This has been our favorite Mexican restaurant for years, but our most recent experience was disappointing. We were told they are now charging for extra chips, salsa and beans. They also have changed their menu (gotten rid of some former favorites) and increased their prices significantly; most appetizers are $16-20, entrees are around $20+ and margaritas are $15+. Their prices were already increased last year as well. While I understand inflation and growing costs, they also completed a major expansion to the restaurant and the dramatic increase in prices seems a little ridiculous. Also, we came on a Friday night to celebrate my significant other's birthday. We were seated all clustered together in one part of the restaurant while the rest of the dining areas were open. The table next to us was very close. I told the waitress that it was my significant other's birthday and she acknowledged this. As the meal went on and we eventually got our check and paid, nothing was ever acknowledged again about his birthday. I've been to the restaurant many times and know that they typically sing at least and maybe include a small dessert. Meanwhile, we saw a mariachi band go over to another table that came in long after us to celebrate a birthday and sing to them. I was disappointed to say the least. We will likely be branching out to find other Mexican restaurants going forward. read more

Best Mexican food in the area. Have been here a few times now and have always had great service and delicious food. This last time was for my birthday, delicious margaritas and I was serenaded with an awesome sombrero on my head! Lol! Was in the area and this seemed like a fun place to eat at. We were able to get a table outside and it was nice to sit and watch the traffic go by. I had the combination meal and was very impressed. I was skeptical before trying this place, but I was pleasantly surprised by the food. Everything here just fits. The roasted jalapeño & onion guac was excellent, and their vegan menu is top notch. Definitely add a side of mole to the vegan mushroom burrito - those two are made for each other. Our service was wonderful, David is charming and genuinely friendly, attended our table 4/5 times per hour. I would return to this restaurant for David's service alone. A+ read more

Only been here twice but the food and service are great. They have a ton of seating. They must be fun at night, I'll have to try out their drinks one of these days when I don't have to go back to work. This place is fairly close to my work and is a great lunch option if I have time to sit down and enjoy a meal. The food comes out hot and quite tasty. Chips and salsa to start are good, they also give bean dip which I really like. I'm kind of boring on my food choices, creature of habit... 2 enchiladas with rice and beans. They are prompt with the bill which I appreciate, holding folks hostage after they are done is a real pet peeve of mine. I'll definitely keep coming back. read more

The restaurant is very inviting, as well as clean inside and out. The staff is good and they were very attentive while I was there. The drinks never ran out and the food came out fast after it was ordered. You are provided salsa and chips as most Mexican restaurants provide, but this one also provides a bean dip that pairs well and was an unexpected treat. The quality of the food was excellent. Presentation was nice and it was very warm and the ingredients were fresh. I had a carne asada burrito and it was fantastic. The meat had great flavor, which is something often overlooked. I won a $100 gift card for this restaurant over instagram! We had an amazing experience, and not just because it was free for us. The food was amazing and the staff was all very very nice. I asked our waiter if we can get a side order of beans and rice as soon as possible because my baby was so hungry and fussy. He did just so! Wow! I live in Los Angeles CA where there are many Mexican restaurants. This is def in my top 10!! I ordered the shrimp and spinach enchiladas. The sauce they put on them was great, the spinach was fresh and the shrimp was cooked to perfection, delicious! My coworker had the halibut fish tacos and said they were fantastic! The presentation of both plates was great, the waiter and other staff very friendly, all made eye contact and asked if we needed anything multiple times. This was our favorite restaurant to visit every week. It seems they may be under new management with a new menu. Food is good but they removed one of our favorite items, that's ok we tried other meals with good results but now they are charging $2.50 for additional chips and salsa. This seems very petty and annoying as no other Mexican restaurants charge for more chips and salsa. Prices on new menu have gone up a lot and then to charge for additional chips and salsa while ordering multiple meals and drinks is a big deal breaker for us. To add to the unpleasant surprise there was hair in the extra rice we ordered. We will be visiting other Mexican restaurants moving forward. I rarely ever write reviews . And I'm sad to write this type of review . My mom and I were really looking forward to trying si Senor for our first time ! The service was pretty good . We were enjoying our chips and salsa/bean dip when we found a hair in our bean dip. We were slighting grossed out but decided to give them another chance . So we put the bean dip aside and waited for a waiter to come so we could ask for more bean dip . We continued eating the chips and salsa , however as we were eating our chips we found yet another hair in them too . After that we just fully lost our appetite. We told the waiter we wanted to cancel our order and I guess they didn't mention it to the original server because the brought out the food anyways . We kindly told the waiter we had canceled our order due to the hair situation . He apologized and said the food had been made and they were going to toss it if we still wanted it . We declined , because after finding hair in not only one but two things , you have a bad impression of the place . The manager came out and apologized and gave us our drinks for free for the inconvenience. I can't say I'd come back here again or recommend it . I am currently pregnant and decided to send my husband to get take out because I just CRAVE that bean dip. But I wanted more. So upon looking at the menu online I see menudo with hominy.. which I have seen before and was so glad when it said they had it. I wanted everything on the side, of course. Hubs comes and I start pouring the menudo in a bowl come to find out it has no hominy. :( I was so upset. Also I couldn't believe they didn't provide cilantro to the side. $15 dollars for menudo to have just tripe in broth is pretty disappointing. read more

Tried it again. This used to be one of our favorite places. Sat on the patio and after several minutes had to ask the hostess for water and menus. Ordered street tacos. One was supposed to be shrimp but it was something else. When I finally got my shrimp taco it was swimming in something, not good. The other tacos just had some overcooked meat and one tortilla wrap so they just fall apart. So dry almost inedible. Then there were our drinks!! One sangria for $10.00 and one margarita for $15.00 (rounded up to the nearest $). Outrageous!!! So over priced. No wonder they don't put prices on the menu. He is greet at him job, a wonderfully kind human, and actually one of the first people we told we were expecting a baby a few years ago (that's how much we love him!) This is an excellent establishment. Plenty of atmosphere, friendly staff, quality food. Some of the prices sounded a little steep, so I went with a fajita burrito and it was excellent. I'm a big guy and I like to eat. Pleased to say that the portion I received was generous. The other options on the menu that looked like a great value were the combination plates with options for 1/2/or 3 entrees. My wife ordered the Ceviche and she loved it. There was plenty of seafood and she had left-overs to take home. Overall, we were very happy with our meal. The Flan is excellent as a dessert option as well. The bathrooms were clean and in order. We LOVE Si Señor! My boyfriend and I tried it out for the first time almost 2 years ago, when we skipped one of our college classes and wanted some Mexican food. We have always gotten exceptional servers and they recognize us now when we come in! Even if something has gotten messed up, they are quick to fix it and make sure things have been made right. We are incredibly patient and happy people so we've never had any complaints. This is a fun and upbeat atmosphere. We've been there for our first and second anniversary and intend to be there for our third as well! It holds a special place in our hearts and of course you can't beat the food!
