally reopened after a huge kitchen fire over a year ago, and we were excited to check it out and support their reopening. They definitely have a good aesthetic inside and it feels very welcoming and open. Our server was super nice and very attentive. He answered the couple small questions we had and constantly came back to give us water refills and to check on us. The food though is where the lack of stars comes from. The chips were fairly stale and the beans were pretty runny. They tasted like the bag was left open for a week. My wife had a daiquiri and it was also extremely bland and watery and fairly small for $15. Our actual entrees weren't terrible in taste. I did really enjoy the flavor of the enchiladas suizas, but for $20, they were so so small. It's tough to leave a $60 meal and still feel hungry, especially at a Mexican restaurant where portion sizes are usually massive. Overall, I couldn't see us going back anytime in the near future when there are other more affordable options with more bang for our buck. Great service, rough food. read more

Several locations with my favorite in Beaverton. They have outdoor seating and less crowded than other location. Our group of 5 ordered starting with margaritas and chips and finishing with full plates of yummy. I enjoyed the meal so much I ordered for delivery the next week with Enchiladas suizas. I ordered a side of tostadas and 2 tacos on corn tortillas with beans and rice. My friend had chicken fajitas. When the server brought the food we smelled a very strong burnt smell. My friends chicken was burnt. My Tostadas had burnt shredded beef sticking out both ends so bad the meat was hard. The taco shells were so soggy they fell apart and I could not pick them up. I ate the inside only. I would not write a bad review but my brother told me that he and his friend went there for lunch last week and the food was so bad he said they will never go back there. Had HIGH expectations for this Restaurant since i had very good previous experience at the "other" Si Senor restaurant in Beaverton. What a HUGE disappointment. The vibe here is absolutely horrible. We walked in - NO BODY in the lobby - the hostess looked at us - walked away and came back 5 minutes later. She did not smile or greet us. We were escorted to our table and had menus placed gently at the table. A few minutes later chips, salsa, and bean dip arrived without a greeting at all. After a few minutes our server stopped by, took our order - did not smile, perhaps she was having a bad day. Si Senor??? Paso Senor !!!! Avoid Cedar Mill location which just reopened after the kitchen fire. It's managements fault and the owners to push to open for Cinco de Mayo before the staff was trained. Our visit started off poorly when the host had enough cologne on for 4 people. We want to smell the kitchen, not cologne. Once we were seated not one but two servers came to take our drink orders within minutes of each other. When they established who was our server we asked for a happy hour menu shown on the website. They didn't know and went to ask, they came back and said there was no happy hour yet . Fine we said , we will have one of the Taco Tuesday $5 off plates. Let me ask he said and came back with , no taco Tuesday yet ( also on the website ) . However he did offer appetizers ( some of them but not all ) for $5 off and he thought $2 off some beers but didn't know which ones. None of this is likely the servers fault, it's managements and owners who are there to train & support the staff. It says on the Si Senor website " strongly believes that our employees are the key ingredient to our success" . We had our drinks and got the check , which didn't have the discount our server mentioned. We tipped nicely and left to find the side exit blocked by tack strips with nails in the path. And yes the chips & salsa is $7.50 now and there is no more discount for paying cash like previously. And Lazaro, if you're listening don't respond to poor reviews with " glad to hear you enjoyed your OVERALL dining experience" as you did to Amelia R. on yelp. The solution to the problems at Cedar Mill Si Senor is engaged management on site and owners who don't push staff and facility to open on a holiday to cash in before the staff is ready. An apology for the confusion and a free chips and salsa ( which cost them almost nothing but gain tons of goodwill ) goes a long way. Wake up Si Senor or it's No Senor!!! read more

We were seated immediately Wednesday at lunch, our server Jose H. was amazing. He checked on us regularly and was very personable and professional. Our food was a great experience from the start, the chips were served with great salsa and homemade bean dip (fucking bomb) and Jose even offered us spicier salsa (proceed with caution it was served small but it was mighty). We came to this place bc we are from Arizona where Mexican food is bountiful, since moving the PNW we have yet to find a place that satisfied our craving for authentic Mexican food. Our appetizer sampler was tasty, but I could guess it was under the heating lamps for awhile. The kids Carne asada was very seasoned, and dry. I honestly think they forgot about our table. In the last 30 minutes we were there, the waitress checked on us 5 times, after only coming to our table twice in the hour before. If the rating system had half stars, I'd give it a 3.5. Went on 11/02 for my Mom and Bros bday, mainly because we saw on social media they had a special for 2/$35 dinners and 2/$15 drinks. Friend and i ordered ítems specifically from the deal menu but since we didn't tell the waitress we wanted the deal we charged full price. Which ok is just a few bucks more no big deal. But then one of our other friends happened to discover a tip was already added to our bill which we were not informed of. When I questioned it the waitress offered to refund mine. But after talking with my father when we got home we realized he doubled tipped. Which really sucks!!! There needs to more communication about the this. The complimentary chips, salsa and beans that were served were warm, fresh and delicious. It was hard to not be those people to get full on chips before the meal comes lol (FYI the beans came with lard but they can bring out vegetarian beans upon request, and its all refillable) They have a variety of good vegetarian options. I ordered a mole burrito and I loved it. The burrito itself is quiet filling and the mole sauce was great. This is the only place I've been to that they actually offered to switch beef with fajita veggies on a mexican pizza, which I thought was considerate if you didn't want meat and it was crispy, fresh, and tasty as well. The popeye enchiladas had too much spinach in it but felt healthy and the combo plate was absolutely loaded and looked amazing. They are on the pricier end but they offered two different prices - a credit card and a cash price. And as you can imagine, the cash price was a little cheaper (not by much, maybe 3%). My veggie mole burrito with card was 17.56 before tip I hope they consider making at least the cash price cheaper and add other plant based proteins besides tofu but otherwise everything was top notch. We stopped by for lunch while in the area this weekend...always on the hunt for great Mexican. It was 12:30 on Saturday afternoon, they were pretty dead. The decor is nice, totally decked in Mexican style. Everyone we encountered on staff that day was very friendly. We were looking for a lunch section of the large menu, but alas the only lunch section was for weekdays only. So we ordered some house margs, the chicken quesadilla and the 3 enchiladas dinner. They do supply you with chips, salsa, and bean dip while you wait. Both bean dips were pretty good, salsa a tad spicy. The food came out hot and fast. We are Mexican food snobs, so we do expect a lot. The quesadillas were generous with the chicken, but lacking in flavor. The enchilada trio was ok, but needed some taste development for me. The red sauce one - needed more flavor within the sauce. The cream sauce one - tasted more like straight thick sour cream on top. The tomatillo sauced - has the best flavor of the 3. The margaritas tasted good, but definitely different. Almost tasted like they included a lemon-lime soda type ingredient. Overall we left full, just more average than top-notch Mex flavors in this, my first experience here. I'd say we'd be willing to try Si Señor again though. read more
